MOTORIZED BATH SEAT
An illustrated view of an exemplary motorized bath seat apparatus for assisting bathers getting in and out of a bathtub is presented. The motorized bath seat apparatus is useful for assisting an individual into safely and conveniently lower the individual or bather into the bathtub without human assistance. The motorized bath seat apparatus further allows a disabled, post-surgical patient, elderly, etc. more easily bathe without assistance of a caregiver therefore giving the bather privacy and self-value. The apparatus has two rails coupled to motor. The motor powers a bracket that is coupled to the rail and is hingedly attached such that the seat can be moved to allow a person to move a seat apparatus over the bath tube then utilize an actuator to lower and raise the seat assembly. The seat assembly is coupled to a bracket. The seat assembly has a seat coupled to a bottom of a first right arm rest and to a bottom of a second arm rest. The bracket is coupled to a seat back that is coupled to the right arm rest and coupled to the left arm rest.
Lift for extremity surgical positioning device
The present inventive subject matter describes a device and system for positioning, adjusting, and stretching a patient's extremity for surgical procedures where alignment is critical and minute adjustments may be required repeatedly. The device helps in maintaining the patient's extremity stationary, once the physician has selected the precise position for the elected procedure. The device uses using a combination of an articulating and a rotating frame, support plates and support rings that are attached to the extremity surgical positioning system. The system acts as a limb splint that is firmly attached to the surgical table. The support plates are attached to the patient via a series of adjustable straps preventing the extremity from moving independently of the support plate. A locking rack and gear configuration has adjustable locking pivot points that are positioned along and within the outer/inner proximal tube and outer/inner distal tube that lengthens or rotates various portions of the extremity.
Track-guided mobility seat
The track-guided mobility seat is a mobility assistance device. The track-guided mobility seat is configured for use with a patient. The track-guided mobility seat comprises a seat, a guide system, and a rail. The guide system attaches the seat to the rail. The rail forms a track that controls the motion of the seat along the rail. The guide system moves the seat along the rail. The seat further comprises a reach extender that allows a patient to grasp an object that would otherwise be out of reach of the patient.
Self or assist-operated human floor lift
A self or assist-operated lift apparatus is disclosed. In various embodiments, the lift apparatus includes a vertical rail; a linear bearing positioned to be moved along the vertical rail; a drive mechanism coupled to the linear bearing and configured to move the linear bearing at a controlled rate along the vertical bearing between a first position at a lower end of a range of motion and a second position at an upper end of the range of motion; and a seat attached to the linear bearing, the seat being constructed at least in part of a substantially rigid material and having a size and shape suitable to accommodate a seated human occupant.
HOSPITAL BED LIFT ASSEMBLY
A hospital bed lift assembly for transferring a user into and out of a bed includes a cart that is rollable along a support surface and is positionable adjacent to a bed for sleeping. A control circuit is coupled to the cart, a lift is coupled to the cart and the lift is electrically coupled to the control circuit. A chair is pivotally coupled to the lift for lifting a user when the user sits in the chair. In this way the user can drop downwardly onto the bed when the user is transferred into the bed. A pair of members is each pivotally coupled to the cart. Each of the members extends forwardly from the cart to inhibit the user from tipping the cart forwardly when the user is lifted in the chair.
Bathing seat structure for use in a bathtub
The present invention provides a bathing seat structure for use in a bathtub, wherein the legs frame enables fixed positioning of the base, and the base enables fixed positioning of the seat cushion. The base is provided with two freeing mechanisms, a lever, and a rolling device. After pulling open the lever, the rolling device enables the seat cushion to rotate. The two freeing mechanisms must be pressed to a predetermined depth and must be pressed simultaneously, only then can the seat cushion be shifted laterally, thus preventing inadvertent contact and causing displacement of the seat cushion. The rolling device uses a two-tier centrifugal configuration, thereby supporting equal distribution of a person's weight to achieve smooth rotation with no inclining of the seat cushion, and thus extending the serviceable life of the rolling device.
Person hoisting device and a method for producing motive power of a person hoisting device
The person hoisting device has a frame (10), a person support which can be moved in relation to the frame, and moving means for moving the person support from a first location in relation to the frame to a second location in relation to the frame along a movement path. The second location is at a distance from the first location. The position of the person support in relation to the frame can be changed, and the moving means are arranged to move the person support in the direction of the movement path when changing the position of the person support in relation to the frame. The person support can comprise a seat (14) and an armrest (16). The moving means can comprise a hydraulic cylinder (22), a hydraulic pump (24) for pumping hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder, and a lever mechanism between the person support and the hydraulic pump for using the hydraulic pump. In the method, motive power is produced for a person hoisting device, which has a frame, a person support which can be moved in relation to the frame, and moving means for moving the person support from a first location in relation to the frame to a second location in relation to the frame along a movement path, which second location is at a distance from the first location. The motive power of the moving means is produced by changing the position of the person support in relation to the frame.
Bathing apparatus
A seat lift for a bath that includes a seat, a seat back hingedly connected to the seat, a torsion spring, and a guide means for guiding the seat in reversible movement between lower and upper positions. The guide means is configured so that movement between the lower and upper positions comprises both vertical and lateral movement of the seat relative to a base of the bath. The seat back may move between a first seat back position in which the seat back is substantially upright and a second seat back position in which the seat back is orientated so that a user is leaning backwards. The torsion spring biases the seat back to rotate around the hinge connecting the seat back to the seat toward the first seat back position. The torsion spring torque is smaller when the seat is in the lower position than in the upper position.
Device for supporting the ability of a person with restricted mobility to move
A device (1) that supports the mobility of a person with restricted mobility comprises a trolley (3) and a mast (4) attached to the trolley (3). The mast (4) comprises a backrest (6) and armrests (5) for receiving the person.
Patient positioning device
A patient positioning device includes a planar sheet having removably connected padded substrates attached proximal to the patient's arms. The padded substrates are wrapped around the patient's respective arms to protect and elevate the arms from the underlying table or gurney. Leggings are also provided to protect the patient's legs. The padded substrates include splits to allow wires and cables to pass through without getting tangled. A secondary sheet is attachable to the device to cocoon the patient when the patient is rolled over. A shoulder strap is provided under the patients shoulders, wrapping around and over the shoulders at the trapezius and at the shoulder cuff and is secured to the padded substrates for additional protection and security. The device has a low friction bottom surface to ease transfer and positioning.
