The present invention relates to a hair cosmetic containing the following components (A) to (C): (A) a compound represented by the following general formula (1) or a salt thereof: ##STR00001## wherein a broken line represents the presence or absence of a π bond; R.sup.1 represents a hydroxy group or an acetoxy group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or —COOR (R is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or an ethyl group); and R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group, a methyl group, or an ethyl group; (B) a cationic polymer; and (C) an ampholytic polymer having a predetermined cationic structural unit and an anionic structural unit, a mass ratio of the component (C) to the component (A) [(C)/(A)] being 0.7 or more and 10 or less.

The present disclosure relates to a solid hair cosmetic composition comprising—based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition—about 30.0 to about 60.0% by weight of at least one polyhydric alcohol, and optionally: about 0.1 to about 15.0% by weight of at least one cationic surfactant, about 0.1 to about 20.0% by weight of at least one saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alcohol and/or a saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 carboxylic acid and/or a salt of a saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 carboxylic acid, and about 0.1 to about 40.0% by weight of at least one polysaccharide, as well as production and application methods and uses thereof.

A method of providing a treatment for cleaning and removing oils from hair includes providing a cosmetic that includes a blend of a powder phase including at least two absorbents selected from the group of mica, silica, starch, talc, kaolin and zeolite, and at least one emollient with a solvent phase. The blended powder and solvent phases are formed into a dry shampoo product adapted for manual application to the hair. A porous mold may be used to provide the cosmetic. Techniques may be applied to other forms of cosmetic compositions.

Described herein is a granulated dry composition comprising at least one non-elastomeric polyorganosiloxane, agglomerated onto solid carrier particles. The granulated dry compositions can be used as a dry cleanser for keratinous substrates with high speed of absorption of body fluids together with improved sensory feel and release of care agents.

A subject of the present invention is an anhydrous composition comprising:

a) at least particles encapsulating at least one beneficial agent, the particles being able to release the beneficial agent in the presence of water;
b) at least one sebum-absorbing powder with a sebum uptake of greater than or equal to 35 ml/100 g, and/or at least one styling powder other than the particles encapsulating at least one beneficial agent;
c) optionally a propellant.

A subject of the present invention is also to a process for the dry-washing and cosmetic treatment of keratin materials, comprising a step of applying the composition to the hair.

An objective of the present invention is to provide a solid powder cosmetic excellent in impact resistance and usability despite that boron nitride and spherical resin particle are blended in a large amount. The present invention provides a solid powder cosmetic comprising: 12-30 mass % of synthetic fluorphlogopite iron; 5-15 mass % of boron nitride; and 5-15 mass % of phenyl-modified silicone spherical elastic powder.

Described herein is a hair care composition including from about 0.01% to about 20% of a lipid being one or more unsaturated fatty materials chosen from unsaturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty alcohols, and mixtures thereof. The unsaturated fatty material has a Log P of less than 8. The hair care composition also includes from about 0.01% to about 10% of a fatty acid monoester of a polyol, a saturated fatty alcohol, an ester of a saturated fatty alcohol, and mixtures thereof. The molecule of the fatty acid component of the fatty acid monoester includes a linear or a branched carbon chain with 10 to 22 carbon atoms. The fatty acid monoester of a polyol has a log P of less than 8. The molecule of the fatty alcohol includes a linear or branched carbon chain with 8 to 22 carbon atoms. The hair care composition also includes a non-aqueous volatile solvent.

Embodiments herein are directed to moisturizing compositions comprising interpenetrating polymer networks, methods of making moisturizing compositions and methods of using moisturizing compositions.

Particles having excellent touch properties are achieved with a water-soluble material having excellent biodegradability. Particles according to the present invention contain a starch having an amylopectin content of 90% by weight or more. The average particle diameter d.sub.1 of the panicles is 0.5 to 20 μm, and the maximum particle diameter d.sub.2 is less than 30 μm while being within 3.0 times the average particle diameter.

The invention relates especially to a composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising an inner fatty phase and an outer aqueous phase and containing: a) at least 0.01% by weight and preferably at least 0.05% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one inulin modified with hydrophobic chains, and b) at least 0.05% by weight and preferably at least 0.1% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one thickening polysaccharide of plant origin, the said composition being free of silicones. The invention also relates to a cosmetic process using the said composition.
