TWO PIECE SUBJECT SUPPORT APPARATUSES
A subject support apparatus includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion includes a vest having a first end and a second end, a closure mechanism configured to couple the first end of the vest to the second end of the vest from a bottom end of the vest to a top end of the vest to form a closed loop, and a pair of shoulder straps extending from the vest. The lower portion includes a seat piece having a first end and a second end, and a pair of loop straps extending from the first end and the second end of the seat piece. Subject support systems including the subject support apparatus and methods of lifting a subject using the subject support apparatus are also described.
Assisting device
An assisting device provide with: a movable base on which a care receiver rides; a raising and lowering member supported on the base to be movable in an up-down direction; a raising and lowering drive section configured to drive the raising and lowering member up and down; an oscillating member supported on the raising and lowering member to be capable of oscillating; an oscillating drive section configured to drive the oscillating of the oscillating member; a holding member supported on the oscillating member to be freely tiltable, and configured to hold an upper body of the care receiver; a first handle provided on the oscillating member; and a second handle provided on the holding member, and configured to tilt together with the holding member. Accordingly, practicality is improved with regard to safe moving operation of the assisting device and safe free tilting of the holding member.
Motorized wheelchair for improved mobility
A wheelchair assembly that enables an occupant to rotate their self from the seating position to the prone or kneeling prone position so that the occupant may use their arms to better reach and grasp without the aid of another person.
Patient repositioning system
A patient repositioning device includes an upper body support and a lower body support which are generally planar and laterally spaced from one another by a spacing element. A handle can rotate in the plane of the supports, enabling a care giver to rotate a patient form a sitting to a lying position and then to roll the patient onto their back. Another embodiment provides a patient cradle for cradling a patient from a reclining to a sitting position and vice versa.
Double roller compact profile actuation system for an adjustable bed
An articulating bed incorporates a support frame with a head end rail, a foot end rail and having side frame rails. An upper body support frame is rotatably connected to a first cross member in the frame. An elevating assembly for the upper body support frame has two angled arms attached to the first cross member with hinges. A first pair of wheels is attached to the angled arms at a vertex and a second pair of wheels attached at an end of the arms distal from the hinges. A first actuator is attached from the head end rail to a cross brace extending between the angled arms. The elevating assembly has a first range of motion in which the first pair of wheels are in contact with longitudinal rails in the upper body support and a second range of motion in which the second pair of wheels are in contact with the longitudinal rails.
Personal mobility device
A personal mobility device comprising a base plate having a top surface, a rotating platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein a plurality of rollers are coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating platform and configured to support the rotating platform upon the top surface of the base plate, a motor coupled to the base plate and the rotating platform and configured to rotate the rotating platform with respect to the base plate, and a support structure coupled to the rotating platform and extending upward from the top surface of the rotating platform.
Device for supporting the ability of a person with restricted mobility to move
A device (1) that supports the mobility of a person with restricted mobility comprises a trolley (3) and a mast (4) attached to the trolley (3). The mast (4) comprises a backrest (6) and armrests (5) for receiving the person.
ROTATIONAL SUPPORT APPARATUS
Moving an individual with limited mobility from one seated position to another requires a significant effort from the caregiver and can expose the individual and the caregiver to several injuries. The rotational support apparatus is useful in safely assisting individuals with limited mobility to move from one seated position to another with minimal effort. The apparatus is lightweight and portable. The base of the apparatus rotates so the caregiver can easily move the position of the individual. The base can be coupled with a stabilizing device that the individual with limited mobility can hold on to while the caregiver rotates them to another position.
Collapsible personal lift
A collapsible, portable personal lift assists a user in translating from a fully upright position to a position sitting on a floor. The personal lift is easily collapsed into a compact storage configuration and includes wheels and a handle for easy transport of the lift to any location. The personal lift utilizes an air pump to fill two separate airbags. An elevating airbag raises the chair of the personal lift from the floor to a raised position. A second tilting airbag is used to tilt the chair forward to assist the user in standing up. The airbags may be deflated to assist the user and going from an upright standing position to a seated position on the floor. The personal lift utilizes scissor joints positions around the elevating airbag to stabilize the device as the airbags are inflated and deflated.
MOBILE STANDER WITH ENHANCED ADJUSTABILITY AND STORAGE
A stander device with improvements to facilitate and/or make more convenient the adjustment and/or repositioning of various elements of the stander device for sizing and comfort of a patient/user, as well as making the folding, storage, and transportation thereof more convenient.
