RAPID-CONNECT COUPLER WITH VENT-STOP
A rapid-connect coupler includes a coupler body configured to convey a fluid; a coupling head at a first end of and communicating with the coupler body, the coupling head configured to transition between a coupled configuration and a de-coupled configuration. The coupler may further include a stop apparatus configured to allow the coupling head to transition from the de-coupled configuration to the coupled configuration without obstruction, and the stop apparatus may be configured to provide a hard-stop as the coupling head transitions from the coupled configuration to the de-coupled configuration.
Friction-Welded Pipe Repair
In some implementations, an apparatus includes a container having an exterior surface, having an interior surface and having a defect, a gasket positioned over the defect in the container, the gasket having a length, a width and a depth, a rigid patch positioned over the gasket, a plurality of pairs of studs and nuts positioned near the outer perimeter of the rigid patch, the studs being friction welded to the exterior of the container.
CODED CARTRIDGE HOLDER AND FASTENER ENABLED BY CARTRIDGE SIZE
A coded cartridge holder for use with a drug delivery device is provided. The cartridge holder includes a fastener that becomes operative based in part on a length of a cartridge or a diameter of the cartridge. In one embodiment, the cartridge holder is coupled to the drug delivery device. The cartridge holder comprises a first blocking feature. The drug delivery device includes a cartridge detector comprising a second blocking feature. This feature may be a pin, for engagement with the first blocking feature of the cartridge holder when the cartridge acts on the cartridge detector. The cartridge holder may further include a fastening mechanism configured to fasten the cartridge holder to the drug delivery device only when the second blocking feature engages the first blocking feature.
Valve assembly having improved rotational feel
A valve assembly includes a valve housing having an internal generally cup-shaped bore, a valve control cartridge inserted into the bore and having a rotatable control stem extending upwardly therefrom, and a bonnet nut having a through-bore. The bonnet nut is threaded to the valve housing such that the control stem extends through the through-bore. Flexible fingers are provided along the through-bore to control a level of resistance to a rotation of the rotatable control stem. The stem is positioned to frictionally engage the flexible fingers as the stem is rotated.
Cyclonic system for enhanced separation of fluid samples and the like, and method therefore
A cyclonic filter separator with liquid block capabilities formed to separate liquids in a fluid stream for on-stream and spot sampling of natural gas or the like, particularly pressurized process gas having liquid entrained therein, otherwise referenced as multiphase or wet. The present invention incorporates a liquid block apparatus downstream the cyclonic separator to provide to further prevent liquid passing therethrough, ensuring a dry gas sample stream for analysis or the like. A coalescing membrane may be situated intermediate the cyclonic separator and the liquid block, which coalescing membrane may further be linked to the liquid block such that differential pressure associated with the operative state of the membrane causes the liquid block to engage, blocking the flow of fluid therethrough.
Flow channel module and chromatograph provided with the flow channel module
A flow channel module comprises a flow channel plate, a flow channel connection block, and a pressing mechanism. The flow channel plate is provided with a main body and a protrusion section protruding in the circumferential direction from the peripheral edge of the main body, the protrusion section having a port communicating with an inner flow channel. The flow channel connection block is provided with a concave section for being engaged with the protrusion section and having inside a port facing surface for facing the port, and an outer flow channel connection section that is connected to the port facing surface by a flow channel. The pressing mechanism is configured to press the protrusion section inserted in the concave section and the port facing surface against each other so that the flow channel and the port are connected while maintaining air tightness or liquid tightness.
WAFER SCOOP ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A bidirectional scoop assembly is shown that is mountable to a pipeline for taking samples from the pipeline. A wafer flange is mounted in said pipeline surrounding the fluid flow through the pipeline. A first tubular is extendable through a first side of the wafer flange to receive a sample from the pipeline. A second tubular is extendable through a second side of the wafer flange to receive a sample from the pipeline. The first tubular and second tubular are positioned adjacent each other whereby at least a portion of a first opening of the first tubular and at least a portion of a second opening of the second tubular are axially aligned or parallel to a flow axis of the pipeline.
Valve access conduit assembly and method of installing the assembly
The combination of: an underground valve for a supply line and having an underground actuator through which a state of the valve can be changed to control flow within the supply line; and a conduit assembly embedded in ground material and defining an access passage through which above ground access can be obtained to the valve actuator. The conduit assembly has a housing defining a cavity in which at least a portion of the valve resides. The conduit assembly further has a valve base assembly configured to interact with: a) the housing; and b) at least one of: i) the valve; and ii) the supply line to maintain a desired relationship between the housing and the at least one of: i) the valve; and ii) the supply line.
Apparatus and method of a pneumatic motor propulsion source
A pneumatic motor propulsion source including a friction welding apparatus, a gas accumulator tank operably coupled to the friction welding apparatus, and an air compressor operably coupled to the gas accumulator tank.
Plurality of Studs being Friction Welded to an Exterior Surface of a Storage Tank having a Block Patch and a Member between the Exterior Surface and the Studs
In some implementations, an apparatus includes a curved portion of a storage tank having an exterior surface, having an interior surface and having a defect, the apparatus also includes a steel patch positioned over the curved portion of a storage tank, a plurality of studs and nuts positioned near an outer perimeter of the steel patch, in which the plurality of studs being friction welded to the exterior surface of the curved portion of a storage tank.
