Folding cargo bay cover for pickup truck
A cargo bay cover for a pickup truck includes at least first and second panels hingedly connected to each other. The first panel includes a release mechanism including a lever arm that is movable between a released position and an unreleased position, and a lock that is movable to a locked position preventing movement of the lever arm. The cover includes a resiliently deformable panel latch that is released when the first panel is opened and that is capable of flexing around a keeper if the cover is opened incorrectly. The cover includes a unique mounting clamp for attachment to the pickup truck. A second half of the mounting clamp rides up a shoulder on a first half of the mounting clamp as the halves are drawn together, enabling the to pinch in two directionsone parallel to the drawing force and another perpendicular to the drawing force.
HANDLE FOR A VEHICLE DOOR
The present invention relates to a handle for a vehicle door, comprising:
an activation member configured to activate a latch of a vehicle door so as to unlatch the door,
a grip member (3) configured to cooperate with the activation member so as to unlatch the door,
wherein the grip member (3) comprises a gripping part (31), the grip member (3) being movable between; a flushing position in which the gripping part (31) extends flush to an external panel (10) of the door, an active position in which the gripping part (31) projects with respect to the external panel (10) and becomes graspable, and the grip member (3) cooperates with the activation member, and an opening position in which the grip member (3) drives the activation member to activate the latch and unlatch the door, and
a driving mechanism and an actuator lever cooperating with the grip member (3) such that the grip member (3) may be driven between the flushing position and the active position,
the handle being configured such that when the grip member (3) is pulled according to an opening direction, the grip member (3) drives the activation member which in turn activates the latch to unlatch the door.
Device for unlocking a door
Device for unlocking a door, comprising at least one operating element; a bolt; a coupling which can be placed in the door and which is coupled between the bolt and the operating element, wherein the coupling comprises a pair of scissor arms mounted rotatably around a fixed shaft, and a pair of pivot arms, wherein each pivot arm is connected at a first end for pivoting around a first shaft to a scissor arm and connected at a second end for pivoting around a second shaft to a push part intended to engage against the bolt, such that a tilting of the operating element brings about a movement of the push part, and thus of the bolt.
Replacement door handle for vehicle
A flush mounted, vehicle door handle includes a housing having an outer wall defining an interior recess and a handle pivotally coupled to the housing. A first portion of the handle is configured for pressing on a first side of a fulcrum and a second portion of the handle is configured for pulling on a second side of the fulcrum. The handle is disposed within the interior recess of the housing when positioned in a first, resting position. The first portion of the door handle has a back surface provided for actuating a door latch mechanism of an existing vehicle door when the housing is mounted to a door panel of a vehicle. Thus, when the handle is pivoted about the fulcrum to a second position, the door latch mechanism is actuated causing the door latch mechanism to release the automobile door allowing the door to open.
HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE AND M ETHOD OF ACTUATING THE SAME
A hood latch assembly for a vehicle is provided. The assembly includes a first latch that is rotated in a first opening direction by a first lever disposed within a driver's seat, to push a striker mounted on a lower surface of a hood to pop up the hood. A second latch restricts or releases the striker to couple or decouple the hood to or from a vehicle body. A second lever rotates the second latch to allow the second latch to release restriction of the striker, and a housing accommodates the first and second latches and the second lever. Additionally, an extendable lever is disposed at a side of the second lever, and extends, when the hood is popped up, to protrude outward.
Hidden flush outside handle
An outside handle of a vehicle that releases a door latch, including a slot that includes a rotatable flap that sits flush against an outer panel of the vehicle in a closed position. The rotation of the flap provides an opening to an inside of the handle in an open position. The handle includes a rotating lever behind the outer panel, and a lock rod attached to the rotating lever. Downward rotation of the lever moves the rod downward, and the downward motion of the rod then triggers the latch.
Animal-resistant latching system
An animal-resistant latching system for inhibiting animals from accessing food and food containing refuse within containers. The device is composed of an access panel containing an opening to which is secured at least one latching members, a cam assembly, a cover, and a bracket. The latching members are positioned so as to inhibit access to the container when the member is in the latched position and allow access to the container when the member is in the unlatched position. The cam assembly communicates with the latching members so as to move the members between the latched and unlatched positions. The cover and bracket are dimensioned and positioned on the access panel in a predetermined manner so as allow human hands access to the cam assembly and unlatch the container while simultaneously inhibiting such access by animals.
PRESSURE RELIEF LATCH
A latch including a housing having side members each having an elongated slot, a bolt mounted rotatably to the housing and positioned between the side members of the housing, a trigger mounted rotatably to the housing, and a pin and roller positioned slidably within the elongated slots of the side members of the housing. The bolt is moveable between a first, closed position and a second open position. The trigger is moveable between a first position, in which the pin and roller are engaged with the bolt when the bolt is in its first position, and a second position, in which the pin and roller are disengaged from the bolt. The latch can be opened automatically when a defined load is provided on the bolt, or manually by depressing the trigger to disengage the pin and roller from the bolt.
HANDLE MECHANISMS
A handle mechanism includes a gear drive having an interior end and an exterior end; an inside handle fixed to the interior end; a button; a finger; a handle drive; an outside handle; and a spring. The button has an interior end and an exterior end, which is positioned within the exterior end of the gear drive. The handle drive is positioned within the exterior end of the gear drive and is rotatable relative thereto. The outside handle and the handle drive rotate together. The outside handle moves between a first position, wherein it is constrained from rotation, and a second position. The finger is fixed to the exterior end of the button, which moves between a first position, wherein the finger causes the gear drive and the handle drive to rotate together, and a second position. The spring biases the button and the outside handle toward their first positions.
