A system for releasably attaching a steerable disposable multi-linked device to a durable device may include a disposable portion and a durable portion. The disposable portion may include a connecting member connected to the disposable portion and the durable portion and a steerable multi-linked device. The steerable multi-linked device may include a first link, a plurality of intermediate links, a second link movably coupled to a second one of the intermediate links, and a cable which passes through the first link and intermediate links and extends beyond a first end of the first link. A first one of the intermediate links may be movably coupled to the first link. The durable portion may include an axial member which defines an opening therethrough and a feeder mechanism.
Low stiffness flexure
A flexure includes a support first end connected to a first frame; a support second end connected to a second frame; and a buckled section connecting the first support end to the second support end. The length of the flexure is substantially greater than its width, and the width of the flexure is substantially greater than its thickness. During operation, the flexure is maintained in a buckled state where the flexure's stiffness is significantly less than in the unbuckled state. In one implementation, a stage includes a flexure array joining a first frame and a second frame, where: the first frame and the second frame are substantially on a plane; the flexure array is substantially on the plane prior to buckling by the flexures of the flexure array; and the flexure array is bent substantially out of the plane after buckling by the flexures.

A method and a device for orienting an actuator of an exhaust-gas turbocharger which has an actuator that is equipped with an actuator housing and is connected to a control rod. First, an actuator holder is fastened to the compressor housing of the exhaust-gas turbocharger. Then the actuator is inserted into the actuator holder. Then the actuator is positioned within the actuator holder. Then a compensating material is introduced through an injection opening into a compensating-material receiving space which is provided in the actuator holder. Finally, the compensating material is hardened.

The application discloses an auxiliary device for a tank of an ultrasound apparatus which comprises a rack and at least one adapter for a medical instrument. Thereby, the adapter comprises a housing and at least one coupling element which is movable with respect to the housing by way of a drive and which can be coupled to the medical instrument, so that a movement of the coupling element effects an active movement of at least one region of the medical instrument.
Ball joint and steering device including the same
A rack-and-pinion type steering device includes a ball joint for connecting a rack shaft and a tie rod. The ball joint includes a socket and a ball. The socket is provided with a regulated surface allowed to contact a regulating surface of a rack housing, and a screw projecting from the regulated surface to be connected to the rack shaft. The regulated surface includes an intermediate portion having a curved surface shape that recedes from a regulating surface in a longitudinal direction of the rack shaft toward the outer circumference, and the regulated surface has such a shape that a pointed portion toward the regulating surface is less likely to be formed on the regulated surface even if a processing error occurs in the processing for forming the regulated surface of the socket.
