Hair coloring compositions and methods of using the same
Hair coloring compositions that form a transparent microemulsion and have a desirable texture. The hair coloring compositions may include about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of one or more oxidative dye precursors; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of one or more anionic surfactants chosen from acyl amino acid surfactants; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of one or more amphoteric surfactants; about 0.1 to about 30 wt. % of a plurality of nonionic surfactants; and water. The plurality of nonionic surfactants include about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of one or more alkyl polyglucosides; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a sorbitan compound, a derivative thereof, or a mixture thereof; and about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of one or more polyol esters.
NONAQUEOUS COMPOSITION FOR EXTERNAL USE ON SKIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A nonaqueous composition for external use on the skin including a strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient-surfactant complex dissolved or dispersed as a particle having a particle size of 2 nm to 200 nm in an oil phase. A strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient-surfactant complex dissolved or dispersed as a particle having a particle size of 2 nm to 200 nm in the oil phase can be prepared by: adding a strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient to a water phase to obtain a water phase mixture; adding a surfactant to an oil phase to obtain an oil phase mixture; mixing the obtained water phase mixture with the oil phase mixture to obtain a water-in-oil emulsion; freeze-drying the water-in-oil emulsion to obtain a strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient-surfactant complex; and dissolving or dispersing the obtained strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient-surfactant complex in an oil.
USE OF PROPOXYLATED SURFACTANT OR POLYMER IN FOAMING APPLICATIONS TO CONTROL VISCOELASTICITY IN HIGHLY ACTIVE LIQUID FORMULATIONS
Antimicrobial or non-antimicrobial compositions, sanitizing compositions and other compositions combining use of a propoxylated EO/PO block copolymer surfactant and/or propoxylated polymer in combination with at least one additional anionic and/or nonionic surfactant to provide concentrated compositions having a desired viscoelasticity at an active level of at least 18% are disclosed. Non-antimicrobial applications combining use of a propoxylated surfactant and/or propoxylated polymer in combination with at least one additional anionic and/or nonionic surfactant to provide compositions having a desired viscoelasticity are also disclosed. Methods of using concentrated and use compositions having desired foaming enhancement and stabilization are also disclosed.
SHAMPOO COMPOSITION
A shampoo composition delivering consumer desired lather, cleaning and viscosity comprising from about 8 wt % to about 35 wt % of decyl glucoside having an average alkyl chain length of about C10; from about 0.25 wt % to about 1.0 wt % alkyl glucoside with an average alkyl chain of C12 and greater; from about 0.4% to 2.0% of a gum selected from non-ionic and anionic gums consisting of xanthan gum, sclerotium gum, guar gum, locust bean gum, tragacanth gum, acacia gum, agar gum, algin gum, gellan gum, carob gum, karaya gum biosacharide gum, calcium carrageenan, potassium carrageenan, sodium carrageenan, potassium alginate, ammonium alginate, calcium alginate and any combination thereof.
SHAMPOO COMPOSITION
A shampoo composition comprising a nonionic surfactant, and a cationic guar having a weight average molecular weight of from about 800,000 g/mol to about 5,000,000 g/mol, and a charge density of from about 0.1 meg/g to about 2.5 meg/g. The shampoo is phase stable and delivers a consumer desirable in use viscosity while still providing cleaning, moisture and slip feel hair benefits.
