The actuating lever (8) can be disengaged from the locking mechanism by means of the locking device (21). An additional motor vehicle door lock (2) is provided, and said vehicle door lock (2) can be actuated by means of the actuating lever (8). The actuating lever chain to the additional motor vehicle lock (2) can be disengaged by means of the locking device (21).

Self-aligning modular latch

A container is disclosed that has a housing and a lid. The lid has a planar portion and a latch that is freely movable parallel to the planar portion of the lid. The latch has a retention feature and a first reference surface that is perpendicular to the planar portion of the lid. There is a latch mechanism coupled to the housing that has an engagement element configured to engage the retention feature of the latch and a first alignment feature having a first alignment surface. The first alignment feature is configured to laterally displace the latch in a first direction such that the first reference surface aligns with the first alignment surface when the lid is brought together with the housing with the fastener laterally displaced away from the engagement element in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction.

Securing Apparatus and Method

A securing apparatus is provided for securing, in one embodiment, a plurality of enclosures, such as for example, a plurality of electric meter boxes, the apparatus being mountable to the at least one of the plurality of enclosures. The securing apparatus comprises an enclosure locking member which includes at least a bracket arm, a fastening member and a housing mountable to at least one enclosure; the securing apparatus further comprises a securing member having first and second ends, with the securing member including at least a securing bar and a coupling member being moveably attachable to the securing bar, wherein the coupling member is pivotably mateable with the extended flange of the enclosure locking member.

SASH WINDOW RESTRICTOR

A sash window restrictor (20) has a housing (22) which is to be let into a vertical frame member (10) of one sash (normally the upper, outer sash) of a window, at a position, say, 10 cm above the top rail of the lower sash when the windows are closed. A tab (24) is mounted in the housing and can be retracted into the housing or extended from the housing. A mechanism acts between the tab and the housing and allows the tab to be pressed into the housing and held in the housing for a period of time before the tab is released to allow the tab to extend. With the tab extended, the lower sash (12) can be lifted until it reaches the tab (24) but no further, so that a 10 cm gap will be opened at the bottom of the window.

The invention relates to an actuating device for opening a door or flap, comprising a movably supported inertial mass (7, 9) for avoiding unintentional opening of the door or flap in the event that a specified acceleration is exceeded. Levers are provided for moving the inertial mass (7, 9). When the inertial mass (7, 9) is moved out of an initial position of the inertial mass, the lever ratios change in such a way that the force progression is thereby promoted. In the event of a crash, the opening of a door or flap is avoided by means of the actuating device. The actuating device can nevertheless be actuated relatively comfortably with low expenditure of energy.

Vehicle door latch device

In a vehicle door latch device, a latch engages with a striker of a vehicle body and a ratchet engages with the latch, so that a vehicle door is closed, and an inside operating lever and a childproof lock mechanism are disposed between a cover and a casing. To connect the childproof lock mechanism to the casing, the inside operating lever is held in an assembling position and the childproof lock mechanism is held in its locking state or in its unlocking state. The cover has a covering portion over a broader portion of a hole in the cover.
