Foot stretcher
A foot stretcher assembly for stretching a foot includes a foot stretcher and a handle removably secured with the foot stretcher. The foot stretcher includes a sole that is flexible in response to receiving a foot. The foot stretcher assembly can also include a securing feature to maintain the foot relative to the foot stretcher.
Range of Motion Device
The present invention provides an orthosis for stretching tissue around a joint of a patient between first and second relatively pivotable body portions. The orthosis includes a first member affixable to the first body portion and including a first extension member extending therefrom. A second member affixable to the second body portion is also included and has a second extension member having an arcuate shape extending therefrom. The second extension member is operatively connected to the first extension member and travels through the first extension member along an arcuate path when the second arm member is moved from a first position to a second position relative to the first arm member.
Therapeutic Device For Post-Operative Knee
The present teachings provide for an exercise device for exercising a joint and a limb. The device includes an actuator, a foot plate, a foot plate load cell, and a restrictor. The actuation member is rotatable about a rotation axis. The actuation member includes a first portion and a second portion that is movable in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis. The foot plate is at a distal end of the second portion of the actuation member. The foot plate load cell is mounted to the foot plate and is configured to measure force exerted on the foot plate. The restrictor is configured to restrict movement of the second portion of the actuation member and the foot plate at the distal end thereof in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis unless force exerted on the foot plate exceeds a predetermined force.
Walking assistance device
A walking assistance device includes a belt-shaped lumbar region fixture, a first elastic string-like member, and a second elastic string-like member, wherein each of the first elastic string-like member and the second elastic string-like member is configured to be bifurcated near a knee of a leg, and the bifurcated parts of the first elastic string-like member and the second elastic string-like member are configured to be directly bound to each other at positions of an outer knee joint fissure gap and an inner knee joint fissure gap.
Orthopedic Device Providing Metered Toe Traction with Variable Adduction, Dorsiflexion and Rotation Angles Including Lateral Glide of the First Metatarsal Head
An apparatus applies traction to a digit of a patient's foot at a desired adduction angle and a desired dorsiflexion angle, for use in treating a bunion. The apparatus includes: a shoe portion (e.g., a sole, and strap(s)); a digit attachment apparatus (e.g., a Chinese finger trap) having a cable extending therefrom; and an apparatus (e.g., a ratchet, an actuator, and the like) configured to apply tension to the cable with respect to the sole. A support bracket is configured to pivot with respect to the shoe portion to adjust the adduction angle of the cable with respect to an axial direction of the sole, and is further configured to extend upwardly to at an elevated position with respect to the sole. An adjustment member is mounted to slide relative to the support bracket, to adjust the dorsiflexion angle provided by the cable independent of the adduction angle.
ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE
Disclosed is a device that positions the foot with respect to one or more surfaces to manipulate the foot and, optionally, the ankle and lower leg for stretching and strengthening of the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. The device includes a base configured to provide support for the device against a surface. The device also includes one or more of a first portion having a first surface shaped to compliment a heel of the at least one foot, with the heel against the first surface; a second portion having a second surface shaped to position a forefoot of the at least one foot in plantar flexion with the forefoot against the second surface; and one or more of a third portion having a third surface shaped to position one or more toes of the at least one foot in extension with the one or more toes against the third surface.
TURF TOE REHABILITATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING A TURF TOE REHABILITATION DEVICE
Turf Toe is an injury that affects the mobility of an individual's big toe, most commonly affecting the metatarsophalangeal joint (MPJ). An assistive rehabilitation device facilitates several phases of rehabilitation treatment for the injury, namely an active phase and passive phase. These exercises are needed for the patient after a few weeks of recovery. The device provides the assistive as well as resistive forces needed for the process of rehabilitation helping the patient to recover faster and carry out exercises in a structured and right way.
