DISTRACTION FRAME FOR EFFECTING HIP DISTRACTION

A distraction frame for use with a surgical table, wherein the surgical table comprises a base for positioning on a floor, the distraction frame comprising: a table mount for fixation to the base of the surgical table; at least one horizontal strut mounted to the table mount; at least one vertical strut mounted to the at least one horizontal strut; and at least one distraction mechanism mounted to the at least one vertical strut, wherein the at least one distraction mechanism is configured for connection to a limb of a patient and for applying a distraction force to the limb of the patient; wherein the table mount is configured to transfer to the floor a force moment imposed on the table mount when the at least one distraction mechanism applies a distraction force to a limb of a patient.

HOSPITAL BED WITH ADJUSTABLE WIDTH

A hospital bed comprising: a frame; a plurality of extendable patient support panels mounted to the frame, each patient support panel including a central section and at least one side section selectively movable laterally towards and away from the central section; a movement transmission assembly including at least one transmission member connecting at least two of the movable side sections for laterally moving at least one of the movable side sections when another one of the movable side sections is moved.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CREATING A SIMULATED FOOT POSITION

A system for creating a simulated foot position, with or without weightbearing, includes a base configured to support a foot thereon and a footpad securable with the base in an upright position. The footpad in the upright position receives the foot thereagainst such that the footpad maintains the foot in a simulated foot position. The footpad pivotally secures with the base such that the footpad moves between the upright position and a stowed position. The footpad further pivotally secures with the base such that the upright position of the footpad includes multiple upright positions having different angles that provide the footpad with multiple simulated foot positions.

Shoulder hold down and locking mechanism therefor for use with a surgical frame

A shoulder hold-down is provided for use in securing at least a shoulder of a patient in position relative to a surgical frame. The shoulder hold-down includes a locking mechanism that is adjustable to afford positioning of a shoulder engaging portion for contacting the patient.

Reconfigurable Patient Support Device and Patient Support System

A patient support device includes an alternate support top, a head support unit partially supporting the alternate support top, a foot support unit longitudinally spaced from the head support unit and an adaptor associated with the foot support unit. The adaptor is securable to the foot support unit so that the adaptor and foot support unit cooperate to partially support the alternate support top so that the alternate support top extends footwardly beyond the foot support unit. The roles of the head and foot suppport units may be reversed. A related patient support system includes a baseline set of support tops and a set of alternate support tops.

SURGICAL POSITIONING DEVICE COVER AND PATIENT RESTRAINT

A surgical positioning device cover, kit, and method are provided and are configured for use with a vacuum formable surgical positioning device. The cover includes a main body portion a main opening for receiving the surgical positioning device and at least one pneumatic opening configured to provide access to a valve assembly of the surgical positioning device. The surgical positioning device cover also includes a plurality of straps secured to the main body portion and configured to secure the cover, the surgical positioning device, and a patient to a surgical table.

SUPPORT DEVICES FOR HEAD UP CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION

An elevation device used in the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes a base and an upper support pivotably coupled to the base. The upper support is configured to elevate the individual's upper back, shoulders and head when pivoted. The upper support is expandable lengthwise. The upper support includes a neck support that is configured to support the individual's spine in a region of the individual's C7 and C8 vertebrae throughout elevation of the upper back, shoulders and head.

Circular fixator system and method

A device comprises a base. A support is attached to the base. The support is shaped to receive a calf of a person and adapted to receive a wire or pin for securing a tibia of a person. A foot plate is attachable to the base. The foot plate has a plurality of attached members. The members are configured for receiving at least a first wire or pin to fix a foot of the person relative to the foot plate while the foot plate is oriented normal to a superior-inferior direction of the foot. The foot plate is rotatable relative to the base while the foot plate is attached to the base.

LINKAGE MECHANISMS FOR MOUNTING ROBOTIC ARMS TO A SURGICAL TABLE

In some embodiments, an apparatus can include a surgical table and an adapter coupled thereto. The adapter includes an interface structure, a first link member coupled to a second link member, and a third link member coupled to a fourth link member. The first link member and the third link member are each pivotally coupled to the interface mechanism at a shared first pivot joint. The second link member and the fourth link member are each coupleable to a robotic arm. The first link member and the second link member collectively provide for movement of the first robotic arm in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal or vertical direction relative to the table top. The third link member and the fourth link member collectively provide for movement of the second robotic arm in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal or vertical direction relative to the table top.

Upper Extremity Positioner
20180055708 · 2018-03-01 ·

An apparatus and technique for supporting and securing a human upper extremity suitable for diagnostic and surgical procedures with the apparatus comprising a base plate coupled to moveable proximal and distal platforms. The distal platform supports the hand and wrist while pivoting about a ball and socket (universal) joint. The proximal platform is attached to a moveable support that variably elevates the upper extremity between the shoulder and the wrist (ie the distal platform) whilst travelling longitudinally along the base plate. These upper platforms attach to a common lower platform (ie the base plate) and function independently yet complimentarily to variably elevate and position the entire upper extremity above the base plate thereby achieving reproducible medical (or user) access to any discrete site from the shoulder to the digits. The proximal and distal platforms may also function as a bridge for a third upper platform converting an apparatus with two relatively short supportive surfaces to an apparatus having one relatively long supportive surface.
