A TANNING COMPOSITION
The invention provides a tanning composition for oral administration by humans, the composition being a chewable pastille comprising:
(i) a chewable base comprising a gelling agent and a sugar and/or sugar alcohol; and
(ii) one or more skin colour-promoting agents.
The sugar is typically a mixture of glucose and sucrose.
The gelling agent may be is selected from gelatin, pectin, agar, alginate and carrageenan, and mixtures thereof.
The skin colour-promoting agents may comprise one or more of the carotenoids -carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, lutein and astaxanthin, tyrosine, PABA and copper.
Elastic cosmetic masks and methods for treating skin
The instant disclosure relates to masks, methods for making masks, methods for improving film elasticity of masks, and to methods of treating skin with masks. The masks are formed by applying a mask base composition onto a surface, the mask base composition comprising: (i) alginic acid and/or a salt thereof; (ii) hectorite (lithium magnesium sodium silicate); (iii) one or more water-soluble solvents; and (iv) water; and exposing the mask base composition to a crosslinking composition for a time sufficient to crosslink the alginic acid and/or a salt thereof and form a final mask, the crosslinking composition being an aqueous liquid comprising (i) one or more polyvalent cations of one or more metals; and (ii) water. The instant disclosure further relates to masks formed by the disclosed methods and to kits comprising the compositions for making and/or using the masks.
Preparation for oral cavity
The present invention provides a preparation for attaching to teeth or tooth peripheries. The preparation for attaching to teeth or tooth peripheries of the present invention can give high adhesive force to the desired site despite interproximal space or curves of teeth. It is easy to hand while controlling drug release.
METHOD OF MAKING A CLEAR PERSONAL CARE COMPRISING MICROCAPSULES
The invention relates to a method of making a personal care composition, the method comprising steps of: providing a mixer comprising a housing comprising a first fluid inlet, a second inlet, and a fluid outlet, the mixer further rotor rotatably connected with the housing, the rotor comprising blades positioned within the housing to define cells between neighboring blades and the housing; preparing a personal care chassis base comprising surfactants and water; preparing a microcapsule composition comprising microcapsules, and air; advancing personal care chassis base along a flow path from the first fluid inlet toward the fluid outlet; transferring the microcapsule composition from the second inlet to the flow path by rotating the rotor; directing air in the microcapsule composition from inside the cells toward the second inlet; combining the microcapsule composition with the personal care chassis base to form the personal care composition; and advancing the personal care composition from the outlet. The microcapsule composition may further comprise an aqueous carrier including, but not limited to, water. The personal care composition can be transported to a filling line and filled through a filling nozzle into a bottle.
Biologic preserving composition and methods of use
Disclosed herein are compositions, methods, and systems for treating skin damage or signs of aging in a subject including obtaining whole blood from the subject, collecting platelet rich plasma (PRP) from the whole blood, forming a first topical formulation having the PRP, providing the first topical formulation to the subject for application to an area of skin damage on the subject, providing a second topical formulation to the subject having an activator such that when the second topical formulation is applied to the area of skin damage on top of the first formulation, the PRP is activated and growth factors are released into the area of skin damage. Systems and kits useful in performing the methods are also disclosed.
COATED GRANULES PRODUCED BY IN-SITU CROSSLINKING PROCESS
Described are compositions and methods relating to a coated granule comprising a core coated with cross-linkable polymer, where the cross-linkable polymer is applied using a feed suspension that includes an acid-neutralized volatile base and a calcium salt insoluble at the pH of the neutralized feed suspension. Volatilization of the base decreases the pH of the feed suspension, thereby solubilizing the calcium salt, and inducing in situ ion-mediated cross-linking of the cross-linkable polymer.
CARBON DIOXIDE EXTERNAL PREPARATION
Provided is a nonaqueous carbon dioxide external preparation in single dosage form, the external preparation comprising a paste base, carbonate, an acid and/or a substance which produces an acid by hydrolysis, and alcohol. Merely by being applied onto skin, this external preparation is useful due to obtaining the effect of a specific action of carbon dioxide.
Disintegrating oral tablet suitable for active pharmaceutical ingredients
The invention relates to a disintegrating oral tablet suitable for active pharmaceutical ingredients comprising a population of particles and at least one flavor ingredient, the population of particles comprising directly compressible (DC) and non-directly compressible (non-DC) sugar alcohol particles, the non-DC particles providing the tablet with a plurality of discrete non-DC areas, and the non-DC areas resulting in a burst of the at least one flavor ingredient upon mastication of the tablet.
Adhesive patch
The present invention relates to an adhesive patch. The adhesive patch includes a plurality of reliefs, each relief having a flat top face, and each micro channel groove defined between adjacent reliefs of the plurality of reliefs, wherein the plurality of reliefs and the micro channel groove are respectively formed on and defined the adhesive patch, and wherein a hydrogel layer is disposed on at least a portion of a bottom face of the micro channel groove and is contained in the groove. Therefore, the adhesive patch is well-adhered to a dry or wet adhered face.
Hair treatment method and kit thereof
Method for treating hair comprising the successive application onto hair of polymeric layers which can be removed to a large extent or even totally in an easy manner upon request of the user by using a composition having a pH less than 7.
