20200229885 · 2020-07-23 ·

Generally, a sterile adapter for use in robotic surgery may include a frame configured to be interposed between a tool driver and a surgical tool, a plate assembly coupled to the frame, and at least one rotatable coupler supported by the plate assembly and configured to communicate torque from an output drive of the tool driver to an input drive of the surgical tool.

Robot motion program generating apparatus

A robot motion program generating apparatus generates a motion program for moving a robot, avoiding an obstacle. The apparatus comprises a section inputting a taught trajectory of the robot, a section setting a tolerance region around the trajectory inputted by the trajectory inputting section, a section setting a motion-point group that is a collection of the motion points, by determining motion points of the robot in the tolerance region set by the region setting section, and iterating a task of connecting a source motion point to a subsequent motion point through a line segment, avoiding the obstacle, starting from one end and ending at the other end of the trajectory, and a section generating the motion program, based on the motion-point group set by the point-group setting section.

Storage material handling system

An autonomous transport robot for transporting a payload, the autonomous transport robot includes a payload bed having at least one reference datum surface and at least one payload justification device, the at least one payload justification device being configured to position a payload on the payload bed in substantial contact with the at least one reference datum surface to place the payload in a predetermined position on the payload bed.

SAFETY-RATED MULTI-CELL WORKSPACE MAPPING AND MONITORING

Safety systems in distributed factory workcells intercommunicate or communicate with a central controller so that when a person, robot or vehicle passes from one workcell or space into another on the same factory floor, the new workcell or space need not repeat the tasks of analysis and classification and can instead immediately integrate the new entrant into the existing workcell or space-monitoring schema. The workcell or space can also communicate attributes such as occlusions, unsafe areas, movement speed, and object trajectories, enabling rapid reaction by the monitoring system of the new workcell or space.

Access protection system

An access protection system comprises a first safety sensor, a second safety sensor, and an electronic control device that is in signal connection with the first and second safety sensors. The first and second safety sensors are laser scanners that each form a safety protected field and that each form a first detection protected field in operation and that are arranged such that the first detection protected fields do not overlap at least regionally. The electronic control device is configured to trigger a safety function on a penetration of an object into the safety protected field of the first and/or second safety sensors and to change the operating state of the access protection system when a penetration of the object is determined both into the first detection protected field of the first safety sensor and into the first detection protected field of the second safety sensor.

CLINICAL WORKFLOWS UTILIZING AUTONOMOUS AND SEMI-AUTONOMOUS TELEMEDICINE DEVICES

An unmanned conveyance vehicle includes a monitoring section which includes, as monitoring regions for detecting obstacles, a first monitoring region and a second monitoring region which is capable of detecting obstacles that are more distant than the first monitoring region, and a light emitting section which emits light in the first monitoring region, in which when an obstacle is detected within the first monitoring region, a vehicle is caused to perform an emergency stop. Ordinarily, when the unmanned conveyance vehicle stops the light emission of the light emitting section and detects an obstacle within the second monitoring region, the unmanned conveyance vehicle causes the light emitting section to emit light. Accordingly, when an operator enters the second monitoring region, the operator is capable of recognizing a distance at which, when reached by the unmanned conveyance vehicle, the unmanned conveyance vehicle will perform the emergency stop.

Handling gait disturbances with asynchronous timing

An example method may include i) detecting a disturbance to a gait of a robot, where the gait includes a swing state and a step down state, the swing state including a target swing trajectory for a foot of the robot, and where the target swing trajectory includes a beginning and an end; and ii) based on the detected disturbance, causing the foot of the robot to enter the step down state before the foot reaches the end of the target swing trajectory.
