Bicycle Carrier and Method for Serially Loading Bicycles Thereon
Carriers for wheeled vehicles are provided. In one embodiment, a carrier includes a support member (e.g., generally vertical support member), an automobile attachment member, an elongate upper member, and an elongate lower member. The elongate upper member has an elongate body and a free distal end configured for receipt of a wheel of a vehicle. Adjacent spokes of the wheel are positioned about the free distal end of the elongate member and the vehicle is moved backward along the elongate body towards the support member. The elongate body is configured to support the weight of the vehicle via contact with a rim of the wheel. The lower member includes a bar and one or more saddle members. Each saddle member is configured to slide along and/or rotate freely about the bar, and to fixate to another wheel of the vehicle to stabilize the vehicle hanging from the upper member.
BICYCLE CARRIERS AND SKEWER ASSEMBLIES
An assembly secures a bicycle having first and second fork prongs to a vehicle. The assembly includes an elongated skewer for mounting the first and second fork prongs of the bicycle thereon. The elongated skewer defines a longitudinal axis, and has a first end portion and a second non-threaded end portion. The assembly also includes a stop removably coupled to the second non-threaded end portion of the elongated skewer, and a sleeve movably coupled to the elongated skewer and removably coupled to the stop to lock the stop on the elongated skewer.
Shock absorbing securement device
A shock absorbing cradle for supporting a bicycle on an arm of a bicycle carrier. The cradle includes an arm receiving base having a bicycle carrier arm engaging surface and a floating carriage releasably coupled to the arm receiving base. The floating carriage includes an upper portion having a bicycle engaging surface and a resilient member disposed between the upper portion and the arm receiving base.
POWER TAKE OFF SYSTEM FOR WAVE ENERGY CONVERTOR
A device for generating electrical energy from mechanical motion includes a surface float and at least one force modifier disposed at least partially within the interior of the surface float, the force modifier to receive an input force at a pumping cylinder and apply a modified force to a generator through a driving cylinder. The pumping cylinder or the driving cylinder is a tandem cylinder.
MOTOR VEHICLE INTEGRATED CARRIER RACK AND STORAGE SYSTEM
An integrated carrier rack and storage system for vehicles is provided. Generally, the system includes a receiving unit, installed in a motor vehicle that receives a carrier bar device. The system further includes an immobilizing system attached carrier bar and various attachment units which facilitate in transportation and storage. The integrated carrier rack and storage system is user friendly and may be applied to any motor vehicle to carry an assortment of items and store them using the same system.
