Compositions and methods for improving the appearance of the skin
The disclosure relates to compositions and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. Compositions comprise at least one thermoplastic elastomer, at least one adhesive polymer, and at least one filler. Methods comprise applying the compositions to the skin to tighten the skin or hide skin imperfections by forming a film on the skin.
COSMETIC EMULSION COMPRISING HYDROPHOBIC POLYMER
The instant disclosure is drawn to a cosmetic or personal care composition comprising: (a) hydrophobic polymer formed as a reaction product of a natural or food-derived oil and a methacrylate or acrylate polymer; (b) one or more solvents capable of solubilizing the hydrophobic polymer; (c) one or more surfactants; and (d) water. The cosmetic or personal care composition is preferably in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion. Methods for making and using the compositions are also disclosed.
Topical sunscreen
Provided herein is a topical sunscreen composition that includes an external sunscreen agent, one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, and at least one of a cannabinoid, terpene, and flavonoid. Also provided is a method that includes topically administering to a skin surface of a subject (e.g., human) the topical sunscreen composition.
COSMETIC USE OF PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY HYDROGENATED POLYFARNESENES, AND METHOD FOR THE COSMETIC TREATMENT OF HAIR
The invention relates to the use of a composition (C) comprising, for 100% of the weight thereof, from 10% by weight to 90% by weight of at least one poly(farnesene) polymer having a number-average molecular weight of greater than or equal to 10,000 g/mol and less than or equal to 120,000 g/mol, said poly(farnesene) polymer being partially or totally hydrogenated and/or functionalized with hydroxyl radicals, andfrom 10% by weight to 90% by weight of a mixture (M) of hydrocarbons in which at last 94% by weight of said hydrocarbons comprise from 15 to 19 carbon atoms, for preventing and/or slowing the appearance of unattractive effects on human hair following exposure to intense heat. The invention also relates to a method for drying and shaping the hair, using said composition.
Cosmetic composition for lips with improved glossiness and degree of color smudging
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for lips with improved glossiness and an improved degree of color smudging. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for lips which contains a hydrogenated styrene/isoprene copolymer, a VP/hexadecene copolymer, and a silsesquioxane resin as active ingredients and thus has improved glossiness on the lips as well as suppressed color smudging, namely color transfer from the lips. The cosmetic composition for lips according to the present invention not only suppresses color smudging from the lips but also increases the gloss of a formulation and can thus improve rough and matte makeup expression of the lips, visual dryness, and the appearance of dead skin cells and wrinkles.
Microcapsules prepared from proteins
Disclosed are microcapsule compositions comprising a microcapsule dispersed in an aqueous phase. The microcapsule has a microcapsule core and a microcapsule wall. The microcapsule core contains an active material. The microcapsule wall encapsulates the microcapsule core and is formed of a polymeric network having a protein moiety, a multi-functional electrophile moiety, and a third moiety derived from a chaotropic agent, a multi-functional nucleophile, or a combination thereof. Also disclosed are preparation method and consumer products containing the microcapsule composition.
