Disclosed is material saving clothing including a repeatedly usable general-purpose holding and looping member for replacement with a full-pad type or a partial-pad type absorbent article and an absorbent article. The holding and looping member has a rear waist portion that is provided with a rear opening and a rear clamp section and a front portion that is provided with a front opening and a front clamping section. The front portion is provided, on a lower portion of each of left and right sides thereof, with a side clamp section and anti-skidding glue. The absorbent article is provided, above a rear end thereof, with left and right rear pulling sections positionable into a rear opening and clamped (from opposite sides) by a rear clamp section and a front clamping section provided above a front end to be pulled through a front opening for clamping by a front clamping section.

An undergarment for covering a lower trunk has a clothing and an absorbent liner. The clothing is configured to cover the lower trunk and has a first adhering layer formed on a crotch portion of the clothing. The absorbent liner removably adheres to the crotch portion of the clothing and is configured to be disposed between the clothing and the lower trunk. The absorbent liner has a second adhering layer and a skin-contacting layer. The second adhering layer removably adheres to the first adhering layer of the clothing, and the skin-contacting layer is configured to contact crotch of the lower trunk directly. When the absorbent liner becomes full, only the absorbent liner itself has to be replaced, making the undergarment more convenient to use.

An underwear for a female wearer includes: a rear-side fabric-region that is configured to cover at least some of buttocks of the female wearer; a front-side fabric-region that is generally opposite said rear-side fabric-region and that is configured to cover at least some of a pelvis of the female wearer; and a gusset (or crotch-covering) fabric-region that is configured to cover genitalia and/or crotch of the female wearer. The invention relates to a sanitary towel element comprising a first laminar body and a second laminar body, wherein the two laminar bodies are joined in opposition to opposite end parts inside end cavities included in the sanitary towel element. A garment having a fabric body and an absorbent pad attached to the fabric body is disclosed. The absorbent pad includes a liquid impermeable barrier layer and a functional layer attached to the barrier layer. The functional layer has a wicking component and a liquid absorbent component. The liquid absorbent component is disposed between the wicking component and the barrier layer. The absorbent pad is washable and reusable.

A method of manufacturing an absorbent article includes feeding a first web of material in a machine direction, feeding a second web of material in the machine direction, the second web being spaced from the first web by a gap, attaching an absorbent assembly to the first web and the second web such that the absorbent assembly spans the gap between the first and second webs, forming a partial cut line through the second web, folding the first web into face-to-face relationship with the second web after forming the partial cut line, and cutting the first and second webs after folding the first web into face-to-face relationship with the second web to separate the absorbent article from the first and second webs. The partial cut line defines at least one finger tab on the absorbent article.

A multiple use absorbent article includes a chassis absorbent unit having a chassis topsheet, a chassis backsheet, and a chassis absorbent core sandwiched between the chassis topsheet and the chassis backsheet.
