Hospital bed having turn assist panels
A patient bed includes turn assist panels to rotate portions of a mattress. Some patient beds have siderails that are movable by a patient so that the patient can egress from the bed without interference from the siderails. Some patient beds have caregiver control panels for controlling features and functions of the patient bed, such as movement of the turn assist panels.
Powered width expansion of articulated bed deck
A bed comprises a fixed width deck section, a wing movably coupled to the fixed width section, and a rack and pinion mechanism for extending and retracting the wing.
Bed frame of a canopy style construction typically found in a home setting integrating assistive components therein
The present invention relates to a bed frame of a canopy style construction typically found in a home setting integrating assistive components therein, exemplary assistive components optionally including one or more of a trapeze device, a balance pole and an assist rail, and also wherein there is an option that the assistive components to be selectably concealed. The frame has four corner posts, two longitudinal rails and two lateral rails. A cross-brace and two longitudinal braces are provided for supporting a trapeze assembly. An integrated night stand having an integrated assist rail that moves from a storage position to a deployed position is provided. An integrated balance pole with a top piece and bottom piece, and a base, is provided. Structures can be provided for concealing the assistive components when they are not in use.
PATIENT SUPPORT WITH STAND-UP AND SIT FEATURES
A bed is provided having a base frame, a patient support assembly connected to the base frame, and a tilt frame connected between the base frame and the patient support assembly. The tilt frame is rotatable adjacent the foot end of the bed to place the patient support assembly, including the head section, seat section and foot section thereof, in a generally vertical position to allow a patient to exit the bed in a standing orientation. The bed also has a foot board assembly connected to the foot section, the foot board assembly having a foot board separately moveable about a longitudinal axis of the bed toward the head end and the foot end of the bed.

Transport apparatus
A first transport apparatus includes a deck for supporting a patient thereon and a lift mechanism supporting the deck. The deck is removable from the lift mechanism for use as a second transport apparatus or part of a second transport apparatus. The first transport apparatus further includes an electrically powered device at the first transport apparatus, and a user input device for wireless control of the electrically powered device, which is operable at or near the first transport apparatus and the second transport apparatus.
Hospital chair beds with extendable/retractable foot sections
A hospital bed includes a base, a lifting mechanism, a rotating frame configured to rotate horizontally relative to the base, and a patient support surface pivotally secured to the rotating frame. The patient support surface includes a back section, a seat section, and foot section that articulate relative to each other. The patient support surface translates from a bed configuration to a side-egress chair or stand assist configuration. The foot section includes first, second, and third panels operably connected together and that are configured to move relative to each other in substantially parallel overlapping planes between an extended configuration when the patient support surface is in a bed configuration and a retracted configuration when the patient support surface is in a chair configuration. Contact of the foot section with a floor forces the first, second, and third panels to move to the retracted configuration.
BED APPARATUS
According to an embodiment, a bed apparatus includes a frame, a side rail, and a holder. The holder is secured to the frame. The holder holds the side rail to make the side rail switchable between a first position state where the side rail is in a first position and a second position state where the side rail is in a second position lower than the first position. The holder includes: a lock portion to lock the side rail in the first position state; a cover portion to cover at least part of the lock portion; a lever portion to be operated to release lock of the lock portion; and a stopper portion to make it difficult for the lever portion to operate to release the lock. The bed apparatus that can prevent erroneous release of the lock can be provided.
