Disclosed are adhesives comprising a first compound comprising three or more 1,2-dihydroxybenzene groups; and a second compound that is a functionalized polymer; wherein the first compound and second compound are in the form of a mixture, and wherein the adhesive has adhesive properties when wet. Additional embodiments to methods of preparing an adhesive, adhesives prepared by the method, and articles prepared from the adhesive are disclosed.

A stable sprayable cosmetic composition that includes at least one mineral UV filter; at least one oil phase rheology modifier; and water; wherein the cosmetic composition is a water-in-oil composition and wherein the viscosity at shear rate of about 1000 (1/s) is lower than about 110 mPa.Math.s. The cosmetic composition can be sprayed without requiring to be mixed with propellant.

The present invention relates to an oil-in-water type cosmetic composition which includes an oil phase containing at least one selected from the group consisting of general oil, silicon oil and a gelling agent; and a water phase containing carbomer, PVA and purified water. An oil-in-water type cosmetic composition provided in the present invention contains oil particles including oil and water components, thereby improving visual aesthetic sense and maintaining the stability of emulsified particles even without any surfactant and emulsifier, so as to prevent a coalesce with other oils and also maximize an overall feeling of use, including spreadability and absorbency when applied to the skin due to low hardness. In addition, the composition does not contain any surfactant and emulsifier and thus minimize an irritation to the skin.

Provided is a liquid skin external composition which allows a poorly water-soluble component to be applied to a skin in a liquid state. An assembly of fiber for use in production of a liquid skin external composition, the assembly of fiber comprising (a) a polymer soluble in water and an alcohol or a ketone in a content of 50 mass % or more and 98 mass % or less with respect to the whole assembly of fiber and (b) a poorly water-soluble component in a content of 2 mass % or more and 40 mass % or less with respect to the whole assembly of fiber.
