Scent permeation container seal, container including said seal and methods of making said seal and said container
A seal for containers is provided that allows the scent or aroma from the substance within the container to come through, while preventing leakage of the substance from within the container and/or physical contact of the substance by the consumer. More particularly, a seal is provided having at least one slit scoring fewer than all of the layers of the seal. The slit(s) will allow a consumer to sniff the scent or aroma released through the slit, while the seal remains secured to the container, extending shelf life of the substance, and preventing leakage, as well as, contamination, damage and/or reduced volume caused by consumers sampling the products.
Control of reciprocation speed and orbital magnitude of a jigsaw with a plurality of material and/or task descriptive icons
A jigsaw generally includes a housing containing a motor activated by a trigger assembly. A single control member is connected to the housing and configured to be accessible by a user. A reciprocating shaft moves at a reciprocation speed and at a magnitude of orbital motion when the trigger assembly is in a retracted condition. The single control member is operable to be positioned among a plurality of positions. Each of the positions corresponds to a predetermined combination of values of the reciprocation speed and the magnitude of the orbital motion.
Pipe cutting tool
A pipe-cutting tool is provided. This tool includes a body; a track on the middle portion of the body; a first moveable carriage mounted on the track, wherein the first carriage includes first and second rollers mounted therein; a handle mounted in the rear portion of the body, wherein the handle is connected to the first moveable carriage; a second moveable carriage slidably mounted on the track, wherein the second moveable carriage further includes a rotatable cutting blade mounted therein; a carriage stop mounted on or formed integrally with on the front portion of the body, wherein the carriage stop is adapted to receive therein a portion of the second moveable carriage; and a biasing member mounted between the carriage stop and the second moveable carriage, wherein the biasing member exerts substantially continuous force on the second moveable carriage for urging the rotatable cutting blade against a pipe being cut.
Wire stripping tool
A wire stripper operable to strip insulation from a wire, the wire stripper including a battery, a handle portion including a receptacle that receives the battery along a battery insertion axis, a motor, the motor located in the handle portion, the motor including a motor shaft that rotates about a driveline axis. The wire stripper further includes a rotary head coupled to the motor for rotation about a wire insertion axis that is perpendicular to the driveline axis. The rotary head defines a central aperture and the wire insertion axis extends through the central aperture. A blade is coupled to the rotary head for rotation with the rotary head about the wire insertion axis. The blade extends into the central aperture to cut the insulation of the wire passing through the central aperture along the wire insertion axis as the blade rotates about the wire insertion axis.
Apparatus for dry lubrication of a thin slitting blade
A block of a solid lubricant material, such as PTFE, is biased continuously or intermittently against the cutting edge of a rotary slitting blade for corrugated paperboard. The solid lubricant block prevents the build up of starch adhesive and biasing movement compensates for wear of the block and wear of the cutting blade edge.
Computerized tool path generation
An automated computer-implemented method for generating commands for controlling a computer numerically controlled machine to fabricate an object from a workpiece, the method including the steps of selecting a maximum permitted engagement angle between a rotating cutting tool and the workpiece, selecting a minimum permitted engagement angle between the rotating cutting tool and the workpiece, and configuring a tool path for the tool relative to the workpiece in which the engagement angle gradually varies between the maximum permitted engagement angle and the minimum permitted engagement angle.
Facial hair shaver with built-in facial hair pattern guides
A shaving apparatus with a canopy with a nose guard and chin guard; at least one cutting mechanism disposed on a track within the canopy, wherein the track is configured to define the outline of a beard style; and at least one motor for (a) operating the cutting mechanism(s) and (b) shifting the position of the cutting mechanism(s) around the track. The apparatus may be positioned utilizing the canopy's features. The cutting mechanisms may be spring mounted rotary blades that are pressed against the user's face.
Weight material dispensing, cutting and applying system
An apparatus for balancing a wheel includes a tool that is mechanically coupled to an arm. The tool includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a face surface that forms an arc between the leading and trailing edges. The apparatus includes an arm control module that actuates the arm to position the leading edge of the tool a predetermined distance from an edge of a deck to receive a wheel weight. The apparatus includes a cutting apparatus for separating the wheel weight from a supply feed of wheel weight material. The apparatus includes a sensor that detects presence or absence of the wheel weight on the tool.
Removable adhesive joint for computing device
Examples of computing devices including a processor, memory, and a display device housed within the same enclosure are described. In examples, the display device, which may include a cover glass, may be attached to the enclosure using a multilayer adhesive member, the multilayer adhesive including a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer disposed on opposite sides of a foam layer. The first and/or second adhesive layers may include two or more layers of a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), which may be separated using one or more adhesive carrier films. In examples, the first and/or second adhesive layers may include a low tack (e.g. removable) PSA for adhering to surfaces of the display and enclosure and for facilitation removal and re-workability of the adhesive joint.
Apparatus and method for cutting facestock
Apparatuses and methods for cutting a facestock on a liner. An anvil roller receives facestock on liner. A cutting roller, under a force, cuts facestock between the cutting roller and the anvil roller. At least one support roller supports the cutting roller and, optionally, the anvil roller, thereby distributing the force into two or more portions and/or subportions, in two or more directions. Apparatuses, methods and kits for preparing a cutting surface of a cutting roller in a facestock cutting apparatus, or for extending the usefulness of a cutting roller. An equalizer roller is provided in a position adjacent to the cutting roller. The equalizer roller has an equalizing surface having a hardness at least as hard as a hardness of the cutting surface. The cutting roller is rotated against the equalizer roller such that the cutting surface is equalized by the equalizing surface.
