REDUCTION OF TOOTH STAINING DERIVED FROM CATIONIC ANTIBACTERIALS
Disclosed are oral care compositions having reduced tooth staining propensity and comprising in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a cationic antimicrobial agent and an anti-stain agent comprising one or more materials from each of at least two of the following chemical groups: Group 1. anionic agents, Group 2. aldehydes, ketones, and other reactive carbonyl compounds and Group 3. nonionic ethoxylated surfactants.
Examples of cationic antimicrobial agent include quaternary ammonium compounds such as cetylpyridinium chloride, cetyl pyridinium fluoride, tetradecylpyridinium chloride, N-tetradecyl-4-ethyl pyridinium chloride and domiphen bromide; chlorhexidine; and metal ion sources to supply metal ions such as stannous, zinc or copper.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING BIGUANIDE COMPOUND AND DIOL SURFACTANT
Antimicrobial compositions are described comprising a least one biguanide compound and at least one hydrocarbon surfactant comprising a saturated or unsaturated C.sub.2-C.sub.4 diol moiety and optionally further comprising alkoxy groups. In some embodiments, the composition further comprises an aqueous or hydrophilic liquid carrier. In favored embodiments, the diol surfactant is present in an amount such that the antimicrobial activity of the biguanide antimicrobial compound is improved. Also described are articles comprising the described antimicrobial composition and methods of use of the antimicrobial composition.

The valve is designed for use as an on-off valve in air installations that operate with air.

Skin-brightening compositions and methods
A cosmetic composition for brightening skin and a method for brightening skin using the cosmetic composition are provided. The cosmetic composition is ammonia-free and persulfate-free, and includes hydrogen peroxide, at least one alkaline booster and at least one fatty compound present from about at least 30% by weight, based upon the total weight of the composition. The method for brightening skin includes applying to the skin a composition provided as a multi-part system, the parts separately containing two or more sub-compositions each of which comprises one of the hydrogen peroxide and the alkaline booster, one or both comprising a fatty compound component, the sub-combinations combinable at the time of use.

THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITION AND RELATED METHODS
A composition. The composition includes a compound of Formula (I) HOCH.sub.2—(═CHOH═).sub.n—CH2NR.sup.1R.sup.2 (I) wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, C(O)R.sup.3, and SO.sub.2R.sup.4, wherein at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is C(O)R.sup.3 or SO.sub.2R.sup.4, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having seven carbon atoms, an alkyl group having eight carbon atoms, and an alkyl group having nine carbon atoms, and n is an integer from about 2 to about wherein a concentration of the compound of Formula (I) is more than its critical micelle concentration; and an antimicrobial agent selected from the group consisting of a biguanide antimicrobial agent and a polymeric, cationic, non-micelle forming antimicrobial material; wherein a concentration of the antimicrobial agent is no more than 5 wt %.
THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITION AND RELATED METHODS
A composition.
