A machine tool clamping device for releasably holding a tool holder having a tapered shank and a knob protruding from the tapered shank, the clamping device having: a spindle, rotatable about an axis, and having a tapered socket at a lower end thereof and an axial passage, the tapered socket being complementary in shape to the shank of a tool holder. Clamping members are pinned to the spindle and extend into the axial passage, the clamping members being pivotal between a clamped position in which the clamping members clamp the tool holder knob, and an unclamped position in which the clamping members release the tool holder knob. A drawbar is slidable within the spindle axial passage between the clamping members, the drawbar having a surface that acts to pivot the clamping members between the clamped and unclamped positions depending on the position of the drawbar within the axial passage. A spring is arranged between the drawbar and the spindle to bias the drawbar to the clamped position.

Rotating log clamp

A rotating log saw clamp for clamping a product roll to be sawn. The rotating log saw clamp includes a first portion disposed for rotation about an axis and a second portion disposed for rotation with the first portion and movable relative to the first portion between an open position and a clamping position. The second portion is rotatable from the clamping position to the open position by relative rotation of the first and second rotating portions.

In a substrate processing apparatus, a shield plate includes a first chucking magnetic material (441). The shield plate is moved up and down by a chamber opening-and-closing mechanism. A substrate holding part includes a movable chuck member (412) and a fixed chuck member. The movable chuck member (412) includes a second chucking magnetic material (442). When the shield plate is moved down, the shield plate comes in close proximity to the upper surface of a substrate (9), and the first chucking magnetic material (441) comes in close proximity to the second chucking magnetic material (442). The substrate (9) is held by magnetic action between the first chucking magnetic material (441) and the second chucking magnetic material (442). It is thus possible to hold the substrate (9) with a simple structure.

Apparatus and method for aligning and centering wafers

A device for locating and engaging a notch on the perimeter of a circular wafer includes a notch locating component and a first plate. The notch locating component is configured to move linearly along a first axis and includes a front elongated component extending along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis and having a front surface, a back surface opposite to the front surface and a first protrusion extending from the front surface of the elongated component. The first protrusion has a shape complementing the shape of a notch formed on the perimeter of a circular wafer. As the notch locating component is driven toward the perimeter of the circular wafer along the first axis, a distance between the back surface of the elongated component and a front surface of the first plate is measured and the value of the measured distance is used to determine engagement of the first protrusion with the notch.

Oscillating Tool

A clamp arrangement for securing an accessory to an oscillating power tool can include a clamp assembly including a first clamp member that moves relative to the accessory between a closed position wherein the clamp assembly retains the accessory and an open position wherein the first clamp is offset from the accessory permitting removal of the first accessory from the clamp assembly. The clamp assembly can further comprise a second clamp member having a first portion that opposes the first clamp member and cooperates with the first clamp member to clamp the accessory between the first and second clamp members. An attachment plate can carry the clamp assembly. The attachment plate can have a first mating detail formed thereon that is configured to selectively and removably mate with a complementary second mating detail on the power tool in an assembled position.
