Water-absorbing resin particles, in which a light transmittance at a wavelength of 425 nm when the water-absorbing resin particles are swollen 30 times with a physiological saline solution is 20% or more, are disclosed.

Topsheet comprising natural fibers with good mechanical strength

A topsheet for use with an absorbent article is provided and comprises a first layer and a second layer. The first layer may be a spunlace nonwoven and may comprise at least 15% by weight of natural fibers by total weight of the first layer. The first layer may comprise a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of apertures. The first layer and the second layer may be in contact with each other between the majority of the protrusions. The second layer may have a plurality of apertures at least partially aligned with the apertures of the first layer. The first layer may have a minimum CD strength of at least 3N/(5 cm), according to the Tensile Strength Test Method.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED FLUID CONTAINMENT AND COMFORT
20210346210 · 2021-11-11 ·

The present invention relates generally to absorbent products, and, more particularly, to disposable absorbent articles that provide improvements in the containment of bodily fluid secretions. The fluid containment improvements are the result of adding gasketing barriers to standing leg cuffs of various absorbent articles. Adding gasketing barriers to the standing leg cuffs will decrease fluid leakage at the leg and crotch area of the user and will improve the comfort of the user.

Disposable absorbent article with unitary topsheet and unitary absorbent article

The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.

Absorbent article with strong and weak bonded portions

An absorbent article includes an absorber including cells, each of which is surrounded by bonded portions of a front surface side sheet and a back surface side sheet and in each of which the front surface side sheet and the back surface side seat are not bonded, and including superabsorbent polymer particles contained in each of the cells. The bonded portions are arranged in dotted line shapes according to a pattern in which same-sized octagonal portions having all interior angles of 135°, and having two pairs of opposite sides whose facing directions are mutually orthogonal are equal in length, and diamond-shaped portions each having equal length of all sides and being formed in portions among the octagonal portions, are arranged without any space in the front-back direction (LD) or the width direction (WD).

Method for producing recycled pulp fibers by decomposing super absorbant polymers with ozone

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing recycled pulp fibers such that articles using the recycled pulp fibers can easily achieve a uniform whiteness and users are not prone to feel psychological resistance to articles using the recycled pulp fibers. This method is described below. The method is characterized by involving: a step for supplying, from a mixed solution supply port (32) to a treatment tank (31), a mixed solution (51) which contains superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers derived from multiple types of used sanitary products; a step for supplying an ozone-containing gas (53) from an ozone-containing gas supply port (43) to a treatment solution (52) inside of the treatment tank (31); a step in which, by raising the ozone-containing gas (53) while lowering the superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers in the treatment tank (31), the ozone-containing gas (53) is brought into contact with the superabsorbent polymers and the pulp fibers, and the pulp fibers are bleached to form recycled pulp fibers; and a step for discharging the treatment solution (52) from a treatment solution discharge port (33), wherein the recycled pulp fibers have a 0-10 ΔYI with respect to a standard white plate.

Disclosed is an absorbent article comprising; (a) a topsheet having a skin facing side and a core facing side, the topsheet being liquid permeable and having the core facing side coated with at least about 0.01 mg/m.sup.2, preferably from about 0.05 mg/m.sup.2 to about 0.2 mg/m.sup.2, of calcium carbonate; (b) a backsheet which is liquid impermeable; and (c) an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material, the absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet.

Absorbent core, articles comprising said core, and methods of making

An absorbent core comprising substantially continuous zones of one or more high fluid distribution structures and discontinuous zones of fluid absorption structures surrounding the one or more high fluid distribution structures, wherein the one or more high fluid distribution structures are arranged to distribute fluid across the absorbent core at a speed that is faster than the speed of fluid distribution across the absorbent core by said discontinuous fluid absorption structures, and wherein said continuous zones extend along a path that is substantially parallel to at least a portion of the perimeter of the core, said portion of the perimeter of the core comprising at least a portion of the sides of the core and one of the ends of the core.

Absorbent article with core-to-backsheet glue pattern comprising two glues

An absorbent article comprises a topsheet on the wearer-facing side, a backsheet on the garment-facing side, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises an absorbent material comprising a superabsorbent polymer, a core wrap enclosing the absorbent material, and a first channel disposed on one side of the longitudinal axis and a second channel disposed on the other side of the longitudinal axis.
