A dual-purpose stick for sitting and walking, comprising a stick body with a fixed inserting hole and an elongated hole; a seat-grip cushion body with a grip portion, a cushion portion and a grip hole, the cushion portion is axially extends axially with a pivot slot, the pivot slot comprises a vertical inserting hole in a axial direction and a horizontal inserting hole in a radial direction, a pivot inserting hole is radially penetrated on an outer surface of the seat cushion portion; an elastic element, arranged in the stick body; a fixing element, inserted into the fixed inserting hole and connected with bottom end of the elastic element; a penetrating element, inserted into the pivot hole and the elongated hole, connected with top end of the elastic element. The seat-grip cushion body can be movably pivoted and positioned between an upright grip position and a horizontal seat cushion position.

A foldable crutch includes an upper rod having a pad portion on a top end thereof and a first coupling portion at a bottom end thereof. The first coupling portion includes at least one positioning groove and a receiving groove. A handle is disposed on the upper rod. A lower rod includes an upper end having a second coupling portion mounted to the first coupling portion. The second coupling portion includes a positioning member for coupling with the positioning groove or the receiving groove. A turn knob is mounted to the first coupling portion. An axle extends through the first and second coupling portions and is pivotably connected to the turn knob. An elastic element biases the first and second coupling portions to disengage the positioning member from the at least one positioning groove when the turn knob is in the unlocking position.

An umbrella shaft assembly is provided for securing an umbrella to a chair or table. The umbrella shaft assembly includes an elongated shaft having a first end and a second end. A plurality of hinged finger projections are located on the elongated shaft. The finger projections are configured to extend outward and retract inward toward the elongated shaft. Further, an aperture is located on the elongated shaft, wherein a cord extends therethrough. The umbrella shaft assembly can be secured to a chair via securing the cord to a chair frame. Similarly, the umbrella shaft assembly can be secured to a table by extending the finger projections such that the umbrella cannot be hoisted through an umbrella receiving opening of the table. The umbrella shaft assembly further includes a conventional umbrella assembly construction that is large enough to shield a person or persons from the elements encountered outdoors.

An ambulatory aid, such as a walking cane, including an elongate shaft, a handle at a first, upper end of the shaft, and a foot piece at a second, lower end of the shaft opposite the first end. The cane shaft can be adjustable at a top end, middle, a bottom end, or any combination thereof. The top of the cane shaft is aligned at a more posterior angle then the bottom of the shaft. The handle of the cane is elongated and extends posterior and anterior to the shaft. In a particular embodiment, a posterior portion of the handle is longer, and optionally larger in surface area than an anterior portion of the handle such that the handle is configured so that when the person's hand is gripping the handle, the handle will be offset over the shaft.

An ambulatory aid, such as a walking cane, including an elongate shaft, a handle at a first, upper end of the shaft, and a foot piece at a second, lower end of the shaft opposite the first end. The cane shaft can be adjustable at a top end, middle, a bottom end, or any combination thereof. The top of the cane shaft is aligned at a more posterior angle then the bottom of the shaft. The handle of the cane is elongated and extends posterior and anterior to the shaft. In a particular embodiment, a posterior portion of the handle is longer, and optionally larger in surface area than an anterior portion of the handle such that the handle is configured so that when the person's hand is gripping the handle, the handle will be offset over the shaft.

Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture for multi-segment weighted trekking poles are provided. A typical three-segment trekking (or other) pole may benefit from removable annular-shaped weights that may provide liquid storage and may be retained in position by one or more weight locks. The standard basket and tip protector may be replaced with a combined tip protector and basket element that threads onto a bottom segment of the pole.

An apparatus that imparts a propelling force upon a body when stepping forward during walking motion is comprised of and assembled concentrically together with a stick, pin, elastic tube, coupler, and hand held grip. The user rotates the apparatus in a forward circular motion towards the same direction of travel about a fixed location at the stick bottom on the ground surface. An impulse occurs from the apparatus upon the ground surface that is caused by the arm and upper body muscular contractions working against the elongation of the elastic tube. Then the coupler that is attached to the recoiling elastic tube attains a momentum that equals the combined masses of the coupler and grasped hand multiplied by the resultant of the tangential and radial velocity vectors. Both resultant impulse and momentum vectors are combined with the user's forward momentum because the user holds onto the grip of the device.

A multi-functional activity management system for elderly utilizes prior art walking sticks to manage big data related to activity of elderly persons. In addition, new improvements have been made upon prior art walking sticks. By incorporating umbrella function into the walking stick, the stem portion becomes narrower and shorter, thereby making it easy to be inserted into the thin walking stick.

A cane comprises a handle, a foot, and a flexible flat spring member connecting the handle and the foot. The flexible flat spring member may be positioned to flex forwardly in a direction of travel of a user. The handle end may project rearward from a vertical center of the flat spring member. The cane may further comprise a flexible tube shrouding the flat spring member. The cane may further comprise a rigid strut member aligned with the flat spring member for selectively locking the flat spring member into a rigid condition and a first notch positioned for selectively engaging a lower end of the rigid strut member, such that the flat spring member is locked into a rigid condition when the lower end of the rigid strut member is engaged with the first notch.

The present invention provides a pole shaft device including an outer shaft (10); an inner shaft (20) which is disposed in the outer shaft (10) and slides along the inside of the outer shaft (10); a fixing member (30) which is fixed on the inner shaft (20) and has an inclined surface formed in the circumferential direction thereof; and an extension member (40) which is coupled to the outer shaft (10) so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction thereof, and is extended by friction with the inclined surface so as to fix the outer shaft (10) and the inner shaft (20).
