Oral care compositions and methods of use

This invention relates to oral care compositions comprising a zinc source comprising zinc oxide and zinc citrate; a stannous source comprising stannous pyrophosphate; a fluoride ion source comprising sodium fluoride; and an organic buffer, as well as to methods of using and of making these compositions.

Cleansing Compositions

Described herein, are personal care compositions comprising a surfactant system; an amino acid, e.g. taurine; and a deposition aid comprising a PVM/MA copolymer having a M.W. of from about 30,000 to about 1,000,000, or a vinylimidazolium vinyl pyrrolidone copolymer. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.

The present disclosure relates to hair care compositions for chemically treating hair, to kits comprising the compositions, and to methods for treating hair with the compositions. The compositions include one or more polymeric acid compounds and/or polymeric acid anhydride compounds in addition to one or more active agents for chemically treating the hair. Additionally, the compositions can optionally include one or more non-polymeric, mono-, di-, and/or tri-carboxylic acids and/or one or more mono- and/or di-amines and/or polyamines. Hair treated with the compositions exhibits improved softness, smoothness, and discipline.

DENTIFRICE COMPRISING CARBOXYLIC ACID OR ALKALI METAL SALT THEREOF AND A SOURCE OF FREE FLUORIDE IONS

A dentifrice composition is described comprising a carboxylic acid or alkai metal salt thereof, a source of free fluoride ions and optionally a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether with maleic anhydride or acid. Importantly the dentifrice composition is mildly acidic, having a slurry pH in the range greater than 5.0 to less than 6.5. The composition enhances fluoride uptake into teeth and provides protection against acidic challenges.

A dentifrice composition is described comprising a source of free fluoride ions; and from 0.1% to less than 0.5% by weight of the composition of a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether with maleic anhydride or acid; and wherein the composition has a slurry pH from 6.0 to 7.5, and wherein the composition is free of a carboxylic acid or alkali metal salt thereof wherein the acid is selected from the group consisting of malonic acid, glutaric acid, tartaric acid, lactic acid and mixtures thereof. The composition enhances fluoride uptake into teeth and provides protection against acidic challenges.

A water-rinsable, aqueous cleansing formulation may include a cosmetic oily component. The formulation may foam and remain stable despite the presence of a cosmetic oily component, even when the oily component is present in potentially substantial amounts.

Stannous Salt And Sodium Tripolyphosphate Oral Care Compositions And Methods

Oral care compositions containing a stannous salt and sodium tripolyphosphate are provided where stannous tripolyphosphate ionic intermediates comprise less than about 1% of the compositions. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, a methylvinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer and/or a silica oral polishing agent may be added for further efficacy. In a single phase blend, the oral care composition may be effectively limited to comprise less than about 10% water. In a dual-phase blend, a mixture having the stannous salt in a first phase and the sodium tripolyphosphate in a second phase may be generated from a dual chamber storage tube (with each phase provided from a separate chamber) immediately prior to dental care usage.

The present invention relates to a microneedle comprising a plurality of portions, wherein the plurality of portions comprise a distal end portion and a proximal end portion, at least two of the plurality of portions are made of different polymers, and the distal end portion is made of at least one polymer with high swellability and high viscoelasticity.

Preparation for attaching to teeth or surrounding part of teeth

The present invention provides a preparation for attaching to teeth or tooth peripheries, which comprises a malleable oral composition and an active ingredient for intra-oral delivery. Further, the present invention provides a preparation for attaching to teeth or tooth peripheries, which comprises an oral composition in a hardening ointment-phase and an active ingredient for intra-oral delivery. The preparation of the present invention may give high adhesive force to the desired site in spite of gaps between teeth or curves of teeth. The preparation of the present invention having high adhesive force increases the time of adhesion to a target site in the oral cavity, and thus may be advantageous in achieving an intended effect.
