CLAMPING DEVICE FOR A LONGITUDINALLY ADJUSTABLE POLE
A clamping device (1) for a walking pole for securing an inner tube (3) which can be slid into an opening of the clamping device that is secured to an outer tube (2). There is a plastic sleeve (4), on which a clamping lever (6) is hinged against the force of a spring element (10). The clamping lever (6) has a first lever arm (12) for releasing the clamping device (1) and a second lever arm (11) arranged on the other side. The second lever arm (11) has a protrusion (9) which is arranged radially to the pole axis (36) and which engages into and through a radial through-opening (19) in the plastic sleeve (4) and engages into a groove (22) of the inner tube (3) in a formfitting manner in order to axially secure the two tubes (2, 3).
CONVERTIBLE HIKING STICKS
A convertible hiking stick includes a handle extending along a center axis and a first leg and a second leg that couple to the handle and extend along the center axis. The hiking stick is convertible into a tripod such that the first leg is in a first bore of the handle, the second leg is in a second bore of the handle, the first leg extends transverse to the second leg, and the first leg, the second leg, and the handle together support the hiking stick with respect to a surface.
Compact folding cane
A compact and collapsible cane includes a handle, a tip, and at least two collapsible cane segments joining the handle to the tip. In some aspects, the cane segments are configurable in an unfolded configuration and a folded configuration, where, in the folded configuration, a flat or nesting surface of one of the cane segments abuts a corresponding flat or nesting surface of an adjacent cane segment. In various examples, the collapsible cane includes a hinge with two parallel pivot axes between the two collapsible cane segments. In some examples, the cane includes a connector system with a male connector and a female connector connected by a shock cord between the two collapsible cane segments.
Convertible trekking staff
A convertible trekking staff includes a main shaft having an interior cavity that houses two concentric shafts. A first configuration includes a handle device coupled to the main shaft with the two concentric shafts disposed within the interior cavity of the main shaft to form a trekking staff. A second configuration includes an external component coupled to the main shaft in place of the handle device and the two concentric shafts received by an engagement structure on the main shaft so as to define a tripod.
Walking cane that folds into a portable chair
A multi-legged foldable cane chair with a folding geometry such that the members fold into a cane-like shape and unfold into a chair-like seat. The members and braces are joined such that one rear leg, one front leg, one armrest, and one seat bar comprise one side of the cane chair, while a rear brace and front brace separate the sides of the chair, and a seat and backrest provide areas for the user to sit and relieve weight. A handle provides a hand grip if the cane chair is used as a walking or standing aid.
AMBULATORY AID
An ambulatory aid, such as a walking cane, including an elongate shaft, a handle at a first, upper end of the shaft, and a foot piece at a second, lower end of the shaft opposite the first end. The cane shaft can be adjustable at a top end, middle, a bottom end, or any combination thereof. The top of the cane shaft is aligned at a more posterior angle then the bottom of the shaft. The handle of the cane is elongated and extends posterior and anterior to the shaft. In a particular embodiment, a posterior portion of the handle is longer, and optionally larger in surface area than an anterior portion of the handle such that the handle is configured so that when the person's hand is gripping the handle, the handle will be offset over the shaft.
ADJUSTABLE AND RETRACTABLE ROD APPARATUS
An adjustable and retractable rod apparatus includes an external pipe fitting, a multi-section rod unit and a positioning unit. The multi-section rod unit includes a first foldable rod and at least one second foldable rod, where the first and second foldable rods have the same outer diameter, and the positioning unit includes a linkage rope, a positioning component and a locking component, which are used to pull the external pipe fitting and the first foldable rod relative to each other. The linkage rope can be dragged, and the locking component and the positioning unit interlocked or separated. When the locking component and the positioning component are interlocked, the external pipe fitting can be connected to the multi-section rod unit in an unfolded state. When the locking component moves away from the positioning component, the first and second foldable rods of the multi-section rod unit are folded and in parallel relative to the external pipe fitting.
Hinged walking cane
Disclosed is a hinged cane to assist in user mobility. The cane comprises an upper section and a lower section and a hinged mechanism that connects the upper and lower sections. The hinged mechanism comprises a lower block and an upper block and a hinge coupler pivotally connected to the lower block and to the upper block. This configuration enables the lower section to be moved from a use position over a range of travel into a fully folded position. The cane includes a catch mechanism for releasably securing the upper section to the lower section when in the use position. The cane may include a foot that has a relatively more pliable skirt and a relatively less pliable central nub to assist in maintaining the natural walking motion of the user.
FOLDABLE STICK, IN PARTICULAR A SPORTS STICK
The present invention provides a foldable stick (10), in particular a sports stick (10), comprising a plurality of stick segments (12, 14, 16) and at least one tensioning mechanism (18, 20), the stick (10) being adjustable between an assembled configuration in which all stick segments (12, 14, 16) are joined aligned axially with one another, and a disassembled configuration in which the stick segments (12, 14, 16) are detached from one another and can be folded together, the tensioning mechanism (18, 20) is adapted to pretension the stick segments (12, 14, 16) into the assembled configuration of the stick (10).
STANDING AND WALKING SUPPORT DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A standing and walking support device and system supports and aids a user as the user moves from a sitting position to a standing position. A user is able to grasp and hold a top section of the device as the user stands up. As weight of the user and/or force is placed on the top section, the device compresses under the user's weight and/or force. The device guides the user to shift their center of gravity forward. As the user stands up, the device decompresses to return to its original height. The device and system is then usable as a support as the user walks.
