FRONT TRUNK LATCH ENTRAPMENT RELEASE SYSTEM
A latch release system for a vehicle includes a primary and a secondary latch securing a front hood. An emergency handle within a compartment is covered by the front hood, linked to the primary latch and movable to actuate a switch. An actuator is arranged to release the secondary latch. A controller is configured to trigger the actuator to release the secondary latch responsive to actuation of the switch. An emergency latch release system for front compartment of a motor vehicle and a method are also disclosed.
Locking Device for a Motorcycle Seat
A locking device for locking a seat of a vehicle, in particular a motorcycle or motorcycle-like vehicle, is provided. The locking device includes a locking element for locking the seat and a Bowden cable for actuating the locking device. The Bowden cable is connected by a first end to the locking element and by a second end to an actuation lever for actuating the Bowden cable. A vehicle with the locking device is also provided.
DOUBLE PULL LATCH FOR CLOSURE PANEL SUCH AS HOOD
In an aspect, a latch for a closure panel for a vehicle is provided, and includes a ratchet, pawl, release lever, and extension member. The ratchet is movable between a primary closed position, secondary closed position and open position. The pawl is movable between a primary locking position, secondary locking position and unlocking position. The release lever is movable between home and actuated positions. When the pawl is in the primary locking position the release lever has a selected amount of reach for driving the pawl to the secondary locking position during movement of the release lever to the actuated position. When the pawl is in the secondary locking position the extension member is movable to extend the reach of the release lever to drive the pawl from the secondary locking position to the unlocked position during movement of the release lever from the home position to the actuated position.

Tell-tale indicator for locating a secondary hood latch release
A tell-tale indicator for aiding an operator in locating and operating a secondary hood latch release in a gap between a vehicle body and an openable hood includes an indicator configured to locate the secondary hood latch release such that the secondary hood latch release is readily locatable and operable to open the hood. The indicator may be further configured to display an operating direction of the secondary hood latch release.
Closing device for a motor-vehicle hood, and method
A closure device comprises a locking mechanism, which has a rotary latch and a pawl, and an electrical drive for opening the locking mechanism. The closure device has an actuating apparatus for actuating the electrical drive, such that the locking mechanism can be opened exclusively electrically. Thus, there is no mechanical system for enabling the locking mechanism to be opened exclusively in a mechanical manner. In the non-actuated state, the electrical drive is completely disconnected from the current-carrying electrical conductors. Thus, there is then no voltage on the drive, which must be used to open the locking mechanism. The actuating apparatus includes one or more electrical contacts that are closed to contact the electrical drive to a current source and put the electrical drive into operation such that an associated door or flap can be opened.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR BONNETS COMPRISING AN ELECTRIC DRIVE AND LOCKABLE ACTUATOR
The invention relates to a safety device (1) for a motor vehicle, said device having: a bonnet (2) with an open position and a closed position; and a bonnet lock (3) with a lock retainer (10; 71), the bonnet lock (3) having: a rotary latch (4) with a preliminary locking position and a main locking position, in which the bonnet (2) is locked and closed; and an electric drive (5), which shifts the rotary latch (4) from the main locking position into the preliminary locking position. The lock retainer (10; 71) has an actuator (41; 72), wherein in a first position of the actuator (41; 72) and in the preliminary locking position of the rotary latch (4) the lock retainer (10; 71) engages with the rotary latch (4) and the bonnet (2) is locked and in a second position of the actuator (41; 72) the lock retainer (10; 71) is released by the rotary latch (4) and the bonnet (2) is unlocked. The bonnet (2) is coupled to the actuator (41; 72) such that in the preliminary locking position of the rotary latch (4) a displacement of the bonnet (2) towards the closed position of the bonnet (2) causes a displacement of the actuator (41; 72) from the first position into the second position.
SECURING DEVICE FOR FRONT HOODS, COMPRISING AN ELECTRIC DRIVE
The invention relates to a securing device (1; 101) for a motor vehicle, having a front hood (2, 102) and a hood lock (3, 103) with a lock holder (10, 110). The hood lock (3, 103) has a rotary latch (4, 104) with a pre-locking position and a main locking position and an electric drive (5, 105) which causes a switchover of the rotary latch (4, 104) from the main locking position into the pre-locking position. In the main locking position, a release of the lock holder (10, 110) is blocked, and the front hood (2, 102) is closed. In the pre-locking position, the lock holder (10, 110) can be manually moved between a closed position, in which the lock holder (10, 110) is engaged with the rotary latch (4, 104) and the front hood (2, 102) is locked, and an open position, in which the lock holder (10, 110) is released from the rotary latch (4, 104) and the front hood (2, 102) is unlocked.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock comprising a locking mechanism provided with a rotary latch and at least one pawl, a rotary movement of the rotary latch can be blocked by means of the pawl, a drive device by means of which the pawl can be transferred from the locked position into a release position for the locking mechanism, and an adjusting device (9). A motor vehicle part (4) accommodating the vehicle lock can be moved from the closed position into an open position by means of the adjusting device (9). Said adjusting device (9) maintains the motor vehicle part (4) in the open position such that the motor vehicle part (4) can be prevented from opening automatically from the open position.
DOOR STOP MECHANISM FOR HOLDING A DOOR OF AN ENCLOSURE IN AN OPEN POSITION
An assembly according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes an enclosure having a housing and door hingedly attached to the housing and a door stop mechanism which holds the door in an open position. The mechanism includes a link member pivotally connected to the door and to the housing. The link member has an elongated slot which extends along a portion of the link member. The slot has a linear portion and an enlarged opening at an end thereof which is offset from the linear portion. When the door is opened, a fastener, which is either mounted to the housing or to the door, slides along the slot until the fastener is positioned in the enlarged opening to hold the door open.
