The disclosure relates to compositions comprising (a) at least one polyphenol; (b) at least one film former; (c) at least one gum; (d) at least one emulsifier; (e) at least one fatty alcohol; and (f) at least one solvent. Optionally, the compositions may further comprise at least one humectant and/or at least one fatty acid. The compositions can be used for styling hair, for example temporarily straightening the hair and/or for reducing frizz of hair. The disclosure also relates to methods of using the compositions to style hair, straighten hair, and/or reduce frizz of hair.

The present invention relates to a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular eyelids. One of the aspects of the present invention is a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular to eyelids, comprising: (i) at least one polymer which has a Tg of −30° C. or less; (ii) at least one hydrophilic thickener; (iii) at least one pigment; and (iv) water. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention can provide a good feeling during use and appropriate adhesiveness to fake eyelashes, and is stable over time.

Disclosed are stable microcapsule compositions each containing a microcapsule dispersed in an aqueous phase and a stabilizing agent. The microcapsule compositions are stable for at least 4 weeks when storing at 45° C., and the microcapsule composition is considered stable when (i) the composition has a viscosity of 3000 cP or less and (ii) 20% or less water by volume of the composition is separated from the composition. This invention relates to a composition, preferably a demake-up cosmetic composition, comprising: an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, at least one homopolymer of non-superabsorbent acrylic acid that is at least partially neutralized, at least one cross-linked copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid and of C1-C6 alkyl acrylate, at least one polysaccharide gelling agent comprising at least one glucose monomer, and said composition having a pH greater than or equal to 5.5. A hair treatment compositions including about 20 wt. % or more of a polyol; about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a monoalcohol having 1 to 10 carbons; about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of silicone; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic polymer; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic surfactant; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 10 wt. % or less of water, wherein all percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition.

A cosmetic composition for peel-off-type packs includes a thickener so that pearl or powder particles are stabilized in a formulation to thus impart a sophisticated and differentiated appearance. The content of an alcohol ingredient therein is controlled to accelerate drying, which maximizes a lifting effect. Silicone, imparting a feeling of conditioning, is introduced into polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, which are film formers, thus minimizing skin irritation upon peeling off.

An oral appliance, a method of making the oral appliance for delivering an antimicrobial composition to an oral cavity and a method of treatment are provided. The oral appliance has an exterior surface and an interior surface, the interior surface of the oral appliance configured to contour at least a portion of teeth and/or soft tissue areas of the oral cavity. The antimicrobial is dispensed by itself or as a composition in a carrier at discrete regions of the interior surface, the exterior surface or both the interior surface and the exterior surface of the oral appliance for delivering the antimicrobial or an antimicrobial composition to the oral cavity, wherein the antimicrobial is present in the carrier in an amount of about 0.01% to about 20% w/w, v/v or w/v based on a total weight or a total volume of the carrier.

The present invention is related to the field of liquid disinfectant formulas, specifically with obtaining disinfectant compositions applicable to hard and smooth surfaces, porous surfaces and for human use; particularly with disinfectant compositions that allow the surface or surfaces where it is applied, a disinfection with a prolonged effect, for periods greater than 24 hours. More particularly with the use of long-lasting disinfectant compounds, some of them approved by international agencies such as the EPA, and which are also approved by the FDA for cosmetic use due to their low or null toxicity.
