Valve with fail-safe device
A power operated valve for controlling fluid flow is provided with a fail-safe device responsive to failure of the power supply to the valve to shut-off fluid flow. A valve member is coupled to linear actuator for movement towards and away from a closed position for controlling fluid flow through the valve. The linear actuator is held in a control position by the fail-safe device for normal operation of the valve with the power supply on. The fail-safe device responds to failure of the power supply to release the linear actuator. When the linear actuator is released, energy stored n a spring while the linear actuator was held in the control position is released and biases the linear actuator away from the control position causing the valve member to move to the closed position to shut-off fluid flow.
WATER LEAK DETECTION AND PREVENTION DEVICE
A water leak detection and prevention device comprised of a leak detection apparatus positioned near a water-dependent appliance to monitor for moisture due to a leak, and a leak prevention system connected to the leak detection apparatus in fluid communication with a water pipe attached to the water-dependent appliance and positioned in-line with the water pipe is disclosed.
Intelligent control faucet
An intelligent control faucet includes a faucet that includes a manual operation valve, an intelligent control module, a water egress tube, a cold water ingress tube, a hot water ingress tube, and a magnetic reed detection device. The water egress tube, the cold water ingress tube, and the hot water ingress tube are connected to the manual operation valve. The intelligent control module is connected, in a series manner, to the water egress tube. The magnetic reed detection device is mounted to the water egress tube and is connected through a feeding cable or directly to the intelligent control module. Water flow can be established or cut off through pulling the water egress tube so that the use is made easy.
Autonomous downhole conveyance system
A tool assembly is provided that includes an actuatable tool such as a valve or a setting tool. And includes a location device that senses the location of the tool assembly within a tubular body based on a physical signature. The tool assembly also includes an on-board controller configured to send an activation signal to the actuatable tool when the location device has recognized a selected location of the tool based on the physical signature. The actuatable tool, the location device, and the on-board controller are together dimensioned and arranged to be deployed in the wellbore as an autonomous unit.
Seismically responsive utilities control system with occupancy activation mechanism
A utilities control system with a DC powered control system located within a building or room and having in combination an occupant activation device, a seismic sensor and a wireless transmitter; a wireless receiver in combination with a utilities shut-off device, and whereby upon either a change in status of the occupant activation device or the sensing of a seismic event by the seismic sensor, a signal is transmitted from the wireless transmitter to the wireless receiver such that the utilities shut-off device is activated to stop delivery of utilities.
MAGNETIC DOCKING FAUCET
A faucet includes a spout; a sprayhead that is moveable relative to the spout between a docked position and an undocked position; a magnet associated with the spout and having a bore; and a magnetically responsive collar associated with the sprayhead and moveable relative to the magnet in an axial direction as the sprayhead moves between the docked and undocked positions. In the docked position, magnetic forces between the magnet and the collar attract a center of the collar to align with a center of the magnet in the axial direction with the collar in the bore of the magnet.
FLOOD PREVENTION DEVICE
A flood prevention device comprising a first solenoid valve, an input on the first solenoid valve designed to attach to and receive fluid flow from a mainline water or gas source; a wiring harness to electrically connect the first solenoid valve to an appliance control unit, and a first supply hose, with a first end attached to an output of the first solenoid valve and a second end designed to attach to and deliver fluid to an appliance.
Modular sensor activated faucet
A modular sensor activated faucet assembly provides a spout that can be coupled and removed from its mounting base quickly and easily for installation and service. A water tight connection can be established between the mounting base and the spout without the use of tools or additional mechanical connections, thus allowing the spout to be installed by simply plugging into its base. A seamless spout construction defining a hollow interior bifurcated by integral internal wall structure provides a wet chamber between its mounting end and the outlet and a flow pipe inside the spout. The modular base provides a cooperating flow pipe. When the spout is mounted onto the base, the flow pipes are configured to nest together in close relation such that one or more seals can be disposed between the flow pipes to provide a water tight seal between the spout and base.
Electronic flow sensor
A safety shut-off device is provided for a liquid gas system for vehicles and/or vehicle trailers, in order to avoid an inadvertent release of gas. The device includes an electromagnetic gas valve for supplying/shutting off the gas, an electronic unit for activating the electromagnetic gas valve, and a flow sensor for determining a current gas flow being discharged from a storage tank. Furthermore, the device includes an evaluation unit for comparing the current gas flow to a previous gas flow or to a gas flow which is indicated by the gas consumers and is to be expected. If, during use, the evaluation unit determines a current gas flow which differs by more than a maximum permissible rate of change from the previous gas flow or from an expected gas flow, the electromagnetic gas valve is activated via the electric unit in order to shut off the supply of gas.
