Apparatus for Gait Training
An apparatus (100) for gait training has a movable base (200) comprising at least one drive unit (210) for moving the movable base, an arm arrangement (300) extending from the movable base, a weight support system (400) to enable a person to be at least partially suspended from above via said arm arrangement, a movement detector to detect a movement of the person and a control unit adapted to control said drive unit(s) in response to a movement of the person detected by the movement detector such that the movable base follows the person in a predetermined distance range and in a predetermined angular range with respect to a movement direction of the person.
System and method for patient turning and repositioning
The present disclosure relates to a patient support which can be used in a bed or flat surface and in particular to a system and method for support and offloading of the body and for turning and repositioning of a patient in a bed or on a flat surface. Features of the disclosure also relate to markings and other indicators used on the patient support which help guide caregivers in the proper use and correct patient positioning on the patient support.
PATIENT POSITIONING DEVICE
A patient positioning device includes a planar sheet having removably connected padded substrates attached proximal to the patient's arms. The padded substrates are wrapped around the patient's respective arms to protect and elevate the arms from the underlying table or gurney. Leggings are also provided to protect the patient's legs. The padded substrates include splits to allow wires and cables to pass through without getting tangled. A secondary sheet is attachable to the device to cocoon the patient when the patient is rolled over. A shoulder strap is provided under the patients shoulders, wrapping around and over the shoulders at the trapezius and at the shoulder cuff and is secured to the padded substrates for additional protection and security. The device has a low friction bottom surface to ease transfer and positioning.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE RAISING OF A LYING PERSON
Equipment for raising of a lying person. The equipment comprises: a seat (1), a backrest (2), which from a first position can be passed to a second position behind the back of the person, and a chassis (3) with an upper end to which the seat is connected and a lowermost end adapted to rest on a surface such as a floor. The equipment is to be placed on the surface positioned to the person such that the seat is placed under the behind of the person and from this first position the equipment with the person can be passed to a second position in which the chassis with its lower end rests on the surface such that the seat and backrest is raised relative to the surface e.g. to take a chair-like posture or a catapult position i.e. an upright position in which the person will be assisted to a standing position.

PERSONAL SUPPORT SLING, A MATTRESS SYSTEM INCLUDING SUCH SUPPORT SLING, OPTIONALLY WITH A WASTE ELIMINATION SYSTEM
A patient-support sling is at least partially disposable in a recessed area of the mattress, the sling being tiltably supported by a frame and carrying a waste receptacle. The sling has an aperture and at least one opening, the opening being larger in area than a bedsore. The sling is configured to enable selective relocation of the opening, thereby enabling an accommodation of bed sores for reducing incidence and severity thereof. The receptacle is removably attachable to the pelvic support member and disposable in part below the aperture for receiving eliminated waste of the user.
Mattress with a rotating and waste elimination system
A mattress with a rotating and waste elimination system comprises a mattress with a recessed area for receiving a rotation and waste elimination system. The rotation and waste elimination system comprises a (i) frame with a rectangular base and two side walls, forming a U shape; (ii) platform (with a central cut out for a waste elimination bag) suspended over the base by two pairs of sliding posts; (iii) optional four chains attached to the platform and side walls; and (iv) programmable electronic gear to operate the sliding posts to simultaneously raise one end and lower the opposite end of the platform to gently turn the patient. Alternately, the gear operates a cable/pulley system (involving two independent systems positioned outside the frame) by attaching one cable end to the midpoint of the platform's shorter side and the other cable end to the gear to rotate and counter-rotate the platform.
Apparatus and method for positioning a patient
A patient positioning system includes an inflatable patient support device having a width, and a positioning apparatus. The positioning apparatus including a wedge-shaped body, the wedge-shaped body configured to be placed under the inflatable patient support device to support a patient in a desired position, and a tail comprising an elongated piece of material extending from a front end of the wedge-shaped body, wherein a length of the tail is greater than the width of the inflatable patient support device.
AIR-POWERED WEDGE AND TRANSFER SHEET
A patient transfer and positioning device includes a transfer sheet sized for receiving a supine patient, the sheet including at least one lateral inflatable chamber disposed at one lateral side of the transfer sheet. The lateral inflatable chamber is substantially flat in an uninflated configuration and is in a wedge configuration when inflated, the wedge configuration adapted to tilt the patient on the transfer sheet.
INTEGRATED PATIENT LIFT AND TRANSFER SYSTEM
An integrated patient lift and transfer system comprising a bed plate, a mover base, and a lift. The bed plate is placeable on a bed and including a seat rest and a back rest pivotably attached to the seat rest. The bed plate is configurable to a planar configuration where the back rest and seat rest are co-planar and to a seated configuration where the back rest and seat rest are not co-planar. The mover base including one or more wheels and configured to removably attach to the bed plate. The lift including one or more transfer arms and one or more tilt arms. The one or more transfer arms and one or more tilt arms configured to removably attach to the bed plate and tilt the bed plate from the planar configuration to the seated configuration and to transfer the bed plate from the bed to the mover base.
