Medication management and reporting technology
Medication management and reporting technology, in which output from at least one sensor configured to sense physical activity in a building in which medication of a patient is located is monitored and a determination is made to capture one or more images of the medication based on the monitoring. A camera is used to capture an image of the medication and the captured image is analyzed to detect a state of the medication. Information regarding a schedule by which the medication should be taken by the patient is accessed and an expected state of the medication is determined. The detected state is compared with the expected state and a determination is made that the patient has departed from the schedule based on the comparison revealing that the detected state does not match the expected state. A message indicating the departure from the schedule is sent based on the determination.
ELECTRONIC PILL BOTTLE TAG
An electronic device, method of use, and system for improving medication compliance are disclosed. The device may comprise an upper cover configured to adhere to a pill bottle cap; a printed circuit board (PCB); a battery communicatively linked to the PCB; a sensor communicatively linked to the PCB; and a lower cover through which the sensor is configured to transmit and receive signals.
PILL DISPENSER DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A pill dispensing system includes a pill dispenser, which includes a body, a dispensing port in the body to dispense medicine from the body, and a computer processor supported by the body. In an embodiment, pill dispensing system includes a dispensing system platform and a pill dispenser configured to communicate with the dispensing system platform. The dispensing system platform includes an administrator module having a central database and an administrator portal configured for system administrator access. A pill dispenser key device includes a body housing a processor, a memory, and a communication element, the processor, the memory, and the communication element configured to communicate a digital key to a pill dispenser.
SMART MEDICATION CONTAINER
A method of dispensing medication including: filling a medication container with one or more medication dose, using one or more actuator of a medication dispenser device, according to a prescription for a specific patient, where the prescription is stored in a patient record for the specific patient; verifying delivery of the medication container to a vicinity of the specific patient and/or an environment of the specific patient, where the verifying includes generating a delivery verification signal; verifying use of the one or more medication dose, where the verifying includes generating a use verification signal; and where one or both of the use verification signal and the delivery verification signal are generated using and/or interacting with the medication container.
CONTAINER WITH CONTENT MONITORING AND REPORTING CAPABILITIES
An activity monitor is associated with a container, such as a medication bottle, and includes one or more detectors configured to detect activity associated with the bottle, such as movement, opening and/or closing, and changes in volume and/or mass. The activity monitor may include alerting devices and be programmed with scheduling information. The activity monitor may also, or instead, be part of a system and communicate with one or more remote devices such as a user device or monitoring system, such as to receive programming information from those devices or to output activity information to those devices.
PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY OF SAME
A disease management system including: a Diagnostic Module, which provides access to patient information and scientific guidelines for patient treatment; a Diagnostic Interpretive Module, which provides tools to evaluate risk of particular diseases or conditions based on patient information and an evaluative methodology; a Prescriptive Module, which is used to recommend, select, and/or evaluate one or more treatment regimens based on patient information and guidelines; a Dispensing Module, which evaluates a patient's compliance with a treatment regimen; and/or a Feedback and Patient Management Module, which gathers compliance information and evaluates efficacy of a treatment regimen for a patient. In embodiments of the subject invention, some or all of the modules described can communicate to manage a disease, medical condition, and/or health problem in a patient.
REFILL AND DOSAGE MANAGEMENT DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USE WITH COMPUTERIZED ORAL PRESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATION DEVICES
Refill and dosage management devices and associated systems and methods for use with computerized oral prescription administration (COPA) devices are provided. In some examples, an apparatus includes a dispensing unit configured to dispense a substance into a reservoir of a mouthpiece of an intended user; and an identification unit configured to, based on a communication from the mouthpiece, determine an identity of the intended user when the mouthpiece of the intended user is coupled to a housing, the housing sized and shaped to receive at least a portion of the mouthpiece.
OPTIMIZATION OF MEDICINES DELIVERY
Embodiments for scheduling the delivery of multiple medications to a patient by a processor. Any interactions between the multiple medications or between one of the multiple medications and a type of food are considered to construct an analytical model to identify an optimized schedule for delivery of the multiple medications to the patient. The optimized schedule is adjusted in real time as additional information concerning the multiple medications and the type of food are introduced, and delivered to a dispensing device associated with the one of the multiple medications.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND/OR CONTROLLING MEDICATION-TAKING BY A PATIENT AND METHOD ASSOCIATED THEREWITH
The present invention concerns a system (1; 101; 201; 301; 401) for monitoring and/or controlling the taking of one or more medications (P) packaged in a blister pack (10; 410) by a patient. The system (1; 101; 201; 301; 401) comprises an identification unit (20) suited to identify how many and/or what medications (P) are extracted from the blister pack (10; 410), a management unit (30) suited to receive and process information transmitted by the identification unit (20), a wireless communication unit (40) suited to transmit and/or receive wireless data and a service provider (50) suited to receive said wireless data from the wireless communication unit (40) and/or send wireless data to the wireless communication unit (40).
