RECOMBINANT MICROALGAE ABLE TO PRODUCE KTTKS PEPTIDES, POLYPEPTIDES, OR PROTEINS AND THEIR DERIVATIVES AND ASSOCIATED METHOD AND USES THEREOF
The present invention concerns a recombinant microalgae comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding a recombinant peptide of KTTKS (SEQ ID No 1); a recombinant peptide, polypeptide or protein consisting in repeated units of SEQ ID No 1; or a derivative thereof, said nucleic acid sequence being located in the chloroplast genome of microalgae. It also relates to a method for producing a recombinant peptide of SEQ ID No 1; a recombinant peptide, polypeptide or protein consisting in repeated units of SEQ ID No 1; or a derivative thereof, wherein said method comprises the chloroplast genome transformation of a microalgae with a nucleic acid sequence encoding said recombinant protein, polypeptide or peptide. It further relates to the use of said recombinant peptide, polypeptide or protein for the cosmetic industry.
PHYCOCYANIN PIGMENT COMPOSITION
An object of the present invention is to provide a phycocyanin pigment composition insoluble in water and provide food, cosmetics, a coating material or a printing marker for pharmaceuticals or agricultural chemicals, a stationery product, a writing tool, a printing ink, an inkjet ink, a metal ink, a paint, a plastic coloring agent, a color toner, a fluorescent labeling agent, a fluorescent probe, or a chemical sensor, each containing the pigment composition. It was found that the phycocyanin pigment composition containing phycocyanin and a metal or a metal compound was insoluble in water, and thus the present invention was accomplished.
FUSION PROTEIN COMPRISING HEAT SHOCK PROTEIN 10 AND BRAZZEIN PROTEIN WITH ENHANCED ANTI-OXIDATION ACTIVITY AND SKIN CELL PROLIFERATION EFFECT AND ANTI-WRINKLE COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT
A fusion protein includes heat shock protein 10 and brazzein protein. The fusion protein has an enhanced anti-oxidation activity and skin cell proliferation effect. It can be used as a cosmetic composition for ameliorating skin wrinkles. The cosmetic composition including the fusion protein can be advantageously used in future as a material of a functional cosmetic product.
Oligopeptide with anti-inflammatory activity, preparation method, and application thereof
An oligopeptide with anti-inflammatory activity, a preparation method, and an application thereof are provided, belonging to the field of biotechnology. An amino acid sequence of the oligopeptide is shown as SEQ ID NO:1. The preparation method includes: digesting a wheat germ protein through a simulated gastrointestinal tract to obtain protein digestion products; separating the protein digestion products by ultrafiltration membranes to obtain components I (>3 kDa), II (1˜3 kDa), and III (<1 kDa), screening the components to obtain III as an anti-inflammatory active component, and finally identifying the oligopeptide by LC-MS/MS polypeptide. The oligopeptide has strong anti-inflammatory activity, is derived from the wheat germ protein, has the characteristics of safety, high efficiency, simple preparation method, good repeatability, has broad prospects in food, medicine, and other fields, and can be applied to preparations of medicines or functional foods for preventing and treating enteritis.
Compositions Containing Microcapsules
A microcapsule composition containing microcapsules coated with a deposition protein, e.g., a protein-silanol copolymer, a protein-silane copolymer, a protein-siloxane copolymer, or a cationically modified protein, is provided as is a method for making the microcapsule composition and using the microcapsule composition in consumer products, in particular rinse-off consumer product.
Structured Fat System With Reduced Content In Or Free From Trans And Saturated Fatty Acids And Uses Thereof For The Preparation Of Foodstuffs
The invention relates to a structured fat system for use in food applications. The invention also relates to the use of a structured fat system for reducing the trans- and saturated fat content of a food product.
Microcapsule comprising glycoprotein derived from plants
The present invention relates to a microcapsule containing a glycoprotein derived from plants. Also, the present invention provides a microcapsule having oxidation ability and which is easy to prepare. Through said antioxidant capacity, oxidation and decomposition of an internally contained material can be prevented. According to the microcapsule of the present invention, the active components, in a form which was previously stabilized by a synthetic polymer derived from crude oil or by a surfactant, can be stabilized by naturally derived components. Also, since an organic solvent is not additionally used during the capsule preparation process, the preparation is simple and eco-friendly.
