As a result, the transport aid can be quickly disassembled into members for easy carry; furthermore, these members can be quickly assembled to a transport aid as a wheelchair, so that any person with disability can sit thereon and easily and comfortably be transported.
Wheelchair braking device
An embodiment provides a wheelchair braking device, the wheelchair braking device including: at least two brake mechanisms, wherein, when the wheelchair braking device is engaged in a brake position on a wheelchair, at least one brake mechanism engages with a first of a plurality of wheels on the wheelchair and at least a second brake mechanism engages with a second of the plurality of wheels on the wheelchair; a connection component extending between the at least two brake mechanisms; and a brake handle connected to the connection component and causing movement of the at least two brake mechanisms simultaneously with respect to the plurality of wheels. Other aspects are described and claimed.
PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A soft-walled inflatable cradle (10) has a seat section (14), a back-support section (16), and a pair of opposed side panel sections (18, 20) extending between respective sides of the back-support and the seat. The cradle is positioned about a patient in an un-inflated condition and inflated to define a self-supporting seat structure. The cradle may be formed in at least two separable parts which can be positioned about a patient and connected together prior to inflation. The cradle may be used in co-operation with apparatus which include rollers over which the inflated cradle is moved. Methods of handling a patient using the cradle are also disclosed.
Wheelchair drive boost
Wheelchair drive boost apparatuses, drive assisted wheelchairs, and wheelchair drive boost systems are disclosed. A wheelchair drive boost apparatus includes a housing, a drive wheel including a drive axis that is movable with respect to the housing, a drive lever that engages with the drive wheel to cause the drive wheel to rotate, a transmission that couples the drive lever to the drive wheel, and an engager having a first position and a second position. The engager is configured to move the drive axis with respect to the housing.
WHEELCHAIR FRAME STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING WHEELCHAIR
A front wheel and a rear wheel are to be provided at a grounding frame. A body frame is mounted on the grounding frame and includes a mount at which a seat is to be provided. A relative position between the grounding frame and the body frame in a height direction of a wheelchair is changed via a height adjustment mechanism. The height adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment pole, a pole reception, and a holding portion. The adjustment pole extends along the height direction and is mounted on one of the body frame and the grounding frame. The pole reception is mounted on another of the body frame and the grounding frame and is engaged with the adjustment pole slidably in the height direction. The holding portion is to hold not to relatively move the adjustment pole with respect to the pole reception.
Cable tension adjuster for height-adjustable wheeled vehicle
A cable tension adjuster for a manually operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle. The vehicle includes a brake assembly including a brake cable assembly and a brake cable housing shaped to enclose an excess portion of the brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly, where the cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. The brake cable housing provides an access port to access the cable tension adjuster.
CHILD MEDICAL TRANSPORT APPARATUS, ASSEMBLY AND METHOD THEREOF
An assembly of a first and second child transport apparatus is disclosed. Each apparatus may include: a frame having a frame base, at least one wheel, and a handle; at least one brake and a brake rod, wherein the brake rod is attached to the frame, and wherein the at least one brake actionable upon the wheel when the brake rod is actuated; a carriage pivotably attached to the frame; and a foldable backrest pivotably attached to a base of the carriage, wherein, in a nested position, the foldable backrest of the first apparatus is folded down and the carriage of the second apparatus is positioned partially within the carriage of the first apparatus such that the carriage of the second apparatus is disposed partially over the foldable backrest of the first apparatus; and the brake rod of the first apparatus is released by the handle of the second apparatus.
Combination wheelchair-walker device
A combination wheelchair-walker having an upper frame; a lower frame comprised of two arc-shaped members, in which each arch-shaped member is configured to extend from the front of the device to the back of the device, each of the two arc-shaped members having a front end and a rear end; two front wheels; two rear caster wheels, each of which is attached to the rear end of one of the two arc-shaped members; and two skids, each of which is attached to the front end of one of the two arc-shaped members. The upper frame is configured to be detached from the lower frame by unlocking four retention pins and lifting the upper frame off of the lower frame.
