Patient support apparatus having patient lift
A patient bed has a siderail that is movable to a raised position elevated over a central region of a mattress of the patient bed for use as part of a patient lift of the patient bed. In a lowered position, the siderail blocks egress of a patient from the mattress. In the raised position of the siderail, a sling arm is coupleable to the siderail and a sling is coupleable to hooks of the sling arm.
Dialysis bed
A dialysis bed and additional accessories are provided. The dialysis bed includes a head board, a foot board and a base. The head board includes a head board slot running from a side edge towards a central portion of the head board. The foot board includes a foot board slot running from a side edge towards a central portion of the foot board. The foot board slot aligns with the head board slot. The base connects the head board and the foot board together and is disposed beneath the slots. The present invention further includes a sliding platform. The sliding platform includes a first end having a first handle and a second end having a second handle. The first handle slidably engages within the head board slot and the second handle slidably engages within the foot board slot.
Thermotherapy device
A thermotherapy device (incubator) includes a lying surface bordered by side walls with a side wall part suspended via a hinge allowing downward pivoting with a lock for an upright closed position. The locking mechanism has a closing projection that can enter an open side receptacle, with guide curve, to lock the side wall part in the upright closed position on a stationary structure of the heat therapy device. The closing projection or the receptacle is suspended so as to be linearly movable in the direction of connection lines thereof to the pivot axis of the hinge, such that the closing projection can be moved to a position in front of the open side of the receptacle. A preloading apparatus ensures that the closing projection and the receptacle are pressed together in form-closed engagement when the closing projection and the open side of the receptacle are oriented toward each other.
Adjustable bed foundation with rotating head section
An adjustable bed foundation comprises an outer support structure including a head rail, a foot rail, and two parallel side rails. A first pair of cross members extends perpendicularly between the parallel side rails, while a second pair of cross members extends perpendicularly between the first pair of cross members. An articulating frame, which includes a stationary section and a rotating head section pivotally connected to the stationary section, is secured to the second pair of cross members such that the rotating head section extends towards the head rail. The adjustable bed foundation also includes a platform secured to the articulating frame. Adjustable bed assemblies are further provided and include a mattress positioned atop the platform of the adjustable bed foundation.
TABLE ARMBOARD ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY
Methods and systems are provided for an armboard adjustment assembly for a patient support table. In one embodiment, an armboard adjustment assembly is configured to retain a rotational position of an armboard of a patient support table via a plurality of one-way clutches, and in another embodiment the armboard adjustment assembly is configured to retain the rotational position of the armboard via a pair of friction pads. In this way, the armboard may be moved into a continuous plurality of positions between a fully lowered position and a fully raised position.
Occupant falls risk determination systems, methods and devices
A method comprises determining a person's level of risk for developing an adverse condition; selecting a care protocol based on the level of risk; displaying a proposed configuration of a person support structure corresponding to the care protocol for a caregiver to approve; and upon approval by the caregiver, implementing the configuration.
Hide away bed rail
A bed rail having an operating position at one of the sides of a bed and a stored position between a mattress and box spring of the bed. To take down the bed rail, a guard frame portion is disengaged from a base frame portion, then the guard frame portion is pivoted and slid into the base frame portion. To set up the bed rail, the guard frame portion can be slid out of the base frame portion, pivoted relative to the base frame portion, then engaged to the base frame portion and into the operating position at a side of the bed.
Seating device with collapsible arms
A seating device is provided have collapsible armrests. The collapsible armrests are attached to the seating device via brackets that hold the collapsible armest in a secure erect position while allowing the collapsible armrests to be rotated into a collapse position for access to the seating device. The armrests are externally attached on both side of the seating device and remain attached in both the erect and collapsed positions.
USER INPUT DEPLOYMENT BASED ON FOOT PEDAL ENGAGEMENT
A patient bed has a pedal that is engaged by a user's foot to control a feature of the patient bed. The patient bed also has a user input such as a control panel or graphical user interface (GUI). The user input deploys from a storage position to a use position in response to engagement of the pedal by the user. For example, the user input deploys automatically out of a cavity in a siderail of the patient bed to a use position in response to a brake pedal of the patient bed being moved to a brake position to brake casters of the patient bed.
