MAGNETIC BUCKLING ASSEMBLY
20200367611 · 2020-11-26 ·

A magnetic buckling assembly includes a male buckling component, a female buckling component, a first locking portion, a second locking portion, an operating component, a first magnetic component, a second magnetic component and a clearance structure. The first magnetic component magnetically attracts the second magnetic component for preventing separation of the male buckling component and the female buckling component or magnetically repulses the second magnetic component for promoting the separation of the male buckling component and the female buckling component when the operating component is operated to disengage the first locking portion from the second locking portion for allowing the separation of the male buckling component and the female buckling component. The clearance structure allows the second locking portion to slide an offsetting position for preventing the separation of the male buckling component and the female buckling component after engagement of the first locking portion and the second locking portion.

A magnetic mechanical latching attachment for connecting goggles to a helmet includes a goggle attachment portion configured to mechanically and magnetically attach to a helmet attachment portion. The goggle attachment portion and helmet attachment portion include complimentary interlocking features that mechanically lock the portions together when attached and magnetic features that assist engagement of the complimentary interlocking features in a locked position. A related method of coupling goggles to a helmet, as well as a helmet-goggle attachment system, is provided.

MILANESE BAND

A metallic mesh material used to form a portion of a band or securing strap for a wearable electronic device. The band may include a magnetic tab for securing a wearable device to the wrist of a user. The tab may include one or magnetic elements that are configured to engage a surface of the mesh to secure the wearable device to the wrist of a user.

MAGNETIC CLASP

A bottle holder for a water sports board is disclosed. The bottle holder includes a female portion arranged for attachment to a water sports board, the female portion having sloped annular receiving surfaces surrounding a permanent magnet. A male portion is arranged to be fixed to a water bottle. The male portion has sloped annular projections arranged to engage with the female portions, enabling the bottle to be held in position by threaded engagement and by magnetic attraction simultaneously.

Reusable Closure System

A reusable closure system for providing easy closure and opening of an object such as a sheet forming a barrier. The reusable closure system generally includes a backing member adapted to be secured to an object, such as by an adhesive. A closure member may be connected to the backing member, with the closure member including a first portion which is removably connected to a second portion by one or more magnets. An optional outer closure member may be connected to the closure member, with the outer closure member including a zipper. Thus, the reusable closure system may be secured to various objects to allow for selective opening or closing of the objects in a versatile, user-selected manner.

Method of using a magnetic button for use with a preexisiting button and a preexisiting button hole associated with the preexisiting button of an article of clothings
20200281326 · 2020-09-10 ·

A method for using a magnetic button with a preexisting button and a preexisting button hole associated with the preexisting button that is held onto an article of clothing by a thread, and the preexisting button hole has a perimeter. The method includes the steps of sliding a generally triangular-shaped cutout of a base of a female portion of the magnetic button over the thread that is holding the preexisting button onto the article of clothing, capturing the thread in a central through bore of the base of the female portion, positioning the preexisting button of the article of clothing onto the base of the female portion, closing a cover of the female portion onto the base of the female portion capturing the preexisting button of the article of clothing therebetween, inserting a male portion of the magnetic button into the preexisting button hole of the article of clothing until the perimeter of the preexisting button hole of the article of clothing sits in an annular groove of a perimeter of a magnet of the male portion, and attaching the male portion to the female portion by positioning the magnet of the male portion onto the cover of the female portion.

COVER FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A magnetic attachment mechanism and method is described. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach at least two objects together in a preferred configuration without fasteners and without external intervention. The magnetic attachment mechanism can be used to releasably attach an accessory device to an electronic device. The accessory device can be used to augment the functionality of usefulness of the electronic device.
