MEDICAL CHAIR
20170252242 · 2017-09-07 ·

A medical chair having a plurality of adjustable positions includes a seat, a platform configured to support the seat, and a pillar. The pillar includes nested supports, in which a first one of the supports is fixedly coupled to the platform and a second one of the supports is operatively coupled to the seat, wherein the nested supports extend telescopically as the seat is positioned with respect to the platform. A linked cable carrier is located within a housing, wherein the housing extends from the base toward the seat and is disposed adjacently to the pillar. A leg rest and a back are each pivotably coupled to seat. A seat position actuator is centrally located on the seat and a leg rest actuator and a back actuator are located on opposite sides of the seat position actuator.

ROBOTIC MEDICAL SYSTEM WITH COLLISION PROXIMITY INDICATORS

Robotic systems can be capable of collision detection and avoidance. A robotic medical system can include a robotic arm, an input device configured to receive one or more user inputs for controlling the robotic arm, and a display configured to provide information related to the robotic medical system. The display can include a first icon that is representative of the robotic arm and includes at least a first state and a second state. The robotic medical system can be configured to control movement of the robotic arm based on the user inputs received at the input device in real time, determine a distance between the robotic arm and a component, and provide information to the user about potential, near, and/or actual collisions between the arm and the component.

DUAL-PURPOSE TREATMENT TABLE
20210401652 · 2021-12-30 ·

The present invention relates to treatment tables, and more specifically to a treatment table that is adaptable for the dual purposes of conducting therapy or physical examinations, including pelvic examinations and treatment. The treatment table comprises at least a first section and a second section wherein the first section and the second section are both independently adjustable to tilt towards each other. The treatment table may also comprise a removable leg rest on each side of the table that is independently postionable along the length of the treatment table. The treatment table may also comprise a head rest comprised of a first head rest section and a second head rest section which extends the head rest farther from the treatment table, wherein the first head rest section is removable and the second head rest section is on a spring loaded hinge bendable into a downward angle from the original position.

CONTROL SCHEME CALIBRATION FOR MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS

Methods, systems, and devices for calibrating a medical instrument are discussed herein. For example, a first instrument can be configured to access an anatomical site via a first access path and a second instrument can be configured to access the anatomical site via a second access path. The second instrument can include an imaging component configured to provide image data representative of the anatomical site and the first instrument. A difference can be identified between a first coordinate frame associated with the first instrument and a second coordinate frame associated with the second instrument. A control frame of reference associated with the first instrument can be updated based at least in part on the difference.

Pneumatic Control of Surgical Table

A one or more radiolucent pneumatic bags that are inflated and deflated to move a surgical table top portion to place a patient in a desired orientation.

FIXATION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TOTAL ANKLE REPLACEMENT

A device comprises a base. A support is attached to the base. The support is shaped to receive a calf of a person and adapted to receive a wire or pin for securing a tibia of a person. A foot plate is attachable to the base. The foot plate has a plurality of attached members. The members are configured for receiving at least a first wire or pin to fix a foot of the person relative to the foot plate while the foot plate is oriented normal to a superior-inferior direction of the foot. The foot plate is rotatable relative to the base while the foot plate is attached to the base.

KNEE POSITIONING SYSTEM WITH CLEANOUT CHANNEL
20210369528 · 2021-12-02 · ·

A rail assembly for a knee positioning system that includes a base and a pair of rails removably coupled to the base. Each of the rails defines a plurality of positioning slots formed therein, each of the positioning slots being at least partially aligned with a corresponding positioning slot of the other rail. At least one of the rails and the base form at least one cleanout channel therebetween that is configured to receive a cleaning fluid for removing contaminants that collect on the at least one rail and the base.

ARMBOARD ASSEMBLIES FOR SUPPORTING AND POSITIONING A LIMB RELATIVE TO A MOUNTING STRUCTURE

An armboard assembly includes an armboard deck including a cavity formed in a lower surface of the armboard deck, an armboard mount including a plurality of radially extending teeth positioned within a mount portion of the cavity, and an engagement assembly movable relative to the armboard deck between an engaged position to engage the plurality of teeth of the armboard mount and a disengaged position to disengage the plurality of teeth of the armboard mount. The engagement assembly includes a handle including one or more legs extending from an upper surface of the handle, which engage an insertion hole formed in the armboard deck and a channel extending from the insertion hole toward the armboard mount, and an indexing member positioned within the cavity of the armboard deck and coupled to the handle. The indexing member limits movement of the engagement assembly by maintaining the legs within the channel.

TRACKING DEVICE FOR HAND TRACKING IN SURGICAL ENVIRONMENT
20220183770 · 2022-06-16 ·

A system for tracking a hand within a surgical environment is disclosed. The system comprises a hand covering including an opening to receive the hand and a plurality of trackable regions that each include at least one tracking feature. The system further comprises a tracking unit including one or more sensors configured to detect a location of each tracking feature. The system further comprises a processor configured to cause the system to receive the location of each tracking feature from the tracking unit, determine a position and an orientation of each trackable region of the hand covering, and calculate an overall position, orientation, and/or pose of the hand. Various actions or settings may be controlled within the surgical workspace by utilizing particular gestures or movements that are identified by the system via the processor.
