WEARABLE WALKNG ASSIST ROBOT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
20170333278 · 2017-11-23 ·

A wearable walking assist robot is provided that ensures high walking assistance performance without a complex calculation process by detecting a gait phase based on pressure distribution on feet and performing a corresponding control mode that is set in advance. The wearable walking assist robot includes a sensor unit that senses pressure on the soles of the feet of a wearer and a controller that determines gait phases of both a first leg to be operated and a second leg based on the sensed pressure. Additionally, the controller selects one of a plurality of control modes set in advance based on the determined gait phases and operates a joint-driving unit for the first leg to be operated.

Multi-function pelvic trigger point wand and related software.
20210393474 · 2021-12-23 ·

A Multi-function Pelvic Trigger Point Massage Wand is a handheld device for the treatment of pelvic pain and pain/discomfort caused by related urinary and sexual dysfunctions. The device provides an adjustable combination of heat, vibration, electric stimulation, electromyography, photoplethysmography pulse oximetry, and biofeedback, depending on the treatment regimen desired. A metal sensor band around the release-end of the wand conducts electromyography and electrical stimulation. Photodiode sensors are coupled with green and infrared LEDs to calculate the users heart rate and blood flow. A sensor for biofeedback measurement assigns data produced from electrical stimulation sensors, electromyography sensors, photodiode sensors and the biofeedback/pressure measuring function to a smart device with operating software created specifically for the pelvic trigger point wand. The information output is collected and analyzed to show the results of different treatment techniques.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE NON-INVASIVE PERSONALIZED TREATMENT OF SKIN BLEMISHES
20230263701 · 2023-08-24 ·

Device for non-invasive personalized treatment of skin disorders and imperfections, including: a console having recesses suitable for housing handpieces capable of being grasped by an operator to treat a patient's body or face thanks to the vibration generated by an internal cylinder at each handpiece at a predetermined frequency, each cylinder having rotating elements; a vibration adjustment device for each handpiece; an electric energy absorption sensor possibly combined with pressure and/or rpm sensors for each handpiece, suitable for communicating the data detected to a control unit adapted to process the data from the absorption sensors and to act on the frequency regulation devices of each handpiece to obtain an immediate variation of the vibration of the cylinders according to the mechanical resistance offered by the patient's tissue; and a communication interface.

FLUID-ACTUATED HAPTIC DEVICE AND METHODS FOR USING THEREOF
20230263687 · 2023-08-24 ·

A haptic device is disclosed comprising at least one fluidic actuator operatively connectable with pumping means; and a plurality of movable members mechanically connected with said at least one fluidic actuator, wherein said movable members can perform a displacement upon actuation of the fluidic actuator and/or resist the movements of a body part of a user upon actuation of the fluidic actuator, to provide a tactile and/or force haptic sensation to a body part of a user. Methods for providing a haptic sensation to a user and receiving haptic input commands from a user are also disclosed.

ARRANGEMENT FOR COMPRESSION TREATMENT, IN PARTICULAR COMPRESSION THERAPY ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AND MONITORING THE SAME

Arrangement for compression sensing between two objects, preferably for compression treatment, in particular compression therapy arrangement, comprising a first object, e. f. a compression garment adapted to exert external pressure on a second object, e. g. a body portion and at least one sensor device associated with the first object and having at least one pressure sensor for determining the external pressure, wherein the pressure sensor comprises at least one pressure circuitry, having a sensing impedance which is dependent on the external pressure and at least one reference circuitry having a reference impedance which is essentially independent from the external pressure, wherein a cumulative signal which is dependent on the external pressure and other external influences acting in the vicinity of the sensing impedance is derivable from the pressure circuitry and a reference signal which is essentially independent from the external pressures but dependent on other external influences acting in the vicinity of the reference circuitry.

A PRODUCT CONTROLLED WITH WATERPROOF PIEZO CRYSTALS

The invention relates to a product controlled with waterproof piezo crystals developed to control, through piezo crystals, the signaling system triggered before, during and after the crossing by pedestrians at signaled traffic intersections, wherein the product is highly durable and long-lasting, and facilitates use of signaled intersections by visually or hearing impaired and other pedestrians, and activates the signaling system, without the need to press any button, by detecting the pedestrians who stepped and applied pressure thereupon, thereby eliminating the risk of disease transmission.

Apparatus for applying periodic pressure to the limb of a patient and method of use
