Cosmetic kit for protecting the skin against UV rays
The present invention relates to a method for protecting the skin against UV rays, using two cosmetic compositions for protecting against UV rays, the sun protection indices of which are different from each other, this method consisting in applying to the skin, before or during exposure to sunlight, a first composition having a certain sun protection index, and then in applying, during exposure to sunlight, onto the residual deposit of the first composition, the second cosmetic composition having a sun protection index lower than that of the first composition. This method advantageously makes it possible to not reapply the first composition, but to use a second product that is much more pleasant to use, while at the same time obtaining the level of protection afforded by the deposit of the initial first composition. The invention also relates to a sun protection kit comprising a first composition for protecting against UV rays having a sun protection index of greater than or equal to 30, and at least a second cosmetic composition for protecting against UV rays, having a sun protection index of less than or equal to 20, the two compositions being packaged separately.
COVALENT TREATMENT FOR KERATIN-CONTAINING MATERIALS
Disclosed are methods of grafting monomeric and polymeric materials on keratin-containing material to provide a covalent coating on keratin-containing material. A mixture comprising a reducing agent is applied to the keratin-containing material sample. The keratin-containing material sample then comprises a plurality of free thiol groups. A monomer is applied to the keratin-containing material sample. The free thiol groups react with the monomer to form a plurality of covalent bonds between the free thiol groups and the monomers. The reducing agent and the monomer can be applied separately, semi-simultaneously, or simultaneously. The disclosed methods can be carried out with or without catalyst. The disclosed methods can be carried out with or without an additive.
SKIN PERFECTING COMPOSITIONS
The instant disclosure relates to skin perfecting compositions and method for perfecting the look of skin. The skin perfecting compositions include: (a) one or more hydrophilic film-forming polymers; (b) one or more mineral clays; (c) one or more particulate fillers; (d) water; and (e) optionally, one or more fibers or Water-soluble organic solvents, skin active agents, etc. can also be included in the skin perfecting compositions. The compositions are particularly useful for smoothing the skin, for example, by filling or covering wrinkles, divots, scarring, or other imperfections of the skin.
Sachet Formulation for Amine Polymers
A powder formulation comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable anionic stabilizer and an aliphatic amine polymer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof mixed with the anionic stabilizer. The powder formulation is conveniently packaged in a container, such as a sachet. A method of treating a subject with hyperphosphotemia with the powder formulation is also disclosed.
SUNSCREEN COMPOSITIONS WITH IMPROVED WATER RESISTANCE OF UVA SUNSCREEN ACTIVE AGENTS
Sunscreen compositions, products and methods that include at least one UVA sunscreen active agent, at least one UVB sunscreen active agent, and one or more water insoluble film forming polymers. The compositions, products and methods may further include one or more active or inactive cosmetic ingredients. The water insoluble film forming polymers synergistically affect the UVA and UVB sunscreen active agents, in particularly the UVA sunscreen active agents by significantly enhancing the water resistance of the UVA sunscreen active agents after water exposure as determined by the SPF and UVAPF values measured before and after water exposure.
Microcapsules containing a gas-generating photolabile polymer and uses thereof
The present invention relates to water-dispersable microcapsules comprising an oil phase, e.g. a perfume, containing a photolabile polymer comprising -ketoacid or -ketoester group capable of generating a gas upon exposure to light. The gas is able to cause an extension or the breaking of the microcapsule allowing the release of the oil phase and thus increasing the long-lastingness of the odor perception. The present invention concerns also the use of said microcapsules in perfumery as well as perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's microcapsules to provide a prolonged release of fragrant molecules.
HYDROXY ACIDS FOR SCALP AND HAIR IN PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITIONS
A personal care composition comprising from 2% to 10% of an anionic surfactant; from 0.5% to 5% of a hydroxy acid selected from the group consisting of salicylic acid in combination with citric acid; wherein the personal cleansing composition has a pH of about 2.5 to about 5.5.
Cosmetic composition containing exosomes extracted from stem cell for skin whitening, antiwrinkle or regeneration
A cosmetic composition for skin whitening, wrinkle improvement or skin regeneration includes, as an active ingredient, exosomes derived from stem cells comprising proliferating stem cells.
CLEAVABLE COMONOMER STRATEGY FOR ACCELERATING REMOVAL OF GEL NAIL POLISH
The present invention provides polymer compositions for use in cosmetic nail polish compositions. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to the introduction of cleavable conomoner additives into an existing polymer composition to produce a chemically deconstructable composition. Methods and compositions for removing the nail polish composition are also disclosed.
