INFLATABLE SPA
An inflatable spa is disclosed having improved strength. A water cavity of the inflatable spa may receive massaging air bubbles and/or jetted water.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING WATER QUALITY IN A BATHING UNIT SYSTEM
A water quality monitoring system is provided for a bathing unit system including a pump and a controller for controlling operations of the pump. The water quality monitoring system comprises: (i) a monitoring device to be positioned in-line within a circulation system of the bathing unit for obtaining water quality measurements; and (ii) a communication module configured to establish a communication channel with a remote server over a computer network for performing an analysis of water quality. The communication module is programmed for: (a) selectively transmitting the water quality measurements obtained by the monitoring device such that at least some measurements obtained when the pump is deactivated are omitted from transmissions made to the remote server; and/or (b) transmitting the water quality measurements to the remote server concurrently with tags conveying the activation status for the pump when the water quality measurements were obtained.
WATER MASSAGE APPARATUS
A water massage apparatus for use with a tub that contains a liquid includes a motor having a shaft, a housing having an interior, an impeller positioned in the interior of the housing, and a cap having at least a portion received within the housing. The shaft has a magnet affixed thereto. The motor is adapted to be affixed to an exterior of the tub such that the magnet faces the surface of the tub. The impeller has a magnetic surface which is attracted to the magnet of the motor. The impeller is rotatable within the housing in correspondence to a rotation of the shaft of the motor. The cap has at least one jet outlet formed thereon or affixed thereto. The impeller is adapted to pass the liquid outwardly of the jet. The cap is driven in rotation by motion of the liquid within the interior of the housing.
HOT AND COLD IMMERSION TUB AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM THEREFOR
A contrast therapy cold plunge tub is supplied by hot and cold tempered water reservoirs, and a series of pumps and valves that allow multiple temperature change cycles that rapidly vary the water temperature within the tub between ambient, hot and cold temperatures. One example operates in a continuous immersion mode, where the water temperature is rapidly changed while the tub remains full. A further example operates in a drain and fill mode, where the tub including water at a first temperature is rapidly drained and then refilled with water at a second, different temperature. The present technology further includes a session control software application allowing users to control their user experience.
Therapeutic Spa Bath for Providing Hydrotherapy Treatments
A spinal traction/decompression therapy treatment can be performed using a therapeutic spa bath. The therapeutic spa bath can comprise a bathtub body having a central reservoir which can be filled with water. The bathtub body can include a floor, a backrest, a headrest, an upstanding sidewall, and a pair of leg cover shelves extending over the floor. A plurality of water jet nozzles can be mounted to the backrest, the headrest, the floor, and the leg cover shelves and a water pump can be operably coupled to the water jet nozzles by one or more conduits. In operation, the water pump provides pressurized water to the water jet nozzles for generating massaging water jets within the reservoir which provide the spa bath user with a hydromassage and gently pull the spa bath user's torso and head in opposite directions for providing a gentle spinal traction/decompression therapy treatment.
