SINGLE AND DUAL COLUMN PATIENT POSITIONING SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A surgical table for supporting a patient over a floor and including a base assembly, a support column assembly and a patient support structure. The base assembly supported on the floor and including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a member extending along a base longitudinal axis between the first and second ends. The support column assembly moveably coupled with the base assembly and configured to translate between the first and second ends of the base assembly along the member extending therebetween, the support column assembly being the only support column assembly coupled with the base assembly. The patient support structure including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the first and second ends, the second end of the patient support structure supported off of the support column assembly in a cantilevered fashion.
Surgery patient support device
A surgery patient support device supports a surgery patient's head, neck, arms and torso while in a supine position, specifically the left or right lateral decubitus position. The device includes a support. The support has a main section and is constructed of a compressible foam. An elongated arm void extends into a first side of the main section of the support such that the void is configured to receive an upper arm of a patient therein while a head, a neck, and at least part of a torso of the patient is positioned on the support.
CLINIC TABLE
A tempering table is disclosed. The tempering table includes a base structure and a top surface located atop the base structure. The top surface comprises a body portion and a plurality of receiving holes. At least a first receiving hole of the plurality of receiving holes is located on a first side of the body portion, and at least a second receiving hole of the plurality of receiving holes is located on a second side of the body portion opposite the first side of the body portion. The first receiving hole and the second receiving hole are at least approximately symmetrical across a center line of the body portion between the first side of the body portion and the second side of the body portion.
SYSTEM FOR PRONE POSITIONING OF SURGICAL PATIENTS
A patient support system for supporting a patient during surgery comprising support frame, a plurality of patient supports, a moveable carriage mounted to the support frame, the moveable carriage being movable along a first direction and a second direction relative to the support frame, the moveable carriage comprising mount blocks on which the patient supports are mounted, and an actuation mechanism that causes movement of the moveable carriage in the first and second directions, the patient supports being removably attached at one end to the support frame and attached at another end to the movable carriage, wherein the mount blocks are rotatable independent of any movement of the movable carriage in the first and second directions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEAD UP CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.
Adapter plane for surgical table and surgical table
An adapter plane for a surgical table comprising a central body having a proximal portion suitable to at least partially accommodate the lumbar region of the body of a patient and a distal portion suitable to at least partially accommodate the sacral region of the body of a patient, wherein the adapter plane can be coupled to a surgical table by placing the central body at least partially on top of the surgical table, and the central body, in the distal portion, is provided with a quick coupling device for coupling the adapter plane to one or more surgical instruments.
Comfort therapy
The present invention is a therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities contains a platform, a cavity, and an adjustment element. The cavity traverses into the platform. The adjustment element is positioned within the cavity. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities may take the form of a therapy device to replace surgical table padding, chiropractic dorsal pads, or other various therapeutic treatment table paddings to accommodate humans with breasts or additional curvature in the breast area. The therapeutic pad with breast receiving cavities constitutes specialized padding with breast recess areas to provide maximum comfort by allowing patients to control the pressure in the breast area when receiving therapeutic care or medical procedures.
SUPPORTING ARRANGEMENT FOR A PATIENT IN A PRONE POSITION
A supporting system is provided for a patient in a prone position, especially for patients that are intubated and/or mechanically ventilated. The supporting arrangement ensures proper posture of the patient so as to prevent damages caused by prolonged lying in the prone position. The arrangement includes a kit of separate modules (10 - 40, 50sx, 50dx - 90sx, 90dx) for containing, pushing, supporting, and unloading distinct body segments of the patient’s body. The modules are freely positionable and orientable with respect to one another on an external supporting surface, such as a mattress. The supporting arrangement provides for a sub-arrangement intended for supporting the patient’s head and comprises modules for the head (10 -40) which make it possible to effectively support the user’s head in a neutral position as well as in a position turned to the side.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL STAPLING
Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for articulating medical instruments. In one aspect, the instrument includes a wrist having at least two degrees of freedom of movement, and an end effector coupled to the wrist. The end effector can include an upper jaw, a lower jaw, and a firing mechanism configured to form staples in tissue. Actuation of the firing mechanism can be decoupled from the movement of the wrist in the at least two degrees of freedom.
Surgical guidance system with low interference metal support structure
In accordance with the invention, a reliable apparatus for guiding an ablation probe to a target location inside a human body is thus provided. The apparatus allows incorporation of a conventional metal operating room table, but further comprises a substantially non-conductive separation structure positioned over the metal operating room table and underneath a horizontally oriented electromagnetic field generator. The resultant structure is adapted to support a human body in the prone or supine position over the operating table. Further support padding may also be provided. The electromagnetic field generator creates an electromagnetic field that extends through the torso of said human body positioned over the electromagnetic field generator. An ultrasound probe and ablation probe interacts with the electromagnetic field to generate positional information that is processed by a computing device to generate a graphic representation of location information on a display device.
