LECITHIN-CONTAINING COSMETIC BASE MATERIAL AND COSMETIC PREPARATION IN WHICH SAME IS BLENDED
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a cosmetic base material which is capable of stably retaining lecithin in the form of a liposome; and a cosmetic preparation which contains this base material and has excellent usability (such as soft texture when applied to the skin and quick adhesion to the skin) and excellent stability. The present invention relates to: a cosmetic base material which is characterized by containing (a) a liposome that contains (a-1) lecithin and (a-2) an oryzanol, and (b) an aqueous medium that contains (b-1) water and (b-2) a polyhydric alcohol, and which is also characterized in that the ratio of the blending amount of the liposome (a) to the blending amount of the aqueous medium (b), namely (a):(b) is within the range of from 1:99 to 1:32; and a cosmetic preparation which contains a microemulsion part and a liposome part that is composed of this base material.
TRANSDERMAL PENETRANT FORMULATIONS
Disclosed herein is a transdermal delivery formulation for transdermal delivery of an active agent through the skin, nail or hair follicle of a subject, wherein the formulation comprises a) a transdermal delivery formulation in an amount less than about 60% w/w, comprising i. one or more phosphatides, ii. glucose, and iii. one or more fatty acids; and b) water in an amount less than about 50% w/w.
Cosmetic base compositions and associated cosmetic compositions
A cosmetic concentrate base composition and cosmetic compositions for use as creams or lotions utilizing the same, the cosmetic concentrate base composition including approximately 20% to 25% by weight of a first component, the first component being a phospholipid component; approximately 10% to 40% by weight of a second component, the second component being a lipid component; and approximately 4% to 5% by weight of a third component, the third component being a hydrophilic component.
TOPICAL MOSQUITO CONTROL PRODUCT WITH SUNSCREEN
A topical mosquito repellent and sunscreen product includes active and inert ingredients. The active ingredients include natural materials and may include soybean oil, clove oil, thyme oil and geraniol and the inert ingredients include bees wax, sunflower oil, steric acid, zinc oxide, water, vanillin, lecithin, and triethyl citrate.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ORGAN SPECIFIC DELIVERY OF NUCLEIC ACIDS
The present disclosure provides compositions which shown preferential targeting or delivery of a nucleic acid composition to a particular organ. In some embodiments, the composition comprises a steroid or sterol, an ionizable cationic lipid, a phospholipid, a PEG lipid, and a permanently cationic lipid which may be used to deliver a nucleic acid.
Self-Emulsifying Bioactive Concentrates
A self-emulsifying bioactive concentrate produced by a process comprising the steps of (a) creating a lysophospholipid concentrate comprised of a de-oiled lecithin source and 0.1% to 10% of an enzyme with having phospholipase A activity, wherein the lysophospholipid concentrate contains greater than 20% lysophosphatidyl-choline; and (b) combining the lysophospholipid concentrate from step (a) with a retinyl ester formed by the reaction of retinol and one or a mixture of unsaturated fatty acid(s).
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DERMATOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE VEHICLE HAVING MULTILAYER STRUCTURE, AND COMPOSITION MATERIAL FOR FUNCTIONAL COSMETIC CONTAINING DERMATOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE VEHICLE MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a dermatologically active substance vehicle having a multi-layer structure and a composition material for a functional cosmetic containing a dermatologically active substance vehicle manufactured using the same. The method includes manufacturing a hydrogenated lecithin dispersion solution by adding hydrogenated lecithin to purified water at 70 to 90° C. with agitation to thus perform dispersion, manufacturing a pre-emulsion base by adding saturated fatty alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms to the hydrogenated lecithin dispersion solution at 70 to 90° C. with agitation to thus perform dispersion, manufacturing an emulsion base by adding the pre-emulsion base and a water-soluble substance to the purified water at 70 to 90° C. with agitation to thus perform dispersion, and manufacturing a multi-layer globule including phospholipid bilayers by adding oil to the emulsion base at 70 to 90° C. with agitation to thus perform dispersion.
COLD SOLUTION FOR FAT REDUCTION
The present invention is a cold solution for reducing adipose tissue or fat. Delivering the cold solution to a region of lipid-rich tissue induces the natural cell death of adipocytes and thereby reduces the tissue. Following cell death, localized panniculitis or inflammation of the tissue leads to further reduction as adipocytes are removed as a result of phagocytosis. The cold solution does not have ice particles. One or more additives, including salt, sugar, thickeners, freezing point depressants, surfactants, and excipients can be added to the cold solution to facilitate/enhance fat reduction. Fat reduction by cold solution injection can be used to improve one's appearance or to treat a weight-related disorder, such as obesity.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVING SKIN CONDITION CONTAINING PEONY EXTRACT AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT FOR HEATSHOCK PROTEIN ACTIVATION
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition which includes microcapsule particles (1 to 1,000 μm) stabilized by encapsulating a peony extract as an active ingredient, which is useful for skin, with a biocopolymer, and a fibrous protein surrounding the particles in a matrix form, a method of preparing the cosmetic composition, and the use of the cosmetic composition for improving a skin condition.
MAGNOLIA EXTRACT CONTAINING COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed is a powder composition consisting essentially of Magnolia officinalis bark extract comprising magnolol and honokiol, tocopherol or tocopherol acetate, lecithin, at least one gum, and optionally water, wherein the composition is in powdered form.
