Absorbent articles forming a three-dimensional basin
An absorbent article such as a diaper comprises a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The absorbent layer comprises at least a longitudinally-extending central portion, and a first and second side portions disposed transversally outward of the central portion. The absorbent core further comprises first and second folding guides between the central portion and the side portions. Each side portion comprises a plurality of winglets, each winglet having a proximal side relative to a folding guide and extending outward from this proximal side, and wherein neighboring winglets are separated by a gap between their neighboring sides. The central portion and the side portions form a three-dimensional basin when the absorbent core is folded along the folding guides. The article further may comprise at least one liquid management layer substantially free of superabsorbent polymer between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The absorbent core may be substantially free of cellulose fibers.
Adhesive Tape Assemblies
Various fastener tape assemblies are described, which may be used in the manufacture of disposable articles, and particularly disposable articles. The fastener tape assemblies comprise a fastening component and a connecting component. The connecting component further comprises an extension component and a bonding component. The fastener tape assemblies provide a new folding configuration. In some embodiments, be essentially free of adhesive. In other embodiments, the face of the extension component may be at least partially covered by an adhesive. Also described are disposable articles utilizing the fastener tape assemblies the face of the extension component may described herein.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH BODY CONFORMING STRUCTURE
An absorbent article has a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent assembly positioned between the back sheet and the top sheet. The absorbent article includes a fluid intake layer positioned between the absorbent assembly and the top sheet. The fluid intake layer has a rearward-facing arch located in a back portion of the fluid intake layer. The fluid intake layer has an opening. The absorbent article includes a first lateral stiffener and a second lateral stiffener extending along a majority of the longitudinal side edges of the fluid intake layer. The absorbent article includes a first flexure, a second flexure, and a third flexure in a rear portion of the absorbent article.
Reclosable fastener with inactive regions
At least one aspect of the present disclosure features a reclosable fastener for use on a non-woven article having a first part and a second part. The reclosable fastener includes a first fastener component, a second fastener component, and an adhesive layer attaching the second fastener component to the second part of the non-woven article. The first fastener component has first fastening elements. The first fastener component is attached to or integrated with the first part of the non-woven article. The second fastener component includes second fastening elements configured to engage with first fastening elements. The second fastener component includes one or more inactive regions. The second fastening elements within an inactive region are substantially deactivated.
Fastening tape and mechanical fastener including microporous film
A fastening tape, mechanical fastener, methods of making them, and personal hygiene articles including them are disclosed. The fastening tape includes a tape backing having a fastening portion, an adhesive disposed on the fastening portion, and a release surface for the adhesive. The release surface is a either a release tape attached along one of its edges to the tape backing or a release coating disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the tape backing. At least one of the tape backing or the release surface comprises a microporous film having an opaque, microporous region and at least one see-through region of lower porosity within the opaque, microporous region. The mechanical fastener includes such a microporous film and mechanical fastening elements on at least one surface. The at least one see-through region extends through the thickness of the microporous film.

An absorbent article (1) comprising a main body part (2) including a top sheet (3), a back sheet (4) and an absorbent core (5) disposed therebetween, and a hook member (11) provided on a non-skin facing side of the main body part (2), wherein the hook member (11) comprises a base part (12) and a plurality of engagement elements (13) projecting from the base part (12), and the base part (12) of the hook member (11) is bonded to the main body part (2) with an adhesive part (14) disposed in a stripe pattern which extends in an extending direction of the hook member (11).

An absorbent article has a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent assembly positioned between the back sheet and the top sheet. The absorbent article includes a fluid intake layer positioned between the absorbent assembly and the top sheet. Fastening tab with adhesives having differential tackiness
The present invention relates to improved fastening tabs, in particular to fastening tabs for disposable absorbent articles such as diapers or sanitary napkins. The fastening tab generally comprises a substrate and a first adhesive on the substrate. The substrate has at least one fastening region comprising one or more patches of a fastening material attached to the substrate. Each of the patches comprising a plurality of fastening elements, and exposed areas between the patches of fastening material that are free of fastening material. The first adhesive is adjacent to at least one fastening region. The first adhesive has a first tackiness and the exposed areas of the have a second tackiness. The second tackiness is lower than the first tackiness.
Securing Member
A securing member is provided with a first, second, and third strip member, and the strip members are folded and laminated. The first strip member has a strip-shaped first substrate layer and a first adhesive layer provided on a first surface of the first substrate layer; the second strip member has a strip-shaped second substrate layer positioned between the first and third strip members, and a third adhesive layer provided on a first surface of the second substrate layer; and the third strip member has a strip-shaped third substrate layer and a third adhesive layer provided on a first surface of the third substrate layer. A portion of the first adhesive layer is detachably adhered to a second surface of the second substrate layer; a portion of the second adhesive layer is detachably adhered to a second surface of the third substrate layer; and the second substrate layer has elasticity.

Fastener tab (3) for an absorbent article (10) includes two hook-type strips of material, separated by an expansion area (39). The expansion area (39) has two folds (6, 7), creating a Z-fold type configuration. A strip of non-woven material which, when S-cut, may be used for the fastening tab region of an absorbent article (10).
