APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CURLING EYELASHES
20240122325 · 2024-04-18 ·

An eyelash curling device includes a mechanical eyelash curler and a carrier strip. The mechanical eyelash curler includes a first portion and a second portion configured to move relative to one another. The first portion includes an upper jaw. The second portion includes a lower jaw. The movement of the first and second portions relative to one another causes the upper and lower jaws to move from a first position in which the upper and lower jaws are located at a distance from one another and a second position in which the upper and lower jaws are in contact with one another. The carrier strip is coupled to at least one of the upper and lower jaws. The carrier strip includes at least one active agent therein on thereon. The at least one active agent is configured to aid in retaining a curl in eyelashes when it contacts the eyelashes.

BLOCK COPOLYMERS DERVIED FROM SHORT AND LONG ALKYL CHAIN ACRYLATES OR ACRYLAMIDES AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF

The invention provides non-crosslinked and crosslinked block copolymers comprising at least one block A comprising repeating units derived from monomers comprising one or more C.sub.1-C.sub.3 alkyl (meth)acrylamides and/or (meth)acrylates and at least one block B comprising repeating units derived from monomers comprising one or more C.sub.4-C.sub.40 alkyl (meth)acrylamides. The invention further provides compositions comprising the block copolymers and applications thereof in various industrial areas including personal care. The invention furthermore provides compositions comprising colloidal particles of the block copolymers. The variables x, y, R.sub.1, and R.sub.2 are described herein.

NAIL COMPOSITION CONTAINING DISPERSION OF ACRYLIC POLYMER PARTICLES
20240115485 · 2024-04-11 ·

A nail composition including a base composition and a dispersion of acrylic polymer particles. The dispersion of acrylic polymer particles is a dispersion of C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer particles stabilized with a stabilizer in a hydrocarbon oil, where the stabilizer is selected from the group consisting of: isobornyl (meth)acrylate homopolymers and statistical copolymers of isobornyl (meth)acrylate and of C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate. The nail composition does not comprise a UV-curable material.

Water in oil emulsions with high water content

The present invention generally relates to a water-in-oil emulsion comprising at least one oil-soluble polar modified polymer and at least one polylysine, wherein the emulsion has a high water content.

Agent and method for the temporary deformation of keratin-containing fibers

A cosmetic composition for the temporary shaping of keratinic fibers, containing: a) at least one non-crosslinked, hydrophobically modified (meth)acrylic acid copolymer b) at least one, at least partially imidized maleic anhydride copolymer,
its use and method using such a composition.

Aluminum-Free Antiperspirant / Deodorant Compositions

An aluminum-free antiperspirant/deodorant composition in the form of stick, cream, or flowable gel includes a carrier that includes a polyhydric alcohol or is a mixture of a polyhydric alcohol and water; a thickening agent including a C.sub.14-22 fatty acid salt; and an antiperspirant active and optionally a film-forming polymer dispersed in the carrier. The antiperspirant active is primarily a zinc-based antiperspirant active.

RAZOR CARTRIDGE WITH LUBRICATING STRIP

The disclosure deals with a lubricative skin engaging member with progressive release of lubricating polymer from a water-insoluble matrix containing thermoplastic elastomer compound and maleic anhydride copolymer and lubricating polymer in concentration less than 30%. The disclosure lies in the use of the maleic anhydride in grafted form on polyethylene and the incorporation of water-soluble lubricating polymer in concentration less than 30% in the thermoplastic elastomer compound, leading to a lubricative mixture, and to a skin engaging member, with increased homogeneity and water absorption ability that assist in the lubricating polymer release in a progressive and controllable manner.

Oral care compositions

Described herein are oral care compositions comprising (i) a magnesium alkali metal silicate complex clay, and (ii) an orally acceptable anionic polymer, in a dentifrice base, which compositions are useful for alleviating dental sensitivity. Also provided for, are methods of making and using the compositions described herein.

UV-absorbing polymers and formulations thereof

UV-absorbing polymers are provided that have at least one anhydride repeating unit that is covalently attached to at least one UV-absorbing moiety selected from the group consisting of functionalized dibenzoylmethanes, benzophenone sulfonamides, triphenyl triazines, and combinations thereof. Also provided are formulations comprising the UV-absorbing polymers.
