Aseptic connector
An aseptic connector assembly includes a body portion having a receptacle configured to receive a corresponding fill connector. A pivot portion is movably coupled to the body portion, the pivot portion having a channel formed therein. A conduit portion is slidably disposed within the channel formed in the pivot portion. The pivot portion has a ready position and an operative position, the pivot portion being adjustable from the ready position to the operative position via relative movement with respect to the body portion.
RECONSTITUTION DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD TO ADMINISTER A DRUG IN A MODERATE BOLUS
A reconstitution device includes: a piercing member having a first end and a second end, the first end of the piercing member configured to engage an administration port; a delivery member having a first end and a second end, the first end of the delivery member configured to engage a delivery site; a collar configured to engage a vial; and a cap extending from the collar and holding the piercing member and the delivery member such that the second end of the piercing member and the second end of the delivery member are disposed within the cylindrical collar.
Sealing cap for a container for holding a medical liquid
A sealing cap for a container for holding a medical liquid comprising a cap body, which bounds an interior and has at least one opening, and at least one connection device, which is arranged on the cap body and to which a conveying device for feeding a medical liquid into the container or for removing a medical liquid from the container can be connected. The connection device has a sealing element, arranged on the cap body. The connection device has a break-off piece, which, in an initial state, is firmly connected to the cap body and covers the outer face of the sealing element in the outward direction. The break-off piece is connected to the cap body by means of a pre-determined breaking point. In addition, the sealing element is convex on the outer face.
FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS THEREFOR
The invention relates to a fluid transfer system (1) for transferring medical substances or drugs. It further relates to components and parts of such a transfer system (1), in particular its connecting components (2, 6) and the parts equipped with such connecting components (2, 6), such as syringes (4), containers (vials) (8) or application systems. According to the invention, a screw connection of the connecting components (2, 6) to each other is provided with regard to a particularly good dosability of the applied holding forces. In addition, a needle cap (2) made of comparatively soft, elastic material is provided as a seal and sealing closure for the hollow needles (40, 42) provided as actual transfer channels in the connection component (2).
Syringe adapter for animal medication
Improved apparatus for use with animal medication in fluid form, which is particularly beneficial for medications having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed syringe adapter has an opening that is relatively large, as compared to a conventional needle, and thus affixing the disclosed syringe adapter to a syringe improves syringeability of higher-viscosity medications. When the disclosed syringe adapter is affixed to a pistol-grip or tab-handled syringe, the medication withdrawn into the pistol-grip syringe can be more easily administered from the syringe barrel (noting that the syringe adapter will be replaced with a needle prior to injecting the medication).
ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTABLE AND DISCONNECTABLE ELEMENTS FOR THE RECONSTITUTION OF FLUID DRUGS AND NUTRIENTS WITH ACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN POWDER, LIQUID OR GEL FORM, AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
Assembly with connectable and disconnectable elements comprises a flexible bag containing liquid solution with a first valve connector, at least one vial with active substance and provided with a hermetic closing cap, a coupling and piercing device couplable to the cap of the vial and an adapter between the first connector and the coupling and piercing device. The adapter has a hollow external body with a first end fixable by screwing to the first connector, an axially bored, coaxial internal stem, the screwing causes the opening of the first connector and a second end including a second valve connector fixable to the coupling and piercing device and is screwable in the external body so that internal stem causes the opening of the second valve connector.
HOOKING AND PIERCING DEVICE FOR VIALS AND TUBES PROVIDED WITH A CLOSING CAP OPENABLE BY PRESSURE
A hooking and piercing device (1) for vials and tubes provided with a closing cap openable by pressure, comprising a hooking hood (2) with circumferentially distributed hooking toothed sectors (3) and an axial perforated stem (4) which extends axially and centrally out of the hooking hood (2) to be engaged by pressure inside a tube. The axial perforated stem (4) has an axially perforated appendix (6) which extends inside the hooking hood (2) and is shaped like a syringe luer. A frangible closing element (17) on the axial perforated stem (4) may be provided at the end of the axial perforated stem (4) opposite to the one with the luer-shaped appendix (6).
Secured medication transfer system
A vial adaptor and needle assembly are disclosed for use with a vial containing a medication, such as insulin. The vial adaptor may include a needle opening configured to receive a needle of a geometrically corresponding needle assembly to withdraw the medication from the vial in a secured manner. The vial adaptor may also include a cleaning passageway configured to receive a cleaning device to clean the vial.
Dual container system for product reconstitution
A system for reconstituting and sterilizing a concentrate includes a mixing container, a filtration device, and a product bag. The a mixing container has an inlet port and outlet port in fluid communication with a mixing chamber disposed between the inlet port and the outlet port. The mixing chamber is adapted to contain a product concentrate. The filtration device has an inlet and an outlet, the inlet of the filtration device coupled to the outlet port of the mixing container. The filtration device includes a filter membrane with a nominal pore size in a range of approximately 0.1 μm to approximately 0.5 μm. The product bag has an inlet port coupled to the outlet of the filtration device, and has a bladder defining an empty sterile chamber for receiving sterilized and reconstituted product resulting from mixing a diluent with a product concentrate in the mixing chamber to obtain a mixture then introduced through the filtration device to obtain the reconstituted and sterilized product.
Syringe adapter with aspiration assembly
A syringe adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end, with the housing including a connector body positioned at the first end of the housing and configured to be secured to a syringe barrel, a cannula positioned within the housing, with the cannula defining a transfer opening and a valve opening, a seal arrangement positioned within the housing and movable within the housing, and an aspiration assembly comprising an aspiration housing defining an aspiration opening, a filter received by the aspiration housing, and one-way valve received by the aspiration housing, where the valve opening of the cannula is positioned within the aspiration housing, and where air is configured to flow into the filter via the aspiration opening, into the one-way valve, and into the valve opening of the cannula.
