CREAMY HYDRATING COSMETIC COMPOSITION IN A WATER RELEASE EMULSION
A cosmetic composition in the form of a creamy emulsion having an internal water phase in an oil phase includes at least one polyglyceryl ester, a glutamic acid, or a derivative thereof, at least one cosmetically acceptable glycol or diol, at least one oil, water, and optionally one or more additives. The composition excludes mineral and organic UV filters. The creamy emulsion demonstrates breaking and release of the water phase upon rubbing application of the composition on a substrate. The composition demonstrates stability at temperatures in a range from about 5° C. to about 45° C. for a period of eight weeks and under freeze-thaw conditions that range from about −20° C. to about 25° C., where the stability is evidenced by lack of separation of the water and oil phases and/or maintaining rheological characteristics over time in the absence of rubbing on a substrate.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL BASE EMULSION
Multi-functional base emulsions that can be used to form a variety of cosmetic compositions are disclosed. In one aspect, a cosmetic emulsion can include a water phase including about 10% to about 67.5% water by total weight of the cosmetic emulsion. The cosmetic emulsion can also include an oil phase that includes (a) stearalkonium hectorite, and (b) a silicone alkyl polyether selected from the group consisting of: PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone, PEG/PPG-20/15 dimethicone, and Lauryl PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone.
HAIR CONDITIONING COMPOSITION
A hair conditioner composition comprising a first material and a second material; wherein the first material comprises at least two amine groups, has an A Log P at pH 6 of less than about −2, and has a hydrophobic surface area at pH 6 of at least about 160 Å.sup.2 (Angstrom).sup.2; and wherein the second material comprises at least one C12 to C22 carbon chain and has an A Log P at pH 6 of at least about 3.2.

A makeup removal composition includes at least one silicone crosspolymer-based emulsifier, at least one polyglyceryl ester with HLB less than 10, at least one branched or linear liquid alkane with carbon chain length of C11 to C20, at least one polar emollient ester with carbon chain length of C12 to C24, water, or water and a water-based hydrating agent or solvent or combination thereof, and, optionally one or more additives.

The aqueous phase comprises water, one or more humectants, one or more preservatives, one or more preservative boosters, one or more stabilizers and/or one or more pH adjusters. The oil phase comprises one or more solvents, one or more emulsifiers, one or more emollients and/or one or more aesthetic modifiers. Methods of preparing the composition and methods of improving the appearance of skin are also provided.

Disclosed are a chemically asymmetric anisotropic powder, a stabilized water-in-oil (W/O) emulsification composition containing the same, and a method for preparing the same. The composition contains a chemically asymmetric anisotropic powder that forms emulsification particles with a stabilized interface film and various sizes, thereby providing a stabilized W/O emulsification composition having a low-viscosity formulation, which has a significantly lighter feeling of use than existing W/O formulations.
PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITIONS WITH GLUTATHIONE PRECURSOR COMPRISING 4-SUBSTITUTED RESORCINOLS AND AMINO ACIDS
Topical personal care compositions containing amino acids and 4-substituted resorcinols for potentiating glutathione synthesis within skin cells. The compositions can be used to improve skin appearance of chronological aging or photoaging, resulting from exposure to UV light/sunlight, or environmental pollutants. Personal-care composition comprising a hydrocarbon wax and a polar oil
In one embodiment, a stable personal-care composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion may comprise a hydrocarbon wax, a polar oil, and a non-emulsifying silicone elastomer. In another embodiment, a stable personal-care composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion may comprise a hydrocarbon wax and a polar oil. The weight ratio of the hydrocarbon wax to the polar oil is from about 0.01 to about 0.5. The personal-care composition allows for previously unattainable levels of polar oils and/or aqueous phase within a water-in-oil emulsion.
Composition for keratin fibers comprising a direct dye
The present invention relates to a composition for treating keratin fibers, preferably hair, comprising: (a) at least one direct dye; (b) at least one oil; (c) at least one polyol; and (d) water, wherein the amount of the (a) direct dye(s) in the composition is 0.01% by weight or more relative to the total weight of the composition, and the amount of the (b) oil(s) in the composition is 20% by weight or more, preferably 30% by weight or more, and more preferably 40% by weight or more, relative to the total weight of the composition, provided that the (b) oil comprises at least one silicone oil. The composition according to the present invention is stable and can be used for coloring keratin fibers, in particular for the maintenance of the color of the keratin fibers, while providing the keratin fibers with smoothness and alignment.
