Mouth opening training device
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a mouth-opening training device with which continuous rotational movement and anterior sliding movement of the temporomandibular joint can be performed smoothly, the device thereby being capable of guiding the movement of the mandible so as to trace an actual mandibular mouth-opening movement. The mouth-opening training device is provided with: an upper member, the base end of which is grasped and the tip of which can engage with a user's maxilla; a lower member, the tip of which can engage with the user's mandible and a portion of which is in contact with the upper member so as to allow sliding; and a connecting section for connecting the upper member to the lower member so as to allow sliding and allow opening and closing. As the tip of the upper member is opened with respect to the tip of the lower member, the lower member moves in the direction of the tip.
Systems and Methods for Creating Custom-Fit Exoskeletons
A three-dimensional surface scan of an exoskeleton wearer is performed to generate three-dimensional surface data, and a three-dimensional surface model of the exoskeleton wearer is generated from the three-dimensional surface scan data. A three-dimensional exoskeleton model is generated from the three-dimensional surface model. At least one three-dimensional exoskeleton component is printed from the three-dimensional exoskeleton model, and a custom-fit exoskeleton is assembled using the at least one three-dimensional exoskeleton component.
Compression garments for a limb of a person and method for donning them
Compression garment (1) for a limb of a person, comprising a flexible body portion (2) having a first, limbward side (3) and a second side (4) opposing the first side (3), and at least one band (6) extending from a lateral side (30) of the body portion (2) for wrapping around the limb, wherein the band (6) comprises a fastener (13) such that the end of the band (6) is removably attachable onto the compression garment (1) when wrapped around the limb, whereby the body portion (2) further comprises at least one guiding element (10) providing a channel (9) for receiving the band (6) and guiding the band (6) back over itself when the band (6) spans over the first side (3) to provide an opening (8) for receiving the limb.
SIZING DEVICE, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a sizing device and includes a sizing frame and frame handle for the evaluation of the fitting of a therapy device to a patient. The sizing frame corresponds to the contact region of a therapy device and the inner area of the sizing frame corresponds to the target therapy area. The sizing device is designed to provide a visual indication of correct or incorrect fit of the sizing device and the subsequent corresponding therapy device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SINGLE OR MULTISENSORY STIMULATION TO IMPROVE PATIENT EXPERIENCE AND TOLERABILITY DURING AWAKE OR MINIMAL SEDATION PROCEDURES
Various examples are provided related to single or multisensory stimulation to improve patient experience and tolerability during awake or minimal sedation procedures. In one example, a system includes a vibratory array including first and second vibration sources coupled to an adjustable support structure for positioning about a procedure site; and a control unit communicatively coupled to the first and second vibration sources. Vibrational frequency of the vibration sources is controlled by the control unit. The multisensory system can also include an AR headset and a computing device to provide content on the AR headset. In another example, a method for stimulation during an awake or minimal sedation procedure includes providing a vibratory array; positioning the vibration sources on an individual about a procedure site; and adjusting the vibrational frequency of the vibration sources based upon stress, pain, discomfort, and/or anxiety level of the individual during the procedure.
LUMBAR SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR POWERED EXOSKELETON
A lumbar support apparatus for a powered exoskeleton includes a support member and a lumbar support member. The support member includes a back portion, a first arm, and a second arm. The back portion has a first surface and a second surface that extends between a back portion first end and a back portion second end. The first arm extends from the back portion first end. The first arm defines a first attachment point for a first leg support. The second arm extends from the back portion second end. The second arm defines a second attachment point for a second leg support. The lumbar support member is disposed on the first surface of the back portion.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PORTABLE POWERED STRETCHING EXOSUIT
Portable powered stretching exosuit (PPSE) systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The PPSE can be used to facilitate stretching routines for athletics, rehabilitation, or for therapeutic purposes such as maintaining mobility for DMD patients. The PPSE is comfortable, relatively easy to don and doff, and in a form factor such that the PPSE can be worn during the wearer's normal activities. The PPSE may be self-powered, and automatically perform or assist with specific stretching routines. PPSEs may be optimized for one or more specific stretches, whether for athletic performance, medical purposes or rehabilitation following surgery or injury.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSISTIVE EXOSUIT SYSTEM
Exosuit systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The exosuit system can be a suit that is worn by a wearer on the outside of his or her body. It may be worn under the wearer's normal clothing, over their clothing, between layers of clothing, or may be the wearer's primary clothing itself. The exosuit may be assistive, as it physically assists the wearer in performing particular activities, or can provide other functionality such as communication to the wearer through physical expressions to the body, engagement of the environment, or capturing of information from the wearer.
Exoskeleton robot for motor rehabilitation of the hand and wrist
An exoskeleton robot for hand and wrist kinetic rehabilitation provides passive, active-assisted, and active resistance rehabilitation for fingers and wrist joints independently. It relieves pain during exercises and stimulates the mechanoreceptors for all hand and wrist joints. The device provides levels of differentiation for finger rehabilitation through independent motion control mechanisms for all ten phalanges of the fingers and the wrist with a full range of motion, which helps in focusing the work on each joint selectively. It is portable, operates using an electric power source only, easy to wear, fits different hand sizes, and most of its parts made of lightweight plastic.
Leg therapy apparatus
A leg therapy apparatus is provided which enables the user to easily and comfortable engage the various muscles of the leg, providing the leg muscles with a therapeutic message which helps to loosen and relieve sore or damages muscles. The apparatus may also be used to assist in the removal of cellulite from areas of the leg. The apparatus is basically comprised of a frame structure means, a user engagement means, a coupling means, and an optional resistance means. The frame structure means has at least two main support members coupled together in such a manner that the leg of the user may be placed within, with the main support members surrounding a significant portion of the leg. The main support members are adjustably coupled together by the coupling means such that they may alternatively move away and towards one another, as the various leg muscles of the user are being engaged by the user engagement means. The optional resistance means may be used to provide motion resistance.
