DEVICE FOR PASSIVE THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE
A device for passive therapeutic exercise comprises at least one pedal for supporting a foot during a swivelling motion of the foot, the pedal being pivotally mounted on a shaft, the pedal arranged on a side of a drive housing on a revolving shaft extending from the side wall of the drive housing, the revolving shaft coupled with a drive mechanism arranged in the drive housing to create a forced swinging movement of the pedal around an axis of the shaft, whereas the axis of swinging movement of the pedal is arranged under the pedal adjacent to the perpendicular projection of the ankle joint to the pedal, whereas the drive housing may be provided with outriggers to adjust the inclination of the drive housing towards the base, and a mechanism to switch operations on and off, and regulate the size of range and speed of the pedal swinging movement.
VACUUM THERAPY APPARATUS
A vacuum therapy apparatus includes a vacuum chamber configured to receive an organ to be treated, a vacuum pump coupled to the vacuum chamber and configured to draw air from the vacuum chamber so that blood is drawn into the organ, a controller configured to cause the vacuum pump to undergo an operating cycle in which the organ is changed from a flaccid to an erectile state and then back to an flaccid state, causing tissues of the organ to expand and contract, and a memory provided on a detachable part of the apparatus and configured to store information regarding at least one operating cycle under which the apparatus has operated.
Continuous passive motion device
The present invention is directed toward a device for circumduction of a limb having a base, a vertical support operably coupled to and extending away from the base, a rotary member operably connected to the vertical support, a limb support member operably connected to the rotary member, and a motor drivingly engaged with the rotary member. The vertical support may be a rigid plate member, bracket, or frame. The bracket and/or frame may include at least one vertical member and at least one horizontal member. The rotary member is operably connected to the vertical support such that rotary member is free to rotate. Limb support member receives and supports the limb to be treated and is operably coupled to rotary member at a radial distance from a center of rotation thereby resulting in a circular motion of a limb when the motor is operated.
Compression therapy device having mechanical advantage
A compression therapy device for vascular diseases and other therapies including a bladder a lever arm acting on the outer surface of the bladder such that cyclical operation of an actuator on the lever arm creates cyclical changes in pneumatic pressure in the therapeutic portion of the bladder.
Guided movement
Wireless sensor network motes and radar & sensor-based systems receive sensed data, compare it to a predetermined standard and generate a signal to deploy a corresponding response.
Vibrating footwear device and entertainment system for use therewith
A footwear device for enhancing an entertainment experience in accordance with an embodiment of the present application includes a first actuator mounted in the footwear device and operable to impart a vibration to the footwear device based on an indication of reproduced sound included in the entertainment experience. A vibration signal is provided to drive the vibration of the footwear device and may be based on reproduced audible information and/or enhanced information optimized to maximize vibration. The present application also relates to an entertainment system for use with the vibrating footwear device.
Vibratory Cough Suppression
An apparatus comprises a vibrational transducer, a placement band, a driver module and a control module. The placement band is configured to hold the vibrational transducer adjacent to the skin surface overlying the cricoid cartilage and trachea region of a patient's neck. The driver module is configured to apply a drive signal to the vibrational transducer. The control module is configured to receive at least one input configured to provide vibrational operating information and control the driver module to cause the vibrational transducer to apply a vibratory stimulation in an amount determined, at least in part, by the vibrational operating information.
SUPPORTING MODULE AND MOTION ASSISTANCE APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A supporting module including a supporting frame including a proximal end and a distal end a connecting plate connected with the distal end of the supporting frame, a sliding plate in contact with one face of the connecting plate, a supporting band connected to both ends of the connecting plate, and an elastic strip configured to connect the sliding pate and the connecting plate is disclosed.
Vibrating and Heating Massage Vest
A unique and innovative vest provides vibrating and heating massage. A controller is used to control vibrating modules and heating elements positioned on the vest. Through a vibration button and a heat button, the controller allows a user to selectively control vibrating and vibrating/heating massages. Using increase/decrease intensity buttons the vest facilitates optimal massage effects per the user's desire. The vibrating modules is configured to vibrate and/or oscillate in various controlled directional and rotational movements, providing a therapeutic massage. Multiple body zone switches corresponding to various massage zones of the user's body offer the user efficient control of any specific local area for achieving effective massage, thus substantially facilitating the recovery of muscles/tissues injury, alleviation of body pain, stress relief of neck, back, shoulders, etc. Further, the massage vest includes a design that promotes good posture while the user is seated.
System and method for dynamic device discovery and address assignment
A pool or spa system includes networked pool or spa devices that can be dynamically configured with network addresses by a controller. The controller can transmit a device discovery request on a network and can receive a discovery response from pool or spa devices that require a network address. The system determines and assigns the network addresses for the pool or spa devices based on unique device identifiers associated with the responding pool or spa devices. The network addresses assigned to the pool or spa device are transmitted to the pool or spa device to be used by the pool or spa devices to communicate with the controller over the network. The system can be used to discover and assign addresses to various types of pool or spa devices, such as pumps, underwater lights, chlorinators, water feature controllers, remote controllers, and/or other types of devices.
