Patient stand assist and therapy devices and methods
A lift system comprises a lift assembly and a control system. The lift assembly is configured to assist a person in moving between a first position and a second position. The control system is configured to change the amount of assistance provided by the lift assembly as a function of a change in a characteristic of the person.
Transfer assistance device
The transfer assistance device includes a bogie, an arm tiltably supported by the bogie, a holding part that is supported by the arm and holds a torso of a person being assisted. The holding part includes at least a low pressure cell group and a high pressure cell group configured to respectively face different parts of a front surface of the torso of the person being assisted. The transfer assistance device further includes air pressure adjuster configured to individually adjust air pressure of the low pressure cell group and air pressure of the high pressure cell group.
CARRYING MODULE AND AUXILIARY TOOL USING SAME
Disclosed in the present invention is a carrying module detachably provided on a host module. The carrying module comprises two mounting bases, two guardrails, two bearing plates, and a backrest assembly. The two guardrails are respectively connected and locked to the mounting bases by means of a first coupling device. The two bearing plates are respectively rotatably mounted at the bottoms of the two guardrails by a second coupling device. When being lifted upwards, the bearing plates are close to the guardrails, and when being horizontally placed, the bearing plates can be used for bearing weight. The backrest assembly is detachably connected and locked to the two guardrails by means of a third coupling device. The host module comprises a host body and a displacement module, which can be combined with a plurality of nursing modules to forma nursing machine, and can also be added with a push module to form a displacement machine. With the aid of the nursing machine, the displacement machine, and other auxiliary tool systems using the carrying module, the disabled person and the like can perform rehabilitation such as movement, and sitting and station conversion.
Systems for patient transfer, devices for movement of a patient, and methods for transferring a patient
A patient transfer sled has a support structure including at least one air cushion adjacent a major surface thereof. The air cushion includes a flexible material at least partially surrounding a rigid material, and a portion of the flexible material has a plurality of holes extending therethrough. Systems for patient transfer may include a support surface, such as a table, a patient transfer sled having at least one air cushion, and a source of pressurized air. Methods for moving a patient relative to a support surface include positioning a patient on a patient transfer sled having at least one air cushion, and inflating the air cushion with air to form a sheet of flowing air between the patient transfer sled and the support surface. The methods may be used, for example, to move a patient on an air film over a surface within a system.
Mobile split-seat assembly
A mobile split-seat assembly having a support frame including a base, a first vertical support extending upwardly from the base and a second vertical support extending upwardly from the base. A first pivoting arm assembly includes a first seat portion and is supported by the first vertical support so that the first seat portion is pivotable in a horizontal plane relative to the support frame. A second pivoting arm assembly includes a second seat portion and is supported by the second vertical support so that the second seat portion is pivotable in a horizontal plane relative to the support frame.
Person support apparatus having exercise therapy features
A person support apparatus includes a support surface having a patient facing surface and includes a head section, a seat section, and a foot section, the head section and the foot section being rotatable with respect to the seat section. One or more actuators are provided to rotate the head section and the foot section with respect to the seat section. At least one strain gauge is provided proximate the patient facing surface of the support surface to detect a change in pressure against at least one of the head section and the foot section. A controller is configured to transmit a signal to one or more of the actuators to rotate a corresponding one of the head section or the foot section in response to receiving data from the at least one strain gauge indicating a change in pressure that exceeds a predetermined reduction in pressure.
PERSON SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING EXERCISE THERAPY FEATURES

One or more actuators are provided to rotate the head section and the foot section with respect to the seat section. At least one strain gauge is provided proximate the patient facing surface of the support surface to detect a change in pressure against at least one of the head section and the foot section. A controller is configured to transmit a signal to one or more of the actuators to rotate a corresponding one of the head section or the foot section in response to receiving data from the at least one strain gauge indicating a change in pressure that exceeds a predetermined reduction in pressure.
Companion robot transfer assistant
A companion robot transfer assistant for usage alongside an automatic transfer bed and a compatible wheelchair or commode chair includes: means for securing, supporting or grasping the upper body or arms of a patient, means for moving towards or away from a person, and means for sliding or moving laterally from side-to-side; wherein during transfer, the companion robot transfer assistant moves in front of the patient, secures the patient and assists or allows the patient to lean forward resting a portion of their upper body weight on it.
Device for rotating a patient on a surface of a bed
Various other implementations include a device for rotating a patient. The device includes a bottom sheet and a top sheet. The bottom sheet is configured to abut a surface of a bed in use. An intermediate line of the bottom sheet extending from a head edge to a foot edge is disposed between its side edges. An intermediate line of the top sheet extending from the head edge to the foot edge is disposed between its side edges. The intermediate line of the top sheet is coupled to the intermediate line of the bottom sheet to couple the top sheet to the bottom sheet. The top sheet includes at least one first fastener coupled adjacent to its first edge and at least one second fastener coupled adjacent to its second edge.
