MEDICAL APPARATUS COVER

A cover for covering a portion of a hospital bed barrier that includes a sheet of material that has sufficient flexibility and elasticity to stretch from a first configuration to a second configuration. When in the first configuration, the cover is insufficient in size to cover at least a portion of a hospital bed barrier and, when in the second configuration, the cover is sufficient in size to cover at least a portion of a hospital bed barrier.

Shower stretcher

A shower stretcher assembly including a frame which supports a platform having panels that define a back rest section, a seat section, and a foot section. The seat section is flexible and capable of conforming to the shape of a person lying thereon.

SHOWER STRETCHER

A shower stretcher assembly (10) includes a frame (22) which supports a platform (20) consisting of three mattress support panels (50-54), and a headboard (16) and foot board (18). The support panels (50-54) define a back rest section (30), a seat section (31) and a foot section (32). The seat section (31) is of flexible material to more closely conform to the shape of a person lying thereon. The stretcher assembly (10) is provided with side barriers (68) at each head and foot end, the side barriers (68)arranged to move between a raised vertical position, a raised position extending outwards from the frame, and a lowered position in which they lie alongside the frame so as to be below the level of the mattress of the stretcher. The side barriers present substantially vertical walls to accommodate a water-resistant mattress with side walls (28).

Method of Predicting Occupant Egress from an Occupant Support Based on Perimeter Panel Status and Occupant Location, and a Related Apparatus
20170156638 · 2017-06-08 ·

A method of evaluating the likelihood that an occupant will exit an occupant support comprises determining if the location of the occupant on the occupant support is displaced relative to a reference location, and if the location of the occupant is so displaced, designating that the occupant is at a risk of exiting the occupant support which is elevated relative to the baseline risk. A support apparatus comprises a framework, a mattress, sensors distributed on the support apparatus to sense occupant weight distribution on the support apparatus, and a processor adapted to designate a risk of occupant egress as a function of the direction of the occupant weight distribution and the elevation status of the perimeter panels.

Hospital bed obstacle detection apparatus

A hospital bed obstacle detection device and related method for detecting an obstacle between first and second components of a hospital bed is provided.

RECONFIGURABLE TRANSPORT APPARATUS

A transport apparatus includes a frame, a lift mechanism supporting the frame, and a litter deck for supporting a person. The litter deck is adapted to be reconfigured between a chair configuration and a cot configuration. The litter deck is also adapted to be removably mounted to the frame, with the litter deck being adapted to be supported by the frame while the litter deck is in its chair configuration and also while being reconfigured between its chair configuration and its cot configuration.

A bed is provided having a base frame, a patient support assembly connected to the base frame, and a tilt frame connected between the base frame and the patient support assembly. The tilt frame is rotatable adjacent the foot end of the bed to place the patient support assembly, including the head section, seat section and foot section thereof, in a generally vertical position to allow a patient to exit the bed in a standing orientation. The bed also has a foot board assembly connected to the foot section, the foot board assembly having a foot board separately moveable about a longitudinal axis of the bed toward the head end and the foot end of the bed.

HOSPITAL BED CONTROL AND CHARTING

A patient support apparatus, such as a hospital bed, communicates with an electronic medical record (EMR) system in healthcare facility. The hospital bed includes a patient support structure to support a patient, a graphical user interface coupled to the patient support structure, and control circuitry coupled to the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface displays at least one input that may be used by a caregiver to chart data into an electronic medical record (EMR) of a patient supported by the patient support structure.

MICROCLIMATE SYSTEM FOR A PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
20170000671 · 2017-01-05 ·

According to the present disclosure, a microclimate system includes a support surface, an air box, and an immersion sensor. The support surface is configured to support a patient and conduct air along a surface of the support surface so that heat and moisture from a patient lying on the support surface are drawn away from the surface. The air box includes a blower coupled to the support surface to provide airflow to the support surface. The immersion sensor is configured to detect the immersion of the patient into the support surface.
