The piece of sleeping or reclining furniture is characterized in that the at least one sensor (12) is arranged at a section (120) of the support element (2) that is decoupled from further sections of the support element (2) and/or of the sleeping or reclining furniture.
PATIENT SUPPORT INTERFACE DEVICE
A patient bed includes an interface device having buttons for positioning the patient bed to accommodate a patient's body. The buttons can be illuminated, and can be responsively dimmed when the patient bed reaches movement thresholds to communicate to the user that further movement according to the particular button is discouraged and/or unavailable.
Pillow apparatus
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a pillow apparatus that is structured to support a user's limbs or legs. The pillow apparatus typically comprises a pillow body. The pillow body typically comprises a first concave depression positioned on a first surface of the pillow body. The first concave depression is structured to support at least a portion of a thigh of a user or a portion of crus leg part of the user. In some embodiments, the pillow body also comprises a second concave depression positioned on a second surface of the pillow body, opposite the first surface. Moreover, in some embodiments, the pillow apparatus comprises a coupling member structured for releasably connecting the pillow apparatus with an adjacent pillow apparatus.
Collapsible Foot Support
A novel foot support device includes a first sidewall adapted to engage the lateral side of a first foot, a second sidewall adapted to engage the lateral side of a second foot, and a backwall adapted to engage both the plantar region of the first foot and the plantar region of the second foot. In a particular embodiment, the first sidewall includes an inclined interior surface, the second sidewall includes an inclined interior surface, and the backwall includes an inclined interior surface. In another particular embodiment, the foot support device includes sidewalls and a backwall that can flatten and pivot relative to one another, facilitating a collapsible foot support device.
Device for positioning a bedridden patient
A device is for positioning a bedridden patient, in particular for keeping the lateral Trendelenburg position or another safety position. In particular, a medical device includes at least a first shaped pillow (1) adapted to support a patient's back and to keep the patient in a lateral position with a predetermined inclination angle. The pillow (1) can be extended in width along a lateral direction (L2) so as to tailor the pillow to the patient's body size.
Leg support
A leg support system includes an ankle cradle for preventing or mitigating pressure ulcers on heels of a patient supported on a top surface of a medical support platform. The ankle cradle includes a cradle base, a first ankle support, and a second ankle support. The cradle base has a bottom surface and is sized and dimensioned to be supported on the top surface of the medical support platform, with the bottom surface of the cradle base contacting the top surface of the medical support platform. The first ankle support is coupled to the cradle base. The second ankle support is spaced apart from the first ankle support and couples to the first ankle support or the cradle base.
Patient Support Apparatus Having An Extension
A patient support apparatus having a support structure with a primary support surface for a patient, and an extension manually movable by a user relative to the support structure from a stowed position to an extended position so that the extension provides auxiliary support for the patient in the extended position. A locking device is operable to releasably hold the extension relative to the support structure in the stowed position and the extended position. A release mechanism is operable to manipulate the locking device to release the extension for movement relative to the support structure, and is movable with the extension from the stowed position to the extended position.
Patient Support Apparatus Having A Telescoping Assembly
A patient support apparatus comprising a base, an intermediate frame arranged for movement relative to the base, a support deck disposed on the intermediate frame to provide support for a patient, and a telescoping assembly operatively attached to the intermediate frame. The telescoping assembly comprises a support movable between a collapsed position and an extended position, a lock operable to releasably hold the support in the extended position, and an accessory manually movable by a user relative to the support between a stowed position and a use position. The accessory comprises a deactivator operable to deactivate the lock remotely from the user in response to the user manually moving the accessory relative to the support toward the stowed position thereby enabling movement of the support from the extended position to the collapsed position.
BED WITH FRAME ASSEMBLY
A bed that converts into a chair is provided. The bed includes a base frame assembly, an intermediate frame assembly and a patient support deck. The patient support deck includes a head deck section, an intermediate deck section and a foot deck section.
COMFORT POSITIONING PILLOW
A comfort positioning pillow for use with a user's foot is provided. The pillow includes a first side surface; a second side surface; a flat front surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces; a flat back surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, wherein the flat back surface is positioned at an angle relative to the flat front surface; a top surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, wherein the top surface is convex-shaped; and a bottom surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, and disposed between the flat front surface and the flat back surface. One or more methods of using the pillow are also provided.
