Method for manufacture of absorbent article
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacture of an absorbent article, with which it is possible to form a desired coloring pattern upon an absorbent article and to reliably manage the quality of said coloring pattern. Provided is a method for manufacture of an absorbent article, in which: microcapsules, which are provided upon a substrate and in which coloring agents are enclosed, are destroyed in a prescribed pattern, and the coloring agents discharged upon the substrate; and the substrate is coated with a developer, causing the coloring to be expressed in the prescribed pattern via a reaction between the coloring agents and the developer.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming a composite structure, preferably for use in an absorbent structure used within the personal hygiene industry, such as for instance feminine hygiene garments, baby diapers and pants and adult incontinence garments. The present invention preferably provides a method and apparatus for depositing and positioning particulate materials in a desired pattern onto a moving carrier layer. The method allows accurate forming of a pattern of particulate material clusters at high production speed having improved attachment properties, with reduced raw material usage and relative low cost. The present invention foresees in the need for improved thin, flexible, lightweight absorbent structure having optimal absorption, distribution and retention.
Ultrathin absorbent hygienic pads
Ultrathin absorbent hygienic pads comprising a top layer, a middle absorbent layer, and a bottom layer and comprising one or more channels anchored from the top layer through the middle absorbent layer and into the bottom layer are provided. The ultrathin absorbent hygienic pads provided can be used to absorb bodily fluids.
ABSORBENT CORE WITH EFFICIENT FLOW GUIDE PROPERTY AND BREATHABILITY, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
An absorbent core with an efficient flow guide property and breathability, and method for manufacturing same. The absorbent core comprises a surface layer, a bottom layer, and an absorbent layer between the surface layer and the bottom layer; the absorbent layer comprises a non-woven fabric layer attached to the lower surface of the surface layer; a super absorbent polymer is uniformly scattered in the non-woven fabric layer; the surface layer and the non-woven fabric layer are attached to each other to form a composite layer; a flow guide groove is formed on the composite layer and divides the absorbent core into a plurality of absorbent regions; the composite layer with the flow guide groove is connected with the upper surface of the bottom layer; a super absorbent polymer is uniformly scattered between the bottom surface of the non-woven fabric layer and the upper surface of the bottom layer.
Cotendered nonwoven/pulp fabric and method for making the same
The present invention is directed to a nonwoven fabric made from a composite of nonwoven and pulp where the nonwoven has a high loft derived from a heat set three-dimensional relief structure and/or hydroengorged fiber structure. A nonwoven web is hydraulically treated to create a hydroengorged material having an increased loft. Alternatively a nonwoven web is treated to have a heat set three-dimensional relief structure. The treated web is then hydroentangled with pulp to form a cotendered nonwoven/pulp composite fabric.
ABSORBENT COMPOSITES
Absorbent composites are provided that include a nonwoven top layer having hydrophilic fibers and an absorbent core layer directly or indirectly attached to the nonwoven top layer, wherein the absorbent core layer comprises a through-air-bonded nonwoven. The absorbent composites may include a combination of (i) a composite-run-off value of less than 50% as determined by ISO 9073-11, (ii) a composite-absorption capacity of at least 600% as determined by ISO 9073, and (iii) a composite-rate of absorption of less than 10 seconds for a 5 ml liquid sample as determined by D824-94. The absorbent composites may include an optional film layer attached to the absorbent core layer.
Diaper core with triple leak guard
The present invention generally relates to a diaper core, specifically a triple leak guard diaper core (1) for infant and adult, comprising: a center core (10) comprising liquid absorbing material (12) and a plurality of hollow sections (14) disposed on the core (10) longitudinally, allowing the core (10) to bend upward or forming a U-channel, and a center core top surface (CCTS) is provided facing a liquid discharge source (16); at least one layer of bottom core wrap (16) encapsulates the center core (10) with a bottom core gap (BCG) disposed on the center core top surface (CCTS); at least one layer of top core wrap (18) is disposed on the bottom core gap (BCG) and the bottom core wrap (16); and at least one layer of acquisition distribution layer (20) is disposed on the top core wrap (18).
Fixed and removable absorbent cores for absorbent articles
A multiple use absorbent article includes a chassis absorbent unit having a chassis topsheet, a chassis backsheet, and a chassis absorbent core sandwiched between the chassis topsheet and the chassis backsheet. The article also includes an absorbent insert bonded to the chassis absorbent unit, a removable portion of the absorbent insert configured to be selectively removable from the chassis absorbent unit, wherein the absorbent insert includes an insert topsheet, an insert backsheet, and an insert absorbent core sandwiched between the insert topsheet and the insert backsheet. The absorbent insert further includes a line of weakness that provides for separation of the absorbent insert into a removable portion configured to be removed from the chassis absorbent unit, and a resident portion that remains bonded to the chassis absorbent unit.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH UNITARY TOPSHEET AND UNITARY ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.
