MOBILE STANDER WITH ENHANCED ADJUSTABILITY AND STORAGE
A stander device with improvements to facilitate and/or make more convenient the adjustment and/or repositioning of various elements of the stander device for sizing and comfort of a patient/user, as well as making the folding, storage, and transportation thereof more convenient.
BATH TRANSFER CHAIR
A transfer apparatus for receiving the chair seat of a wheelchair and supporting the chair seat in the base of a washing enclosure. The transfer apparatus has a chair support member including a chair support track section that can be positioned in the washing enclosure base, a bridge portion with a bridge track section that is movably mounted to the chair support member. The transfer apparatus includes a lock system usable to secure the bridge portion in an in-use position and engaged with the wheelchair. A first lock inhibits rotational motion of the bridge portion. The first lock includes a retractable locking member that is biased to an extended, locking position. A second lock is usable to prevent longitudinal separation of the bridge portion and the wheelchair. The first and second lock can be automatically engaged when the bridge portion is moved to the in-use position.
Apparatus and system for lifting, moving, turning, and positioning a patient
A patient support device includes a sheet configured to be placed beneath the patient in use and a plurality of straps connected to the sheet and configured for use in moving, lifting, turning, and/or positioning the patient. The straps may include one or more retractable straps that each have a stretchable retraction strap connected thereto and configured for retracting the retractable strap. The straps may also include one or more central support straps connected to the sheet in an area positioned between the legs of the patient. The sheet may also include a head support for supporting the patient's head, which head support may also include one or more straps. The straps may be connected to a hoist, which is then used to lift the patient.
DEVICE FOR ROTATING A PATIENT ON A SURFACE OF A BED
Various other implementations include a device for rotating a patient. The device includes a bottom sheet and a top sheet. The bottom sheet is configured to abut a surface of a bed in use. An intermediate line of the bottom sheet extending from a head edge to a foot edge is disposed between its side edges. An intermediate line of the top sheet extending from the head edge to the foot edge is disposed between its side edges. The intermediate line of the top sheet is coupled to the intermediate line of the bottom sheet to couple the top sheet to the bottom sheet. The top sheet includes at least one first fastener coupled adjacent to its first edge and at least one second fastener coupled adjacent to its second edge. The at least one first fastener is couplable to the at least one second fastener.
Patient upright device
Devices and methods for bringing a person that has fallen to the ground to an upright position comprise frames adapted to receive a person's body after a person has achieved a lying position, inflatable bladders attached to the frames on which the person's body rests when the bladders are in an uninflated state, the bladders being inflatable from a first position to a second position, and fittings attached to the inflatable bladders for receiving hoses to allow the inflatable bladders to be inflated from the first position to the second position.
SUBJECT TRANSFER APPARATUS
Embodiments described herein provide a subject transfer apparatus including a base unit comprising a lifting mechanism, a body unit coupled to the lifting mechanism, a subject support platform coupled to the body unit, and a slide assembly coupling the subject support platform to the base unit such that the subject support platform is slidable between a first position in which the subject support platform positioned over the base unit and a second position in which the subject support platform is cantilevered from the base unit. The subject support platform includes a first extension platform and a second extension platform slidably disposed within the subject support platform. In various embodiments, the first extension platform and the second extension platform are extendable away from the subject support platform opposite one another. Methods of transferring a subject using the subject transfer apparatus are also described.
HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A WHEELCHAIR COMPONENT
A hinge assembly includes a first hinge member including a first outer finger defining a first aperture, the first aperture including a first circumferential tapered surface, a second hinge member including a second outer finger defining a second aperture, the second aperture including a second circumferential tapered surface, and a fastener assembly including a first hub, a second hub, and a fastener, the first hub including a circumferential tapered surface that is complimentary to the first circumferential tapered surface, and the second hub including a circumferential tapered surface that is complimentary to the second circumferential tapered surface, the fastener assembly is configured to connect the first hinge member to the second hinge member.
SURGICAL FRAME AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF FACILITATING PATIENT TRANSFER
A surgical frame and a method for use thereof facilitates transfer of a patient from and to a surgical table/gurney. The surgical table includes a main beam positionable such that a surgical table/gurney with patient laying thereon can be positioned under the main beam. The main beam includes componentry for supporting a patent thereon, and the main beam can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of the main beam to facilitate transfer of a patient from the surgical table/gurney to the main beam and transfer from the main beam to the surgical table/gurney.
HUMAN TRANSPORT DEVICE THAT FACILITATES DECONTAMINATION
A transport device for use throughout a process of decontaminating a person exposed to contaminates is disclosed. The transport device includes a flexible sheet of material sized and shaped to support a person in a lying down position. The flexible sheet includes a base section and opposite side wall sections. The base section supports the person and the opposite side wall are configured to resiliently deflect upward along opposite sides of the person. The transport device includes a securing strap connected to the opposite side wall sections and configured to deflect the opposite side wall sections to secure the person on the flexible sheet. The transport device includes a drain in the base section. The drain permits liquid used in the process of decontamination to pass through and out of the flexible sheet. The drain includes a plurality of drain openings spaced apart from each other and distributed over the base section.
